Imagine that September 11th never happened.

 In only a year an a half, President Bush has overseen the biggest economic downturn since 1929.
 Millions of people have lost hundreds of billions of dollars. They lost their retirements, their life
 savings, their 401ks, their jobs, their homes and their health insurance. Poverty, unemployment,
 drug use and violent crime are up from the Clinton years.

 The Republican CEO friends of Bush have looted their companies, crooks taking hundreds of
 millions while leaving their stock holders and employees holding an empty bag. All while Bush looks
 on with his stupid smirk doing nothing about the structural causation, only pointing his finger at
 unnamed individuals, once his best pals.

 Bush and Ashcroft have decimated the Bill of Rights. About all we have left is more people with
 more guns, more balkanization regarding States Rights, and I suppose they still can't force is to
 house soldiers in our homes - though I bet most Americans would love to have a few camouflaged,
 flag wearing, grenade laden, machine gun toting wannabe killers strutting around their bedrooms.

 Clinton's black budget has been lost to the red, the deficit and the debt is rising faster than when
 Ronald Reagan was in the White House. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, prescription drugs,
 health care, HMOs, stock market, all a bigger mess than ever before. Death, bombs and executions
 increasing. The majority of the civilized world (uncivilized too for that matter) thinks we have gone
 off the deep end. And to top it all off, we have declared war a couple guys in a cave in Pakistan.
 Really, I am not kidding! The most powerful nation on Earth, declares war on a couple guys in a
 cave and almost a year later they are still there! It’s a REAL REAL silly business, which of course,
 we are 100 percent behind! The rest of the world is correct, we have gone off our rockers.

 Those guys in that cave are the dynamic that feeds our politics and culture these days. All this nasty
 dumbass crap Bush and gang have done to us, does not matter one wit. For when GOD and FLAG
 are intoned, we bend over and spread our cheeks for them.

 If it were not for Osoma Bin Laden, Bush would have the lowest poll ratings since Richard Nixon,
 there could possibly be impeachment hearings regarding incompetence, and the GOP would be in
 Newt Bomb-throwing mode rather than so many in the leadership retiring because they believe they
 have won the political war once and for all.

 But instead, we will require our children to pledge themselves to God and State, we begin the
 destruction of our educational system by taking the money out of public schools to create enclaves
 of American Talibanies. We will stick flags on your coats, on our cars, in our yards.
 We will pray to our government proven God and beat our jingo war drums
  because we are a bunch of GODDAMN DUMB FUCKS.

   So there you have it. Why I have kept quiet of late…
