Clinton
testifies, defends Counterterror policies
Maybe the 9-11 panel reads bartcop.com
Excerpt:
Bill Clinton defended his counterterrorism
policies in a private meeting with the 9-11 commission
and said intelligence wasn't strong enough
to justify a retaliation for the USS Cole bombing.
Bob Kerrey, who has called America's last
elected president "a very, very good liar," said Friday
on GMA he believes Clinton should have
been more aggressive in going after al-Qaida following the ship attack..
...when the CIA refused to say who was responsible?
It's pretty easy to play Monday morning quarterback after
the facts come in, Bob.
How was Clinton supposed to retaliate before a suspect
was named?
The
Artful Dodger
by Joe Conason
Excerpt:
"The pertinent question is not whether the president
would have tried to stop an attack whose details
were thoughtfully placed under his nose.
The real question is whether the Bush administration paid
sufficient attention to the stream of warnings
it received about al-Qaida, or whether, due to its
preoccupation with Iraq, missile defense
and other matters, those officials simply failed to act.
This is the million-dollar question that
Rice so expertly dodged on Thursday.

it helped to narrow the focus to this:

terrorist threats picked up by intelligence services,

Channel Drops Stern on FCC Threat
But Nazi pigs like Rush and Weiner Savage can still spew
their hate...
Excerpt:
Federal regulators Thursday proposed $495,000
in indecency fines against Clear Channel
for broadcasts by Howard Stern, prompting
them to fire him permanantly.
"Mr. Stern's show has created a great liability
for us and other broadcasters who air it," said
John Hogan, president of Clear Channel
Radio. "The Congress and the FCC are even beginning
to look at revoking station licenses. That's
a risk we're just not willing to take.".
So the BFEE gets their revenge by preventing Stern from making
a living.
In any other situation he coiuld just move to a competing station,

When Bush was disrespecting that black man
by rubbing his head, this is the quote that jumped at me.
If you want to know where this dictum still
holds sway, just look at Iraq.
Honour there means if someone in your family
brings disrespect (especially women) they get killed.
I think it's primitive, but I understand
it - and it means America will NEVER have peace while the Bush war is in
progress.
About those pictures of Condi, as far as I'm concerned, publish away.
She's a foul little creature who will sacrifice
every gain made by Afro -Americans and women over
the last 200 years, so that she can revel
in the power of the Bush Family Crime cabal.
Remember all the criminals who were part
of Al Capone's "family"? They strutted while the strutting was good.
That's what the Bushies are doing now -
and all of their lies are just disrespect to the American people.

Subject: Condi pictures
The Condi Rice obsession is wearing a bit
thin.
The NWA photo seemed to me as a black person
way over the line.
What was the point? Are you saying she
is a nigger with attitude?
Brian
You mean there has to be a point?.
This is like Clinton's economic miracle - I don't have to explain
them.
You either think an image is funny or it's not.
Do I think Condi is really in South park?
Or on the deck us the Starship Enterprise?
Or has a beard and talks like Mr. T?
No, these are either funny photos or proof I'm a racist.
I'm surprised so many people go for option two.
And the Condi pics won't last forever.
If you own a TV or surf the web, you'll know Condi was the biggest
story this week,
even bigger than 47 soldiers dying in nine days.

Subject: Growing respect for Kerrey?
How could you say that you have "growing
respect" for war criminal Robert Kerrey?
The coward admitted to deliberately murdering
women and children without cause in Vietnam.
Did he face a court marshall for his vile
war crimes? NO! the ruthless bastard was commended
for his "heroism" and served in Congress
for over a decade.
The soulless piece of crap only grew a conscience
after
he retired so his sudden confession
(30 years after the fact) wouldn't hurt
his political career.
And people still whine about the poor baby
killers getting spit on, which is as big of a lie
as the WMD and Iraq's involvement in 9/11.
Only in America. Buy a clue you idiot sheeple.
www.OneTrueBlog.com
I wrote "growing respect" because I had very little for him.
When he publicly stated that his embattled president was "a
very, very good liar,"
every talk show Nazi and every cable TV Nazi in America came
in their pants and that gave
"further proof" to the GOP that Clinton was a bad president who
needed to be impeached.
As far as the vile war crimes, (Boy, am I going to catch hell
for this!) it's my opnion
that many/most men in combat lose their sense of humanity and
once you're de-sensitized
to the deaths of fellow human beings, you come to think of them
as objects without feelings.
"Normal" men are able to murder innocent people after spending
enough time in combat.
I assume the experts have a name for this, but this is why soldiers
rape women and kill children
and generally pull a Number Six on innocent people or entire
villages, which is another reason
why war should be a last resort because this is
what men turn into when fighting in a war.

Quotes
"This is not a surprise. This is a follow up
to the McCarthy type "witch hunt" of the administration
and the activities of this group of
presidential appointees in the FCC, led by "Colin Powell Jr." and
his band of players. They and others
(a senator from Kansas City to a congresswoman from New Mexico)
are expressing and imposing their opinions
and rights to tell us all who and what we may listen to and watch
and how we should think about our lives.
So this is not a surprise. It is pretty shocking that governmental
interference into our rights and free
speech takes place in the U.S. It's hard to reconcile this with the
"land of the free" and the "home of
the brave". I'm sure what's next is the removal of "dirty pictures"
like the 20th century German exhibit
in a New York City Museum and the erotic literature in our libraries;
they too will fall into their category
of "evil" as well.

Subject: What? More troops in Iraq you say! (vol. 1290)
Dude!
After months and months of saying we need
to get the hell out of that hellhole,
now you're blaming the Smirkster for not
sending ENOUGH troops there?
What the F? What's it gonna be from you?
Either we're in, or out. Make up your mind,
eh!
Regards,
badtotheboneBob
Dude, think about it:
We have no business in VietIraq, but IF
we're going to have over 100,000 troops there
why not listen to the generals who told Rummy, "We
need more men than this?" at the
Pentagon instead of the screaming Chickenhawks who've never been
on a battlefield?
Also, if we had another 10,000 troops there, we could probably
control VietIraq's borders.
Every religious wacko (think how many are in the Middle East)
has migrated to the Sunni Triangle.
If we controlled the borders, at least the situation wouldn't
constantly be getting worse.
Why
all the stonewalling before the 9/11 Commission?
What are they fighting so hard to conceal? What secrets
have to remain buried?
If the record of the 9-11 Commission is
reviewed even superficially, it is obvious that the Bush administration
stonewalled its creation for as long as
it could, then sought to blunt its effectiveness with time restraints on
questioning,
demanding full empanelment of all ten members
(thus cutting down on the precision and depth, not to mention the time
constraints of any one, skillful questioner),
and even tried to deny it a modest extension of time in which to finish
its work.
Even in the appointment of all-important
staff, the Bush people seemed determined to take whatever potential edge
of
clarity away from the committee it could.
It will almost be a miracle if it files
a final report that will be of genuine use to the way the people do business
in Washington
because of the subtle and effective undermining
Bush's staff was able to do. But countermanding this, it appears that the
committee Chairman, Tom Kean, and his fellow
committee people are truly resolved and dedicated to the production of
a
final report which will actually be for
the benefit of the people. And it is a foregone conclusion that, by definition,
such a report
will find President Bush and his "Anything
But Clinton" moralizing inner sanctum, to be severely deficient on behalf
of the
protection of the American people in the
safety of their homes.
We know they've looted Baghdad to the Nth degree, and they even
did it legally.
The Democrats caved in, once again, and gave Bush the legal right
to "control" Iraq's assets.
This gave the BFEE the legal right to extract and sell all of
Iraq's resources without any accountability
for the oil and loot they plundered, plus Bush has the right
to sell Iraq's future to whichever BFEE
component wants to pay the highest price, the proceeds going
to the BFEE, once again.
Bush has done to Baghdad what Hitler did to Paris.
The
death of democracy

Excerpt:
"You may be wondering why Tom DeLay is raising
money for a legal defense fund and telling his
fellow Republicans in Washington to be
prepared to name his replacement, in the event he is indicted.
DeLay and Texas House Speaker Tom Craddick
may have achieved the near-impossible by breaking
Texas campaign finance laws. Since Texas
essentially has no campaign finance laws, this is no mean feat."

It's not my intention to be Ruleboy, but
progress needs to be made.
Mail is up another 100 percent, and it's
more than the team can handle.
Even after years of suggestions that they not
do this, to this day,
dozens of people send in important e-mail with "You

"You gotta see this" in the subject line.
If you title your e-mail with anything that looks like spam, it
will probably not be read
because even with cable modem I don't have the time to wait for
each e-mail to open.
Plus, if it's a big story, 30-50 people might send the same link
and there's not enough time
to open 50 duplicates of the same story.
So please, if you want your e-mail to be read (and why bother
to send it if you don't?)
please put something in the subject line besides an exclamation
of disbelief.

Bush isn't even the president - he's this adminstration's Ronald

Defends Erasure of Scalia Speech
If you tape his words, federal marshalls will arrest you
Excerpt:
Nehemiah Flowers, the U.S. marshal for
the Southern District of Mississippi,
defended the deputy's actions, saying Friday
that one of the service's responsibilities
is to provide a traveling Supreme Court
justice with security.
"The justice informed us he did not want any recordings
of his speech and remarks
and when we discovered that one, or possibly
two, reporters were in fact recording,
she took action," Flowers told The Associated

What a crock!
Scalia is a thug who doesn't want to be recorded because he might

One thing that puzzles me is that if we

in the US armed forces then why are we
calling up all of the National Guardsmen and Reservists to
fight this war? I have several friends
in various branches of the military that do nothing but train 10
hours a day. What, exactly, are they
training for? Instead we are sending bankers and college students
who do some pushups and run through some
drills every 4th weekend and for two weeks a year.
These people are supposed to be our last

Can Bullets and Bombs Establish Justice in Iraq?
Excerpt:
No one can deny, of course, that incoming
cruise missiles do concentrate the mind - the airliners
commandeered and turned into guided missiles
on 9/11 certainly had that effect on leaders of the
Bush administration. Cruise missiles, however,
like the 500-pound bombs and M1-A1 tanks being
employed to police Iraq today, are not
effective instruments for the establishment of justice. There was
no justice in the 9/11 attacks on New York
City and precious little in the U.S. invasion and occupation
of Iraq; nor is any in prospect should
the Bush administration loose its firepower gratuitously on Iran.
