A senior US intelligence official is about
to publish a bitter condemnation of America's
counter-terrorism policy, arguing that the west
is losing the war against al-Qaida and that
an "avaricious, premeditated, unprovoked" war in
Iraq has played into Osama bin Laden's hands.
His book describes the Iraq invasion as "an
avaricious, premeditated, unprovoked war against
a foe who posed no immediate threat but
whose defeat did offer economic advantage.
(This is very, very, very, very old news if you
read bartcop.com )
Imperial Hubris: Why the West is Losing
the War on Terror, due out next month, dismisses
two of the most frequent boasts of the Bush administration:
that Bin Laden and al-Qaida are
"on the run" and that the Iraq invasion has made
America safer.
In an interview with the Guardian the official,
who writes as "Anonymous", described al-Qaida as a
much more proficient and focused organisation than
it was in 2001, and predicted that it would
"inevitably" acquire weapons of mass destruction
and try to use them.
"For my money, the game was over at Tora Bora," Anonymous
said, speaking of the area
where we had Osama cornered, but Bush pulled back so he could
go after Saddam's oil fields.

Bye - Caught on Tape
Filmmaker Kent Bye Says the Media is Partially Responsible
for the Iraq War--and He Has the Footage to Prove it
Excerpt:
Bye clicks his mouse.
First up on his computer monitor was NBC
White House corespondent Campbell Brown, who announced on a
Nov. 8 newscast, "Today's vote is a major victory
for the president. Beginning with the support of only Great Britain,
he eventually convinced the Security Council's
most skeptical members to give him a blank check for military action
without another resolution." On one of ABC's Nov.
8 newscasts, Peter Jennings reported that the Security Council
voted unanimously that Iraq should get rid of its
weapons or face serious consequences: "Here's the question on this
significant day: Is the Bush administration one
step closer to attacking Iraq as a result." And Dan Rather said,
"CBS's John Roberts reports this now starts a countdown
towards a showdown with Saddam Hussein."
"Blank check," "one step closer," "a countdown
towards a showdown with Saddam"--as far as Bye is concerned,
the media didn't bother to ponder the meaning behind
the U.N. resolution and rushed to announce that the United States
was on the brink of war. There was no mention in
the newscasts that U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said he hoped
the new round of inspections would create the opportunity
for a peaceful settlement.
There were enough things out there," Bye
says. "Enough little nuggets, red flags, that were available to
the print media and the television media that they
would have found if only they dug a little bit deeper...

Michael Moore has attacked our troops,
attacked our Commander in Chief and attacked the victims
of 9/11 saying: "The passengers
on September 11 were scaredy-cats, because they were mostly white."
I'll bet Michael Moore never said that.
Moore has sought to undermine our military
saying that "The Iraqis who have risen up against
the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists"
or "The
Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION,
the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -
and they will win."
He might have said that.
It's easy to call every Iraqi who doesn't want to be tortured "a
terrorist," but we invaded another country
for no reason besides personal greed on Bush's part, and victory
is not a guarantee. At best, I think we'll
attain the kind of "peace" they have in Israel.
In 1973, if a military commander said, "I
don't think we can outlast the enemy in Vietnam,"
would the right accuse him of "attacking our troops?" Probably, but
the statement was true.

Excerpt:
Fahrenheit 9/11 is a profoundly disturbing movie
that struck me as far closer to
heavy-handed propaganda than to art. Does anyone
seriously believe, as Moore suggests,
that the United States invaded Afghanistan primarily
to pave the way for a natural-gas pipeline?
Or that the war in Iraq was a single-minded effort
to win new contracting business for Halliburton?
Oh Christ, this is one stupid Bush cheerleader.
He thinks Bush invaded Iraq with good intentions.
He thinks evil men would not kill
to take over the world.
What does it say about our democracy when Jay
Leno and Saturday Night Live are
regarded as respected sources of political commentary?
It says we believe Leno, SNL, Jon Stewart etc more than
we believe you because we know for a fact
that whores like you, Walter Shapiro, will lie
to prop up the never-elected fraud. You're is one of the
lying whores that kept screaming "Al
Gore claims he invented the Internet" back
in 2000.
America's press cannot trusted. The American
news media once existed to disseminate the news,
but now it's all about which "truth" will sell the
most - and that makes you the whore, Walter.

I just had another ...adventure.
Right after I typed "Walter," the room suddenly

Skipping to the hopefully happy ending, I apparently
had taken too many anti-dizzy pills.
They give me one pill to stop this, then
another pill to counteract that pill, then another pill to
counteract that pill, so Doc Shariff said
to stop taking all those pills and I should be OK.

Story
The New York
Times ran an editor's note last month saying the paper's aggressive reporting
on WMDs
was "not as rigorous as it should
have been" and overplayed stories with "dire claims about Iraq," adding:
"Editors at several levels who should have
been challenging reporters and pressing for more skepticism
were perhaps too intent on rushing
scoops into the paper."
The New York Times is a whore paper with a very cheap price.
They have been anti-Clinton, pro-GOP for at least a decade.
They championed Bush's war to please Mr Rove and the right-wing.
Their excuse that they were "mislead" is laughable.
A Washington
Post editorial in October asked: "Were we wrong? The honest answer is: We
don't yet know.
But at this stage we continue to believe
that the war was justified and necessary, and that the gains so far have
outweighed the costs." Last month the editorial
page was more pessimistic about the effort to stabilize Iraq,
saying: "It can fairly be asked now whether
that mission is achievable."
The Washington Post is a whore paper, trying to compete with the Moonie
Times for right-wing mega-dollars.
The Washington Post was spoon-fed horseshit all
during impeachment - whatever lies Ken Starr wanted told,
he just called Steno Sue as if his last name was Graham or Bradlee. And
the Whore Post printed it - every time.
This phoney, "Were we wrong?" horseshit is
nothing more than public masturbation and they should be ashamed
of themselves, but they aren't.
CNN's Tucker
Carlson minced no words last week: "I am embarrassed that I supported the
war in Iraq."
I'm going to give Carlson a pass.
I accept that he might've believe Bush because he's a Republican.
On issues I don't fully understand, and there are dozens,
I will sometimes take Clinton's word on it, so I can't
blame Carlson for doing the same, although Carlson knew Bush was
a sadistic son of a bitch when he witnessed
Bush's disturbing "Please don't kill
me" side up close and personal in a limo one day.
Bill O'Reilly: "If
no WMDs are found, I'll no longer trust the Bush adminstration."
Bill O'Reilly: "I have to admit no WMDs
are found, so I trust the Bush administration less."
This idiot O'Reilly, goes all in on WMDs when there was no reason
to. He bet his reputation and
credibility on the honesty and competence of
the Illegal Monkey - and lost everything.
There was never any reason for these papers/people to lie. Had
they been doing their jobs honestly,
they could've written,"Bush claims there
are WMDs in Iraq, but so far, no proof has been offered
and Powell's UN presentation was shaky at best."
The pre-war headlines, in an honest paper, would have read, "Is
this war necessary?"
No, it was always "March to war!!" because
they followed the orders given to them by Karl Rove.
Funny, all the big time, "respected" newspapers got it wrong, but the
dim-witted Oklahoma Tequilaboy
was at least four years ahead of them. We knew the sadistic Monkey had
no brain before he was elected.
We warned people 6 days a week for four years that this illegal admisistration
was only in it for the money.
We asked a hundred times, why did Cheney (R- Heart Attack) leave
a cushy, multi-million dollar position with
Halliburton to take on a super-stressfull, $200,000 a year job - and it
wasn't to help America's poorest children.
Their plot to steal Iraq's oil is almost seven years old - and for all
we know, that's why the 2000 election was rigged
because this war HAD to happen and it had to happen now.
Hell, what if Cheney had ex parte contact with his good friends
Rendquist, Scalia and Thomas in the summer
of 2000 and showed them "intelligence reports" that Saddam was about to
nuke Israel. And to save America
from WWIII, the court HAD TO INSTALL Bush because "intelligence reports" showed
Gore was unstable
just like Tim Russert, the Wash Post, the NYW Times and the networks kept
saying - what if?
I can hear what you're thinking:
"Dial back the conspiracy nonsense, Bart.
You're losing credibility with me."
So let me ask you this:
Would evil men speak ex parte with a Supreme Court judge to take
over the world?
Would evil men speak kill innocent people to take over the world? (Kinda
moot, considering Iraq)
Would evil men allow a tragedy like 9-11 to occur to rally a rich nation
so they could take over the world?
One thing we know for sure - they
are lying, they are concealing
their activities.
They've already been caught once - Iran/Contra, and they pardoned everyone
who might talk.
Considering the stakes, should we assume the proven-guilty are
being honest this time?
