"If any foreign power ever comes to occupy
the United States in the name of democracy and decides
to arrest our pundits for a little
fraternity fun, like raping and murder, it'll be interesting to see the
following fellas cut to the front of
the line: Rush Limbaugh, MSNBC fave, Michael Savage, Mark Steyn,
Jonathan V. Last, and Oliver North.
Should be fun, dontcha think? (I know it's an unfair comparison;
after all, 70-90 percent of the Iraqis
arrested were innocent.)"

Chalabi
house raid sparks anger
Chalabi bucks the BFEE - will be pay the ultimate price?
Excerpt:
US soldiers and Iraqi police surrounded
the Baghdad residence of Ahmad Chalabi today
and aides claimed the troops had raided
the house to search for fugitives.
The aide accused the Americans of trying
to pressure Mr Chalabi, a long-time Pentagon
favourite who has recently become openly
critical of US plans to transfer to the Iraqis on June 30.
Looks like the BFEE has fired a warning
shot.
Will Chalabi get the message? Or will he
be "accidentally" shot by some "insurgent?"
Be careful with the BFEE, Ahmad - they play hardball and they
have no conscience.

Families:
9/11 Panel Failing at Mission
No tough questions are being asked - thanks to Lee "Whitewash"
Hamilton
..
Excerpt:
"Today was a joke. I'm glad there was that
interruption because that was a very important message
that tough questions aren't being asked,"
said 9/11 widow Beverly Eckert, on the relatives of the dead
ending Rudy Giuliani's testimony to the
9/11 commission by standing and shouting that the federal panel
was lobbing "softball questions" and accepting
Giuliani's answers without pressing further.
"I'm glad there was that interruption," Eckert
said outside the hearing, "because that was a very important
message, that tough questions aren't being
asked." Families that have so far had a lukewarm response to
the Sept. 11 commission's work over the
past year scolded the panel for a "lost opportunity." They said the
commission breezed through questions about
firefighters' malfunctioning radios and the sharing of terror
intelligence among federal agencies and
the city.
"Maybe we'll never get the answers to these questions," said Patricia Casazza, who lost her husband in the attack.
Several relatives of victims also said they
were disgusted that the 10 members of the commission, each allowed
about five minutes to question witnesses,
wasted time to praise and congratulate Giuliani for his leadership.
One statement thanking Giuliani should
have been enough, the families said.,
I can't tell if this is a circle jerk or a handjob, but either
way it stinks.
Bob Kerrey is there to say, "This is
mostly Clinton's fault," and Lee Hamilton is on Bush's payroll
Since cameras are there, every member of the panel is praising
Giuliani who's busy praising Bush.
They never intended to get to the truth - it's a dog and pony disgrace.

that someone deliberately misled. That

as seen in the Boston Globe
The Bushadministration seems to have a serious
problem with reality.
The most recent reality challenge is the
policy of torture in both Iraq and Afghanistan,
which the administration is frantically
redefining as "abuse," "excesses," and "humiliation."
We even have Rumsfeld describing footage
of several American soldiers "having sex"
with a female Iraqi prisoner. Let's have
a little plain English here. "Having sex" with a
prisoner is known as "rape." Systematic
beatings are called "torture." Excesses that lead
to death are called "murder."
The hundreds of women and children in mass graves in
Fallujah are the product of a "massacre."
Taken together, all of these add up to "atrocities."
The dissemination of "incomplete information"
from "imperfect intelligence" is called "lies."
The billions of dollars that Halliburton
and Bechtel have reaped in profits are called "war profiteering."
The invasion of Iraq is called "illegal."
The destruction of America's international standing is called "permanent."
And Texaco/Phillips's high bid for Iraqi
oil is called "why we are in Iraq.

Lectures McCain on War, Sacrifice
If Max Cleland was a traitor to his country, it figures that
McCain is one, too
Excerpt:
"Throughout our history, wartime has been a time
of sacrifice. ... What have we sacrificed?" McCain said.
"As mind-boggling as expanding Medicare has been,
nothing tops my confusion for cutting taxes during wartime.
I don't remember ever in the history of
warfare when we cut taxes."
"If you want to see sacrifice, John McCain
ought to visit our young men and women at Walter Reed.
There's the sacrifice. We have to react
to keep this country strong not only militarily but economically.
We want to be able to have the flexibility
to do it. That's my reply to John McCain."
"The speaker is correct in that nothing we are
called upon to do comes close to matching the heroism
of our troops," he said. "All we're called
upon to do is not spend our nation into bankruptcy while our
soldiers risk their lives. I fondly remember
a time when real Republicans stood for fiscal responsibility."
Even tho he's told fewer lies, McCain has the same problems as
Powell,
They want to be a loyal Republicans but the Bush administration
hates both of them.
I wonder - how does Powell sleep at night, knowing they use his
credibility
to sell this needless, senseless and intentional war to the United
Nations?

She was for Kennedy. When she saw me on

The Face of This War
..
We've all seen this photo before, but this is
the first version showing the victim being
forced to masturbate for the "infidels."
Excerpt:
The photos from Abu ...show us Iraqi prisoners
reduced to objects, humiliated and forced into poses that
deny them their humanity, and they show
us their captors, young men and women, lost in their new found power,
in turn, humiliated, reduced to objects
of opprobrium and derision by their pornographic choreographies.
The great chill we get from viewing these
images comes not from the pornographic nature of the posing,
but from the relationships struck between
the soldiers and their prisoners. The chill comes from seeing other
human beings failing to recognize the terror
and suffering they impose on their victims, failing to see before
their eyes the very thing that we see.
When a fake cowboy sends a nation to war, and tells them, "We
don't have to play by the rules,"what other
result can be expected? Bush said, "Those
involved will be identified. They will answer for their actions."
but that was just a lie for the networks to broadcast to those
people who are not paying attention. Bush and Rummy
set this up, and like every other atrocity they've committed,
it's always somebody else's fault.

Back in the day, we'd get a Zeppelin bootleg album in the mail.
Trust me, seventies recording technology was terrible, so before we
played the album, we'd listen to about 30 seconds of AM radio hiss.
Then, when the bootleg started, it would sound clear by comparison.
Similarly, until further notice, with each $24, 6-CD order,
we'll include a pre-Tommy Mack show that was recorded
when I had less than fifteen hours behind a microphone,
back when I was going my own editing and mixing.
It's terrible!
You won't believe how bad it was!

Why the Internet generation loves to play poker
Excerpt:
Texas hold 'em is enjoying an unexpected
renaissance among Americans in general, and twenty-somethings in particular.
It is newly ubiquitous on television: The
World Series of Poker, a single event which took place last May, is replayed
on ESPN
with obsessive frequency 10 months after
it ended. The World Poker Tour, another set of tournaments located in casinos
around
the country, got picked up by the Travel
Channel last year. In the fall, Bravo introduced its heavily promoted "Celebrity
Poker
Showdown" program, betting on viewers being
riveted by a fifth-street showdown between Timothy Busfield and Coolio.

I don't like to equivocate but you do.

Let me get this straight:
America's never-elected Monkey sent those men to their deaths
on
a lie that made him richer,
and I want them replaced by UN troops so they can come home,
and in your monkey logic,
that means I want them dead and Bush is the good guy? Is
that how monkey logic works?
I don't know if that means you crossed over
or if you've always felt this way but you are
clearly on the side of those who oppose
our military. Why else would you place so much

You fail to understand what those pictures mean vis-a-vis our

The average Iraqi hates America so much they're saying, "Bring

The fact that talk radio told their sheep this is all politics

Quotes
"We have the strength - military, economic,
cultural, diplomatic, (dare I include the strength
of our religious faith, also?) - to
persist around the world unto victory - for generations if
necessary. But all this potential capacity
for victory can only be brought into full being by a
sustained act of collective will. It
is heartbreaking, though no longer perplexing, that the
president's political and media opposition
want the president's defeat more than America's victory.
