Volume 1218 - President Monster

 Quotes

"I think this president's a disaster. I think this is the most right-wing administration we've had.
It's an administration that makes all of its decisions based on a political calculus, at least domestically,
and has been disastrous in terms of our relationships with other people around the world, and that went
into this Iraq thing in a way that has made us bear the entire burden, a burden that we didn't have to bear,
because of hubris. There are three aspects to this: One, Bush alienated the rest of the world, so we are
bearing this basically alone. Two, he misled the American people as to why we were going to war.
And three, they went in there without planning for anything but the best-case scenario."
      --Al Franken,Attribution

 Gore Endorses Dean

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
Gore said Dean "really is the only candidate who has been able to inspire at the grassroots level all over the country."
He said Dean also was the only Democratic candidate who made the correct judgment about the Iraq war.

It was smart for Gore to endorse somebody this early so the "smaller seven" would take the hint.
But - did Gore endorse the right candidate, and is it good or bad to have Gore's endorsement?

Since Gore refused to fight after promising all democrats that he would, could Dean suffer
a backlash since Gore, the "non-fighter," says Dean's the man for the job?

The TV/VCR in the BartCop studio was set to record Wesley Clark on The Screamer, so Don Imus (R-Nazi)
was on the TV when I stumbled in this morning.  His guest was Paul Begala, who questioned Gore's decision.
Begala reminded everyone that just four years ago, Gore made the highly intelligent decision that, Koresh forbid,
if Gore died in office, Joe Lieberman would be the most qualified man in America to run the country?

 What?

I think that was another in a long, long line of serial mistakes that cost Gore the presidency.
And funny, Gore leaps over Lieberman to endorse Dean, which seems to prove that Lieberman
is not the best choice to run this country, something Gore should've known in 2000

Meanwhile, Clark issued a statement saying most of the Gore staffers endorsed him.

I wonder who Gore staffer and Linda Tripp fan Stu Walcott likes in this race?

 Quotes

"In George Bush's world, ideology rules, except when trumped by special interests.
He put politics first when he imposed the tariffs, and now he's been forced to back flip
when confronted by life in the real world."
-- Joe Lieberman, talking like a Democrat.  Is he running for something? Attribution

Wesley Clark is on Hardball with Chris the Screamer tonight

He had a lot of great things to say, but for you to hear some of them,
that'll mean many hours of work so it won't be in today's issue.

Ozzy in intensive care after ATV accident
Had emergency surgery, but is expected to fully recover

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
Ozzy underwent emergency surgery at a hospital in Britain after suffering serious injuries in
an all-terrain vehicle crash on the grounds of his estate in Buckinghamshire, his publicist said.

"During examination, doctors found that Ozzy had broken his collarbone, six ribs and a vertebra in his neck,"
publicist Cindy Guagenti said, which added that the injuries were not considered life threatening.

The surgery is to lift the collarbone which is believed to be resting on a major artery interrupting
blood flow to his arm," Guagenti said. "Surgeons are also working to alleviate some bleeding into his lungs."

Seems like just days ago, Ozzy said he was taking 40 pills a day, and complained that his doctor
was over-medicating him, so I guess a wild ride on an ATV is just what Ozzy needed.

New job takes Cleland off 9/11 panel

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
Former Sen. Max Cleland, a Democrat, has been nominated by Bush to serve on the board of the Export-Import Bank.
As a result he will have to leave the commission investigating the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

The statutes governing the 9-11 panel, bar anyone who holds a federal job like being on the Ex-Im Board.

Why is Max Cleland doing this?
Why is he accepting an appointment from The Murderer that will shut him up?
Is it my imagination, or is Cleland playing ball with the B.F.E.E.?

Past statements attributed to Cleland include:
"As each day goes by we learn that this government knew a whole lot more about these terrorists
before September 11th than it has ever admitted. This is a scam, it's disgusting. America is being cheated...
We shouldn't be making deals. If somebody wants to deal, we issue subpoenas.  That's the deal."

...but now he accepts an appointment from the guy hiding the truth about 9-11?

Past criticism of Cleland, a triple amputee, has included his apparent "acceptance" of the 12 or 14 point
Diebold swing the day of the 23002 election, which didn't set very well with me at all.

Can anybody explain Cleland's deal with the Devil to be silent about 9-11?
I sure hope we don't have another Lee Hamilton on our hands.

 ..

I don't know if the Democrats can survive another Lee Hamilton.

 Quotes

"I really don't get this whole debate on gay marriage. I'm pro-marriage. I don't care
whether it's gays, straights. Anything that promotes commitment between couples,
and helps the institution of the family, is a positive thing. Why aren't we for that?
...I think the Democrats are a bunch of cowards....I wish they would embrace the
logic of their values sentiment and say yes to marriage."
--Newsweek  Editor Evan Thomas Upset at Democratic Cowards

I, personally, have no problem with gay marriage, but the voters damn sure do.
I'm ready to call Democrats cowards when they don't fight, but they can't win this.
Voting for gay marriage is like a voting for Nader - it just helps Bush.
I know you gays want the word "marriage," but don't you understand America's not ready?

Could some gay people write in and explain it to me?
If gays have civil union rights, how badly do you need the word "marriage?
Remember, we're talking about the politics of gay marriage, and if it can be sold to voters,
not whether or not Bart thinks it's a good idea.  Surely, gays know another Bush administration
would be a giant leap backwards and could do the gay movement tremendous harm.

 Subject: radio idea

 Hey Bart,

I've an idea for your radio listeners. For this past Thanksgiving I decided to burn
several of your shows to CD and listen to them on the drive down to visit my parents.
With 4 CDs your show lasted my my entire 3 hour trip and then some.

I plan to do the same for the Christmas drive down as well.
 Keep up the good work.
BTW, Show 19 was the best you've done so far.

 Col. Mustard

Show 19 was our first 'professional' show.
I think you'll like the two shows that came after it, too.

 Jury Finds Janklow Guilty
Since they cover for the GOP, you have to look to find this story...

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
A jury found Rep. William Janklow (R-S.D.) guilty of felony manslaughter for a car wreck
he caused in August, a verdict that could send him to prison for up to 11 years.

As always, Tom Daschle was there to tell the jury what a swell guy Janklow was.
Is there ever a time when Daschle fights for our side?  Janklow had like 9 tickets
in the last few years for speeding, but still, he went with the, "It must have been
my reaction to insulin," excuse, even tho witnesses said he seemed fine to them.

If Janklow had 50 tickets for speeding, Daschle would still go to bat for him.
Why can't we get anyone in Washington to fight for the non-evil side?

 Subject: Whaaa????

 Bart,
I think your great! but, your rant against Dean is just wrong. Dead wrong.
First of all, Clark is not a Democrat.

 Of course he's a Democrat.
He's maybe not as leftist as you or I, but he's light years better than The Murderer.
I don't care if Clark voted for fucking Roy Cohn, I want Bush back in Texas.

Not that I wouldn't mind seeing him as VP on a Dean/Clark ticket.

That's fine with me, but it would help if they weren't attacking each other.
The first thing we need is for the can't-possibly-wins to get the hell out of the way.

Plus, that still means "military man" Bush will have his good puppy media call Dean,
"That left-wing, gay-marriage draft-dodger," and how do we counter that?
 With angry websites?

Second, a military man makes a lousy president.

 Compared to The Murderer?
That might have been true before 9-11, but trust me, the country will vote for the man
they see as the better military man, which is why Wesley Clark could beat Bush.

Finally, you want Dean to play his trump card before the dealer is done passing out the hand.
Calling Dubya the chickenshit deserter he is should certainly be saved for a face to face debate
before the election, not during primaries.

Basically, you're asking us to trust Dean like we trusted Gore.
What guarantee do we have that Dean won't turn "Mr Manners" once he gets the nomination?
All Clark has to do is stand there and be makes Pinhead look extra stoopid.

Besides, Clark gets to say, "When I was getting shot defendind my country,
Bush was drunk on cocaine after deserting his duty."
That would bring down the house and the B.F.E.E..

 Keep swinging that hammer Bart!
We are going to tear those bastards a new one!

 Bart,

They've just shown John Pilger's documentary here in Australia on America's unbelievable but real abuse of global power.

Pilger was interviewing that lying piece of shit Douglas Feith when some stinking "minder" (aka intelligence plant)
stopped the interview because the subject was civilian deaths.  Sometime soon someone in that hellhole that used
to be America is going to have to say "enough!" and pick up something a bit stronger than a ballot "box' and fight back.
 I mean it.

You are past the point where democracy is going to pull things back to sanity.
Your country has been taken over by criminals and murderers and you will NOT
get it back through civil democratic debate.

 Your enemies are your rulers.........................

What are you people going to do about it?!!!!

 Paul B
 Australia

Paul, I wish I had time to look up John Pilger, but I can guess what he's trying to expose.
Some of us are angry as hell that America has been stolen by murderers and criminals,
but what we're not going to do is use violence to change the political landscape,
even tho they've done it to us time and time again.

Let's see how next November works out.

 A message from Marc Perkel

Today is election day in San Francisco.
I'm endorsing Matt Gonzalez for mayor and Terence Hallinan for Prosecuting Attorney.

In San Francisco the right wing is the Democrats and the left wing is the Green Party.
This is a city where nepotism and insider control has gone wild and the Democratic establishment
is stealing billions of dollars of taxpayer money to line their cronies pockets. I'm not normally a
Green supporter - especially after Nader - but I think it's time to stick it to the man and get
someone new elected. I mean after all - when you have a dense population of the richest people
in the world and there still isn't enough money to pave the streets - it's time for change.

Terence Hallinan on the other hand is probably the most progressive prosecutor in the country.
I first saw him in person after Bush's Nazi's raided a legal medical marijuana outlet. Terence stood up
and spoke at the protests and denounced the federal government. Violent crime in San Francisco has
dropped faster than any other California city and it's because in part that he's doing a good job.
And - he's the only one standing up to the crooked police chief who is uninterested in enforcing police
conduct when cops go out on the street and beat up random people just for their amusement.

The Democrats are so desparate to control San Francisco that they even brought out Al Gore and the
Clintons to endorse Gavin Newsom for mayor. And I usually vote with Clinton - but Newsom is part
of the machine and the machine is broken here. And - I'm not loyal to the Democratic Party.
I vote based on who is best for The People and the political hacks better get used to it.

In this case the persons who is best for the People of San Francisco is Matt Gonzalez and Terence Hallinan.
And I urge everyone in San Francisco to go out and vote for these two fine people.
