Right Wing Gets
Gored
by Howard Kurtz, Bush's cabanaboy at the Washington Post
Whore in blue, FizzTwo in green, Bart in black
Complete article of Bush-loving horseshit
Al Gore has become a true believer in the vast right-wing conspiracy.
Not since Hillary Clinton has a prominent Democrat so publicly ripped
the conservatives for making people with D after their names look bad.
(Although in Hillary's case, what the VRWC was charging - that her
husband was carrying on with the intern - turned out to be true.)
It's stupid remarks like this that want to make me puke when I hear Kurtz'
name.
Yes, Clinton got a blowjob from a star-fucker. But maybe Kurtz wasn't paying
any
attention when the VRWC worked assiduously to destroy his presidency from
the day
he was elected?
After The Hunting of the President, who can deny there was a VRWC?
Lyons and Conason (plus Brock, later) layed it all out in terms even ditto-monkeys
couldn't deny.
Unlike the former first lady, Gore specifically indicts elements of the
media for
carrying the right's political water. And he names names - unlike most
pols who
want to avoid ticking off those who buy ink by the barrel.
So you could depict this as a profile in courage. Or a profile in
self-destructiveness. What, after all, does the ex-veep gain by
denouncing the likes of Fox News and the Washington Times?
What does he-- or any Democrat to the left of Lieberman or Miller-- gain
by keeping quiet
about the proto-fascist media? Just plain old Corporate Media Whoredom
is bad enough for
democracy, but Fox and the Washington Times are not just plain corporate
media; they are
ideologically motivated Far Right propaganda arms. They both have a goal--
and unless your
politics are in line with Far Right role models like Jesse Helms, Phil
Gramm, Benito Mussolini,
Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, HITLER, Joe McCarthy, George W. Bush, Attila the
Hun, Henry
Kissinger, Francisco Franco, Pat Robertson or Augusto Pinochet, there is
no sense in giving
these fascist propagandists any credibility by pussy-footing around with
them and treating them
like legitimate "unbiased" media.
What Gore (and Dashle) did was tell the truth - they broke Bart's Law #1.
But what a whore Kurtz is for calling Gore oon it.
Maybe he's just frustrated that his book isn't selling better, despite
a
zillion media appearances with Tipper.
You can tell Kurts listens to Rush every day. El Pigbo has been harping
away at Gore's
lack of book sales a dozen times an hour. But Gore's book won't sell because
buyers
know he's not telling any nasty lies about Clinton's zipper.
Let's say Gore is right, that conservative news outlets are trying to blacken
the reputations
of people like him. Doesn't complaining about it just sound like whining?
Or is he playing
to his base, the way conservatives have done all these years by moaning
about the liberal media?
Again, this is Rush talking, pure and simple. Kurtz learned that parroting
the Pigboy sells.
When Rush says he's show-prep for the media, he's talking about Kurtz and
Russert.
After all, if you're going to take on Saddam and Osama, you'd better be
able to deal with the
likes of the Washington Times. The conservative media aren't going anywhere.
Deal with it.
He is-- and as much as I don't like Gore and DETEST Tipper, the things
that Gore
has been saying for the last couple of months have made me re-think my
attitude
towards him. I'd say I'm open-minded towards Gore now.
The American whore media is a much tougher opponent than Bush's buddies
Saddam or Osama.
The American whore media is motivated by profit - which is bigger than
Saddam and Osama.
The American whore media could tell the truth and make money, but they
learned they can
fabricate complete lies from thin air and make money plus an extra penny
- so that's the game.
