Subject: Pokerfest summary with pictures
Bart~
Hey now!!
I would love to provide you with a wonderful,
detailed report about my Pokerfest experience,
but my alcohol consumption that day leaves most
of the details a little fuzzy. First of all, I started
playing poker online at partypoker in anticipation
of the tourney, which really helped. Tom and I
also have some friends in the great white north
who helped us out playing with "live" people.
I was soooo nervous when I sat down at the first
game, but I noticed that a few others had shaking
hands as well, so that made me feel better about
the whole situation. Vegas Dave did a great job
being the dealer and playing his hand as well.
I did meet my goal of not being the first person out
of my games, so that made me happy! I tried
the "Im just a giggly girl who doesn't know how to play"
bluff that I had seen work so well on Celebrity
Poker, but that didn't work. These guys were way
too savvy for that, plus it made me feel
I'd committed a crime against woman-kind. Sorry ladies!
I had a great time meeting all of my fellow bartcoppers.
It's so nice to meet genuine, intelligent people
who are all working for the same goal.
I felt like I was getting together with some old friends I hadn't
seen in a while. I would definately like
to attend any future events and would encourage others to do
the same. I'd like to thank Chicago Jim,
his lovely wife and everyone else for taking the time to make
Pokerfest so great! Cheers to you! I've
enclosed the only pics I took during the event.
Ally the Roulette Queen
..
Ally, thanks for that.
The pokerfesters were nice and police all after noon, but when Cheney
showed up,
he recieved quite a few "F yous" from the room, but then we got back
to business.
