Rush's attorney actually claimed that Rush was suffering from tremendous pain due to his "degenerative disc disease"???

Obviously, Roy Black doesn't do much personal injury work.  If he did, he'd know that, if your client was in a traffic accident,
and subsequent tests revealed "degenerative disc disease", your client could expect a big settlement from the insurance company
in the range of three dollars.

"Degenerative disc disease" is doctor talk for the wear and tear on your spine that all people suffer from a lifetime of walking upright.

Though, to be fair, many Republican cretins, slithering on their bellies, may not be familiar with such a malady.

Degenerative disc disease is so common that, according the AMA, one of out three Americans over the age of 30, suffer from it.
After the age of 60, doctors don't even check patients for it:  they just assume you have it.

EVERYBODY has it.  Everybody will have it.  It is not some rare, unfortunate disease that would drive any unfortunate soul to
gobble thousands of pills.

It's a fucking sore back.  Which, again, in light of Rush's golfing, I seriously doubt he ever had.  People with chronic back pain
hardly walk to the mailbox each afternoon, never mind corkscrewing their spine to drive a golf ball.

What a liar.

Furthermore, if he is suffering from the dreaded "degenerative disc disease", why would his doctors be so confused that they
might actually think he's suffering from bone cancer???

Even mild degenerative disc disease is easily detectable from x-rays or MRIs.  I think any respectable doctor might have you
undergo an x-ray before subjecting you to a bone scan.

I guess what I'm saying is:  Rush is lying, and his attorney is spinning for the rubes.
He's a junkie because he's weak and he's human, just like all those people he's spent endless hours reviling.
Revile yourself, fatboy.  And while you're at it, whip up the rubes to hate you too.
It's what you're best at.
