Subject:  fake 9-11 warning and Deam

Bartcop,
I was furious about this!

Imagine the people who were scared to death going to work on Monday in those areas!
I was already suspicious about the original warning because first I heard last week that they caught the
Al Qaida guy on the day of Kerry's speech, then it was the Sunday before the speech that he was caught,
and now I read that it was a MONTH ago.  Right there, I was suspicious.

THEN, Ridge said the warning would be in effect through November 2nd.
Now, why would he have a specific date (ahem) in mind?

Did he know for sure that they would attack before that date? NO!
That's why I knew they were lying.

Still, I never wanted to believe that even these criminals would go that far over the line of decency,
but every day they prove me wrong.  BUT, here is the killer part:  if those documents were PRE-9/11,
why didn't any of them mention the Pentagon, the White House, or especially the Twin Towers which
had been targeted since 1993????????

eh??

Maybe...the whole thing is one big lie!

The worst part is that if there ever is a real attack, no one will pay attention, so Rove's game actually
is endangering people (not that they care....)  Dean got fried for what he said, but you see, that's why
I LOVED Dean; he is not afraid to call them on their lies and stick to it.  He was the politician with the
brain and courage to tell the truth.  Of course, Lieberman got on CNN and pretty much called Dean a nut,
but today he has egg on his face (an improvement!)

Subject:  pot as pain medication

hey BART,

For almost 5 yrs now I have suffered chronic back pain and
will soon be going under the knife for a spinal fusion.

I am prescibed up to 6 percocet and three vicodin a day just so I
can walk and 2 weeks ago I smoked pot for the first time in over 15 yrs.

To my suprise my pain level went  down so much I was able to have a good
romp in the hay with my wife pain free for the first time since my injury.
I told my Dr. and he said, "Smoke it and don't get caught."

I think I'll take that advice.

Ranzillicuss, if I read you correctly, ...are you saying Wednesday's issue was
slightly better because the delay allowed me a chance to actually write something?

I think the page would be quite a bit better if I had a chance to think and write,
but this Lucy-at-the-candy-factory pace doesn't allow much time for anything.
There's barely enough time to copy-and-paste and add a quick comment.

Also, the faster pace makes time zoom by faster than ever - that's a bad thing.
It seems like every night, CSI Vegas is on, but no, it's only on once a week.

It's possible a chronological reassessment may be necessary before long.

Subject:  re: terror alert

Bart,

Leave it to Gov. Dean to speak out--again.
I've written in to the Kerry campaign, that I think Kerry ought to change his line to something like,
"Do I think Bush is using terror for political gain?  Well, he's the only one who really knows, but I
don't like to think that way.  Surely he remembers that it wasn't pretty the final time the boy cried wolf."

Wonder if it will take--

You always hit the nail on the head.  Democrats don't seem to want to fight, or fight back.
It's very discouraging.  Here in KS, we have (had) an excellent Dem candidate to run against Brownback,
and the Repubs even had a decent (for a Repub) candidate running against him in the primary.
The Dems had another candidate who filed, unaware that someone already filed.

Earlier in the year, the Repubs wanted open primaries, so that independent and unaffiliated voters
could vote in the Repub primaries.  They asked the Dems to do the same.  After a big meeting with
much input from elected State level Democrats, it was decided to open our primaries.

The elected Dems were afraid it would bring bad publicity not to open the primaries,
since the Repubs opened theirs.

Not long after that, conservative Repubs sued the State Repub party to close the Republican primaries,
because the chair made the decision.  A court decided the conservatives were correct, and ordered the
primaries closed, unless a meeting was held and the decision was made by a majority.

Meanwhile, ballots needed to be printed and mailed out.  There was no time to make a third change,
although the decision was made on a narrow vote to open the primaries.  The Repubs' primaries
weren't open due to the ballot s ituation.

So, wonder who won the Dem US Senate primary?
The qualified, well-spoken, ready-to-go-to-DC-and-be-a-Senator candidate, or the candidate who
filed to keep Sam Brownback's money in the state, but actively requested that people vote for the first guy?

Yep, you guessed it.  The guy who didn't campaign and didn't want to run is our candidate.
Please keep up your usual great work.
Your page and radio show keep me sane.

Subject:  Ricky Williams and pot

Bart, can you answer this question for me?
Why is pot lumped in with 'performance enhancing' drugs?

As far as I can tell, if you are stoned, you move slower, think slower, react slower
-- this is considered an 'enhancement' to athletic performance?

I just don't get it.

(withheld)

Simply, they are lying.
They don't want athletes to have fun, so they make shit up.
After all, it's important we please the ICB.

Pot might help you gain an edge watching films or designing plays.
I'll bet half the video games ever written were by dopers with crazy imaginations,
just like half the best songs in rock music were written with "help."

But certainly there'd be no physical advantage - whitey just likes playing overlord.

What if the intel dudes told her, "You can save American soldiers if you soften

Granted, the torture and rapes are almost impossible to justify for any reason,
but if they told her that humiliating the bad guys would really save lives, she should be freed.

How about just separating from the partner and getting out?
If it isn't working, why don't husbands just screw up the courage to end it and get the fuck out.

It would take no more than one hour to break the bad news and pack a bag.
Yes there's going to be lots of emoting, or not.

In Hacking's case, it wasn't that he was going to have to pay lots of alimony.
The guy had no money or future for that matter.
This is a very sad story for all concerned.

Mary, I was being flippant about the Vegas hookers.
I should have made that more obvious, but the facts remains too many men
see murder as a way out of a failed marriage and that's puzzling as hell.

If you're not in the CIA/BFEE, they're going to catch you.

If a man really, really hates his wife with all his guts, why let her get the "last laugh?"
Why spend 30-50 years getting raped in prison when you could've just walked away?

Subject:  Hacking murder

Bart,

Yes, they have a knife with her blood on it, found in the apartment; blood on the carpets
and the bed frame, and a mattress that he tossed in the dumpster that presumably has blood on it too.

In fact, when he said that he was out looking for her, he was actually out buying a new mattress at a local store,
which he bought without even sitting on it. And finally, he confessed to a worker in the psych.unit of the University
of Utah medical center four days after the crime that he had killed her while she was sleeping and tossed her body
in a dumpster. He's been arrested on a non-death penalty murder charge, instead of the aggravated murder he was
originally charged with. His family are all high-powered doctors and muckety-mucks in the Mormon church.

If it was up to me, after he was tried and if he was convicted, I'd say make him kneel in the landfill
(her last resting place) and shoot him in the back of the head.

Subject:  why people (Dems too) won't call Bush on his lies

Bart,

In Vol. 1370, you wrote:

> "They got caught LYING again.
> Why won't somebody bedsides lonely Howard Dean call them on this?"

I've given this a lot of thought to why people are content to swallow Bush's lies time after time.
I think it makes people feel so incredibly uncomfortable and insecure to think that their PRESIDENT
would lie to them about matters of such grave importance as war and terror warnings that they are
perfectly happy to go on believing he really has our best interests at heart.

There are all lot of people who think, "Surely he wouldn't lie to us about the WMDs!
This is life and death we're contemplating here.  Surely he wouldn't lie!"  And then when he
lies again, most people tell themselves, "Well, okay, maybe he fudged a little bit on the WMDs,
but he WOULD NOT lie about a terror warning, because that is just TOO serious.
No decent person would scare people to further their own best interest.

Bush is a man of God.  He tells us so all the time.
And we believe him because he is the president."

It's as if Bush is our daddy and he comes in and tells these tall tales and we must believe him,
we must, because to doubt him would be to doubt the very foundation of our lives.
Now, you don't feel that way, and I certainly don't, but unfortunately there is a significant
number of people out there who do, including our members of Congress.

Yanno good buddy, if you look at the pic there isnt a wrinkle on her face...
it's just all crunched up in emotion and a little shiny cuz the makeup is a few hours old.

I think what she looks like is this: young, and really, really upset.
Where the HECK did you find that picture?

Yeah, I'd hate to be famous.
I'd hate to be famous and drunk in public.
I'd hate to be famous and need to stop at a 7-11 for some Prep H.
I'd hate to be famous and have a fight in public with Mrs Bart (we don't do that, anyway)
I'd hate to be famous like Catherine Zeta Jones, who's in court this week testifying about
the stalker who promised to cut her up and make her the most famous celeb murder ever.

Famous people say, "You get a better table at a restaurant," like that makes up for
a hundred people asking you for an autograph while you're trying to eat.

BTW, that same site has pictures of Paris Hilton, bruised as hell.

That cheek bruise looks awful.
I wonder who did that to her, and if they were arrested?
If I had $300M and you did that to me - you'd be "fishing" right now.

Those look like finger bruises, don't they?

Subject:  the Hacking murder

That's a pathetic human being, that Hacking fellow.  What a coward.  And what an idiot.
He was so trapped in his falsehoods and so cowardly that instead of facing his wife, admitting
his wrongs, asking for forgiveness and taking responsibility for his behavior in whatever way it
manifested itself (as in forgiveness from his wife, or the boot), he took an innocent life...possibly two,
if she was pregnant...because he was too cowardly and too pathetic to be a man.

How very sad for Lori Hacking's family and friends.

The death penalty is too good for him.  He should live and live with the guilt and live with the
knowledge that he's a pathetic coward.  I hope he's sane so that he can live with that pain
and guilt for the rest of his life.

I'd spit on him if I could.
Thanks for letting me vent, and keep that hammer swingin' hard, Bart.

Subject:  Dean/Lieberman

Bart,

As soon as I heard about the "terra alert" I thought of Karl Rove....
It's pretty obvious to me what Bushcorp is up to.
I caught Howard Dean's comments on CNN and let out a yahoo!

Then CNN went to Joe Lieberman's comments on Howard Dean's take on the bullsh*t terror alert
(which by the way was 24 hours BEFORE Ridge admitted that the info was three years old). Lieberman
made me want to hurl chunks. I was actually nauseated by that bastard. He's spineless and totally f*cking clueless.

Lieberman needs to start wearing his tutu to work or just hang it up and start hanging out with Zell Miller (D/R-Brain Damaged).

Kerry actually back pedaled on Dean's comment which kinda pissed me off. Kerry's handlers need to keep him quiet
when this kinda stuff goes down. He has been getting intelligence briefings but I tend to wonder just how abbreviated they are.

When Delay (R-F*cking Nuts) makes wild ass comments, the Repubs stay totally silent.
I wish that the Dems could do the same for their own.
