  Excerpt:
You expect lies, but usually they're found out once a war is over.
But in this war the lying is so inept that it gets rumbled the next day.

The presenters who front this bilge should say: "We're here to bring you
24-hour rolling cack that's been made up. The minute it's made up, you'll
hear about it. And there's some breaking cack being made up right now,
apparently Saddam has filled some clouds with anthrax and he's forcing
giants in the Republican Guard to blow them towards Bournemouth.
We'll bring you more as soon as it's made up."

Hey, you want to know a secret?
I think Dave is against Bush's bloody oil war.

Trust me, Dave's been sick in bed for 34 of the last 38 days, and apparently
he's been watching the 24/7 war coverage, and his nightly Rummy jokes
tell me Dave's sending a signal but he doesn't want to get Dixie Chicked.

 ha ha

Paul said Dave's drugs are acting like a truth syrum, (Is that how you spell that word?)
because Dave's been more brutal than usual about expressing opinions and stuff.

Trust me, I had my name in the liquor license for three years.  I'm the guy in handcuffs
if I guess wrong, so I got real smart real quick about knowing who was drunk, and
Ol' Dave is rocking his way thru this week with a tongue thicker than Jenna's arrest record.

 Sidebar:
I probably shouldn't bring this up - Christian will kill me for saying this,
but I haven't even been on the air yet and already I've had to fire two producers.

Get this - both of them - said I should only do BartCop Radio when I was completely sober.

 ha ha

I need yes men around me, like Saddam and Dubya.
I'll keep looking, I'll get the right producer, and BCR will be a monster.

Subject: wrong about POW's hair color and what it means to iraqis

Now hold on, before we get started, I know male pigs better than you - I am one.
I do pretty good at keeping it in the cage, but testicles give you bravery and stupidity.

 hey bart:

just a quick note from this person who is getting her Ph.D. in (ancient iraq) mesopotamian
studies and who works with 000s of folks who go to iraq and the middle east all the time:

 there are *lots and lots* of  blonde, blue eyed, and "american" looking folks in the middle east;
they are in every nation across the region, from israel to india.

I reserve judgement, I think "lots and lots" is somewhat of a misnomer.

why? because since well before the crusades, "nordic" type people have been meddling in that area:
raping, kidnapping, ruling, being sold as slaves, and sometimes even converting to islam and moving
there for good! it started way back when the greeks and persians were killing each other, and that
famous blond Alexander the Great f*cked his way (boys and girls) across every nation from greece
all the way to india. add to that list the romans, byzantines, the french, english & german crusaders...
you get the idea. but for more than 2300 years, "white" folks have been making babies with "brown"
desert dwellers, and i've personally seen the result- an advisor of mine from palestine is blue-eyed,
and has a beautiful red-haired daughter. only in this country would we assume that a certain hair/eye
combo means a person is "100%" white.

Well, in an extra-friendly way, I suggest you're agreeing with me.
The Nordic types were seen as prizes, as upper class, more sexually desireable.

...but of course, you probably wouldn't know that, given they way our media and culture
 portray those middle eastern folks.

I'm sure that's true, but surely you'd admit middle eastern folks don't share our values, right?
They seem to value sacred sand over the lives of their children. I grant you the X-Files and
Roswell and the pristine bullet in Dallas before I'll admit there's an invisible cloud being who
wants our children to die to preserve His sacred sand.    That's just nuts.

...and it wouldn't look good for the ditto-monkeys to see lots of dead blonde and blue eyed kids
and people who look just like us (or should i say you, as i'm black ;-) getting blown away on our
nightly TV. That might make all those folks who believe that our blonde, blue eyed god who we
are told wants us to kill those pagan sand niggers could be angry at us, or worse still make those
same good 'murkans think that iraqis are actually human! and that wouldn't go well for the BFEE
and their corporate media masters at all...

 ha ha

I'd contribute to put that on TV or on the radio.
Hey, I know some people in radio.
Why don't you grab some MP3 shareware and send us "Black Perspective" every week?
 That would be cool.

...check out some academic sources about the composition of the "races" of the ME, or just skim
some national geographic editions on afganistan and iraq to see what i mean. And remember,
sexualizing racial difference is a specifically WESTERN fetish,

Wait, that can't be true, can it?
 Trust me, that's not true.

I know a small group of Middle Eastern men really well, and that's why I said the Iraqi's
would prefer that pancake tank on Drew Carey to Courtney Cox. I've seen Middle Eastern
men negotiating with hookers where they by-passed the mostly-attractive brunette for the
hope-he's-blind blonde that should be in the hooker's dental retirement home.

Women have no clue about the animal called man.
If you want to know what men are really like, listen to the late, great Sam Kinison explain
it on his CDs and tapes.   And to my gay friends, I know Sam wasn't very cool to you,
but that was really early in the plague, and Sam was obviously ignorant of the facts.

...one the western imperial powers have been translating onto to their less white opponents
since the spanish empire kicked out the african moors-- "we've got to save our white women
from those over-sexualized black demons!"  (white-favoring) racism is *our* invention, trust me.

Hey, we're looking at this from two different angles.
You're looking at it with intelligence and science - but what I'm saying is true.
 I don't think a woman could ever understand a man's stupidity.

 Helen of Troy
That divorced American in the twenties that married Brit Prince Fred and caused WWI,
Fannie Foxxe (what that her name?) who seduced Wilber Mills in DC's Tidal Basin.
Monica - men will throw away their marriage, their kids, their presidency for a woman.

It's the same thing that makes us wage war.
But Dim Son's testosterone is killing thousands, instead of getting him laid.

 love your show, as always.

 michelle

 Michelle, I enjoyed it.
I hope you took my ramblings as positives...

Sometimes I can be really good with dates and numbers.
Oh, it might take me 60 tries to remember it, but when I do, it's forever.

 Today is April 3, 2003

Twenty six years ago tonight we saw our second live Zeppelin concert in cowtown OKC.  They had a
really bad night. The show was scheduled for Mar 3, but Plant got some horrid throat dreck and was
put down for 30 days, and the band's equipment was in storage or transit and they couldn't practice for
that loooong month and they came out under-practiced and rusty. They did a non-documented night in
Ft Worth and then headed to OKC for their second show which was less-than total magic.

But, I recorded that less-than show with less-than good equipment, but I was the only person on Earth
that had a copy of that night and that bought me membership in the extra-exclusive live Zeppelin trading circles.
These "tapers" wouldn't sell their shows, they would only trade with other original tapers of live shows.
This seems very unfair and very un-American but my best arguments fell of deaf ears.

 Sidebar:
Our first Zeppelin show was St Louis 2-16-75, another re-scheduled Plant-illness performance.
They ruled the world that night, and I know people who have perfect copies of that magic night,
but since I don't have other exclusive shows to trade them, the bastards won't give/sell/trade me a copy.

 That's just wrong.
Getting off on the exclusivity of a tape, and looking past the music?
 That's just wrong.

And just to round out the trilogy, the third time we saw Zeppelin - no words have I.
They had one of the great nights as a band and the red pyramid made it even better.

Anyway, today is April 3, a date I'll always remember.
But that means tomorrow is April 4.

April 4 was a dark f-ing day for America.

Subject: Radiohead's new album: "Hail to the Thief"

 Hey Bart,

I'm looking forward to Radiohead's "Hail to the Thief." scheduled for release in June.
 The first track is "2 + 2 = 5" (clearly inspired by 1984).

I'm pleased finally to see some musicians express their opposition to the current political climate.
It was albums like REM's Document that got me through the Reagan years.

 David (Doctor J)
 Baltimore

David, I don't know that I've ever heard a Radiohead song, but I'll damn sure give them a listen
if they tell the truth about the unelected jackass who's ruining America's reputation worldwide
