Subject: Smirk Still AWOL
Is "our" Commander in Thief EVER going to do an
open press conference,
where he takes questions from the so-called media?
I don't think he's done one
since MONTHS before the "election." Not
that the whore press will ask him any
tough questions (HA!), but maybe somebody from
the Washington Post will ask him
something substantial -- or maybe Carville could
sneak in in disguise.
Or is he just going to keep sending that turd
Ari Fleischer out to spin for him
(the guy with "LIAR" written all over his smarmy
face!)?

I did my democratic duty for the week-

Subject: Big Oil Story
BC,
A friend of mine recently returned from a vacation
on St. Lucia island
and was amazed to find huge oil laden storage
tanks.
It was explained to her that these were reserves
held by unknown
business people waiting for the "right price."
It was her intuition that these "unknowns" were
probably proximate to
the American oil industry. One wonders
how much oil is in storage
like this waiting for that magic price before
it goes to market?

In regards to jonbastian's comments:
Actually, the reason Los Angeles hasn't been affected by the California
power crisis is
because THEIR power company is municipally owned and operated.
In other words,
that evil nasty "socialist regulation" is what's keeping all the Hollywood
lights aglow.
Incidentally, LA Municipal Power Co. is making a KILLING selling their
juice to us Silicon Valley folks.
They're going to turn a profit in the hundreds of millions, which may
be a first for a publicly owned utility.

Subject: Marc Rich
Hey BC:
The ditto sphinctors are citing an obscure section of the Immigration
and Naturalization Act
in an attempt to deny Marc Rish entry into the US...specifically, they
cite the power of
Oberstaatsanwalt Ashcroft as absolute in keeping Rich out. Don't
you find it odd
that the people who are citing immigration law to keep Rich out are
the same one's
who ignored it during the Elain fiasco?
