Hey, Bart!
Why didn't they? They did, allegedly. As
it turned out, by coincidence, no doubt, two AWACs planes were
airborne at that time, on pre-planned 'exercise'
missions. (A point I mentioned in my previous date rape piece
you printed a while back). (Just as we
recently found out the CIA had planned for that day practicing a 'simulated'
emergency of a plane crashing into its
headquarters, and earlier knew about the 40,000 plus British and American
forces that had been gathered near Afghanistan
operations areas by pre-planned exercises on 9/10).
So the theory isn't that the AWACs failed
to act, but that they directed the flights
of those planes,
likely without suicide pilots at all.
Bart, 7 of the 19 alleged hijackers have
been proven to be alive and well, and one has been proven dead
a year before 9/11. If any of those guys
boarded the planes in the first place, we're not sure who they were.
My information is that no security cameras
caught any of these guys in the supposed airports of departure
that day (I think Atta was filmed in the
Maine airport earlier that day, getting to Logan with only 15 minutes
to make his connection).

There are official passenger lists missing
any name of the hijacking suspects. Those are also short
of the number supposed to have been aboard,
and for some of the planes, short more than the
supposed number of hijackers. But in all
cases, at least short enough that you could add the 4 or 5
supposed hijackers and fit them in the
stated passenger load.
So, it could be that the lists have simply
been purged of the names of the 19 (although that still leaves
some passengers unaccounted for). But that
has never been officially stated or admitted, either by the
airlines or by government officials.
