Subject: What's next?

So, it turns out that Rush is a racist bigot junkie.   Somehow this is sort of anticlimactic,  I mean, it's not like
Dr Laura giving up the practice of her religion, or that the good Dr. hadn't spoken with her mother for years,
or high roller and morals blow hard Bill Bennett blowing $9,000,000.00 in the casinos of Atlantic City.
I mean it was sort of a given that Rush was a bigot,  he had made many off color racially oriented remarks
on his radio show over the years,  His "homeless updates" theme song,  referring to Jessie Jackson as
REEVEERAAND  JAACKSOOON,  and calling Louis Farrakhan  "Calypso Lewie"  were but a few of
the racist slurs  listeners of his radio program could expect on a regular basis.

Which brings us to the Junkie part.  As a regular listener of the Rush Limbaugh radio show I think I can now
put some of the changes in the show over the years in perspective.  When news of his hearing loss broke he
changed formats from a "screened caller" driven format to a "host" driven format.  Mind you, both of these
formats are  controlled by the Host, but the reason given was that his hearing impairment prevented him from
being able to hear the phone callers, and no doubt that was the case for a while.  But I think it is also possible
that in a state of drug induced numbness Rush just didn't feel like having to deal with the occasional curve ball
that having on air callers presented.  I think this also explains so much of the slurring of his speech during that
time period.  If Rush was using 1/10 of the drugs that his accuser is alleging that she supplied him with it is a
wonder that he could breath, let alone talk in complete sentences.

Also the shift in location from the nonexistent E.I.B.Building in New York City to his Palm Beach private
compound in Florida now take on a different light.  It had to be much easier to scrape Rush up off the floor
and prop him in front of a microphone in the privacy of the gated community in Florida than in the multi-tenant
building that housed the Rush Limbaugh show in N.Y.C.

The quantities of controlled substances that his accuser is alleged to have provided him are enormous.
4,350 illegal pills in one  47 day period alone.  And not just any substance but OxyContin, one of the most
powerful prescription drugs available to control sever and extreme pain.  Commonly called "hillbilly heroin"
OxyContin is most commonly abused by grinding it into a powder to defeat its timed release properties so
the user gets a bigger drug Rush.  Eating them in handfuls probably gives much the same effect.

Mind you,  I listen to the Rush Limbaugh show because I feel that it is a moral necessity to be knowledgeable
of my enemy.  If I am to wish bad things on Rush I have an obligation to be sure that Rush is truly a bad person.
Abuse of pain meds doesn't make Rush a morally failed man.  Hiding pills under the mattress so his wife can't
find them doesn't make Rush a morally failed man.  Paying off hush money to his maid-dealer for the expressed
purpose to keep his reputation intact, while maintaining his moralistic "We are better than you because we are
moral and you are immoral " shtick. does.

Yet, something else is tugging at my conciseness,  2 days ago the big news story was Karl Rove's probable
felony of leaking the name of a C.I.A. operative to the media.  Today that story is out of the headlines.
And in Florida we know how they punish republican drug offenders,  remember Noel Bush?
