Subject: Will they steal
2004, too?
Dear Bart:
I am concerned over the likelihood of a
manufactured or 'let it happen on purpose'
terror attack on America, to put Bush's
ratings back up, just as you and Marc say.
Two or three things may lessen that possibility, now and in the future.
One is that the timing is too soon. Ideally,
it should cancel the national election altogether,
so late summer might very well be ideal
for a 'temporary' delay in the fall election.
(Not that this is a very comforting thought--
not now, later?)
Another is the notion I've heard that the
Bush defense on the 2001 attacks, 'hey, no one
could have predicted this,' just won't
wash now, and that actually, allowing an attack would
be a measure of failure for him, and keeping
an attack from happening, a key campaign point
('he kept us safe by attacking Iraq (?)').
By this theory, if another attack happened, Bush
would be blamed, but good.
Not sure I buy this one. If America is attacked,
the first response of Americans is to
back the president, even ones with little
reservoir of respect of the people, such as
Gerald Ford in the Pueblo or Mayaguez seizure
by N. Korea, or Carter, already pretty
unpopular, at first when the hostages were
taken in Iran. They jumped some 20 percentage
points in approval ratings overnight.
Worse, from W.'s standpoint, is my theory
that all of the unpleasantness of his term in office
may be wiped off the slate by his martyrdom
in the next terror attack on America, intentionally,
by the Overlords for whom the BFEE is just
a subcontractor, and even Bush 41 agreeing.
It's a perfect solution for their problems.
The Bushes want to be the dynasty the Kennedys
almost became. They were greatly aided
by the mythologizing martyrdom of JFK. And the
biggest hurdle in becoming a political
dynasty is W's pathetic administration and record.
So, they'd get their own family martyr,
erase all questions about the callow Dauphin, and
set up the rest of the family for high
office, while having a GOP ticket win the election handily
in a national grief response.
Thinking back to the phone calls tipping
the White House that Air Force One was a target
on 9/11, using certain code phrases (like
the code name of the day, which is top secret and
changes randomly) to prove they knew what
they were talking about, it's possible that W was
supposed to buy the farm that day as well.
Eventually, the WH recanted that story,
claiming (after William Safire challenged them to
reveal what traitorous group in the government
had targeted Bush) that they were mistaken.
Mostly, people take this to mean that the
first story was a lie, to cover up W's apparent cowardice.
However, if it had been a lie, they would
have stuck to it. I think the recantation was the lie,
and that they had received such a warning.
Moreover, when AF-1 first went aloft and
flew in circles for a couple of hours, it had NO
air force jet escort for several hours.
Maybe this shows that the Air Force was complicit in
some attempt on W, because the most common
way to facilitate such an attempt is to withdraw
the normal protection. Or, it may mean
that the WH feared having Air Force escorts, because
of knowledge of some Air Force group involved
in this.
If this line of thought is true, it is possible
that W knows if there is a next terror strike, it will
also strike at him, and he's very determined
to stop it before it begins, out of self protection.
If this seems too far over the top, consider
that the top establishment types appear to be
secret society members, which have pagan
theories at their basis. Among those theories are
the need for human sacrifice of noble blood
at intervals, don't ask me why, but probably to
propitiate the gods. I've heard that the
term 'Peer of the Realm' meant of sufficiently high
borne status to serve as the sacrificial
lamb, in the stead of the actual monarch or their
immediate families. And maybe it's simply
to jolt the populace into a 'shock and awe'
reverence for the powers that be, sort
of in the global seismic shock way the death of
Diana (of the house of Spencer), married
into the house of Hanover (Anglicized from
the German into the house of Windsor) transfixed
the world.
