It took me less than a minute with Google to find
confirmation of these two diametrically opposed quotes
and yet the so-called Liberal media have either
failed to spot them or ignored their existence.

Bush: Is he with us or against us?
Was it a flip-flop or a lie? NBC and the Whitehouse
report, you decide:
"I'm a war president. I make decisions here
in the Oval Office in foreign policy matters with war on my mind. "
- George War Bush, NBC's Meet the Press interview with Tim Russert,
February 8, 2004
http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/NBC402A.html
"The enemy declared war on us, and you just
got to know nobody wants to be the war President. I want to be the peace
President."
- George Wpeace Bush, Speech to rich corporate donors,
Cedar Rapids Iowa, July 20, 2004

Perhaps this is where George got the idea?
http://www.denniskucinich.us/staticpages/index.php?page=20040215224814249
"KUCINICH: As president, I will see myself
as a peace president. And I think we have to change
this metaphor of war in our society.
We have to quit talking about addressing problems "a war
on this, a war on that. We already see
this last war was not necessary."
Otter, the media is lazy - and they're pushing hard for Bush's election.
Meanwhile, Democrats are afraid to fight.
