Portrays Bush As Strong Wartime Leader
Not only that, but he's smart, too - and he fixed Clinton's
sick economy
Excerpt:
House Speaker Dennis Hastert, (R-Sweaty
Wrestler), called the Democratic ticket
"weak on war and wrong on taxes. Folks,
it's an easy choice."
But Democrats were quick to challenge the
GOP theme that Bush was a strong leader,
pointing to his comments in a TV interview
suggesting that the war on terror could not be won.
"This is no time to declare defeat," Edwards said.
And Democratic Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack
told reporters in New York, "This is a
president who doesn't believe we can win the war on terror."

Subject: Hollywood Liberal (LA Rick) live in New York
I got into JFK, and was met by my step brother
Tony, who is a rather large Sicilian Man who
picked me up in a Black Cadillac. I hadn't
seen him in awhile and it was good to hang out with him again.
We burned one as we headed out of the airport.
"So tell me again what it is your doing?", I proceeded to
tell him about the website, and how I'm
here to cover the convention for My website and for Bart.
"So you want to go into Manhattan?" he asked,
"Yeah I got a hotel room already set up there"
He tells me about how he heard that the
whole city was going to be shut down by the convention that it
was impossible to even get in there, How
Penn station was going to be shut down. This was all stuff he
heard on the news. In the mean time he
had to go "make a couple of stops", "to take care of some things."
He had to go somewhere to pick up a uniform
for his brother who is in the NYPD academy. I told him
to just drop me off at the Jamiaca train
station, and I would take my chances at Penn station. I didn't know
how to get there and neither did he, so
we went out of the airport, and asked a couple of people.
We didn't find the LIRR station, but wound
up at a subway station that also had a train into the city.
(More later, time for me to head out to
the big protest rally where they are going to march around the city,
instead of to central park, because the
city refused the permit).
LATER
I just stopped back to the hotel room for
a few minutes. a half million people are here in NY today protesting
the RNC and the illegal monkey. The protesters
started marching from 23rd st. and 7th Ave. moving past
Madison Square Garden at 12 noon, and as
of 4:17 PM they are still marching past the garden..
I was at the very start of the march, right
next to Michael Moore, and Jesse Jackson. We went from 23rd up
to 34th, turned right went up to Broadway,
then turned right and went down to Union Square which is at 17th St.
When we got to the end of the march. we
turned around and started walking back against the crowd which just
kept coming at us in waves. Now 5 hours
later there are people who are just at the starting point and will cover
the entire legnth of the march. I have
never seen a demonstration this big ever. Any Republican ditto monkeys
watching this must be wondering where all
these people came from. Among the crowd are 1000 coffins draped
in American flags, that are being carried
to represent all the people who have died in Iraq. It is an awesome sight.

Hi Bart
I just wanted to tell you how much I liked
show 52. I think I laughed out loud
more than I have for any of your previous
shows and your right it did feel different.
I think it's because you really threw down
the gauntlet and declare this to be the people's war.
Enough pansy ass shit. Time to let the
Repugs and the whimp ass Dems have it with both barrels.
I know I sure am sick of politics and politicians
on both sides. I want a real person with some fire
in their belly to stand up for us and to
make us proud. I want someone who will call it like it is and
not how those greedy self serving bastards
that rule Washington say it is. It's pretty obvious that we
are not going to get that type of leader
from the current crop of money grubbing, lobbyist sucking,
pieces of shit politicians currently squatting
on D.C. But we have you Bart and for that I'm grateful.
Keep swinging that big hammer until you hit something or someone dead center.

I prepared myself mentally for vociferous
outrage against the BFEE and the timid Democrats.
As always, you were blunt, articulate,
and to-the-point. Thanks for a good show. They are consistently
at a high level.
Where is Tommy? Get on the phone with him, man! Add Talley and make it a three-way. (don't go there.)
I'm sending a few thoughts I jotted down while listening. I made them as short and concise as possible.
52-1:
• Halliburton sold Saddam the equipment
to sell oil to Russia, Germany, and France. Thanks to Snarl for enabling
the 'mad man.'
• The goal of the BFEE is to control all
life on this planet.
• Trickle down economics DO NOT work.
It is an elaborate lie. Why don't the Democrats scream? Microsoft
has not hired in ages.
All you have to do is list every company
that got a tax break and how many people they've hired and the wages they
pay.
The repubs are retreating and leaving a
scorched nation behind them for the Democrats to rebuild. It's a
cycle.
52-2:
• The same record companies that have screwed
artists over (especially the dark-skinned blues men)
since Edison invented the phonograph
are crying.
• Delta is a good example of corporations
f-ing the people. They price gouge. When the public stops taking
the airline,
they get government handjob bailouts.
They use that bailout money to buy out a regional airline putting attendants
and
service people out of work so they can
start gouging again. Then they give money to Republicans to scream
at the
Democrats for engaging in class warfare.
The flight industry is out of control.
• Does any Bartcop rule cover Fox continuing
to help steal elections because the people refuse to stop them?
Corporate America is out of control.
52-3:
• For a person who spearheaded the 20th
century drive for consumer awareness and curbing the corporate fascist
tide
in this country. Ralph Nader is
the ultimate flip-flopper for accepting help from the worst corporate bastards
the world
has ever seen (Republican Party).
• Americans are mostly television watchers.
Al Gore has to get his news network started.
• The only thing worse than taking 40%
of a presidency on vacation is the thought of the monkey actually on the
job for the whole time.
• Bev Harris taking on Diabold is like
trying to ring the carnival bell with a tack hammer.
52-4
• What I've noticed in the Olympic coverage
I've seen so far: the world hates us.
• Sarcasm comedy can be enlightening.
Not to sound like Fox, but I've heard
someone say "Republicans need an enemy."
Thanks for reading.
Keep swinging!

"...isn't it hilarious how the absolute worst
thing the Right has been able to dredge up about
John Kerry is that he might sort of
maybe have exaggerated some facts about his various
Vietnam medals and acts of and valor
and deeds of astounding heroism, which is sort of like
saying well sure you saved 10 babies
from that burning building, but jeez, you were wearing
special shoes at the time and by the

should we guffaw while we note that,
as Kerry was volunteering in Vietnam and earning his
medals and risking his life in the
most volatile and ugly and pointless and lethal and hideous
war in American history unless you
count Iraq, which you really really should, Dubya was
"serving" in the Air National Guard,

Absentee ballots go missing by Greg Palast

Although 37,000 citizens have requested
absentee ballots, Republican Teresa LePore says
she'd only received 22,000 when she began
the count. Where are the others? Don't ask: though
she posts the names of requesters, she
won't release the list of those who have voted, an
eyebrow-raising deviation from standard
procedure.
And she has no intention of counting all
the ballots received. She has reserved for herself the
right to determine which ballots have acceptable

had asked Theresa to use certified hand-writing
experts, instead of her hand-picked hacks, to check the signatures.

"Some theorize that the real reason these Vietnam

They claim that he insinuated that the U.S.

With this guy, the buck never seems to
stop. It just veers crazily around corners, never turns back,
thunders through the halls of the administration
and scares the hell out of those who try to corral it.
The few times it has been caught in the
glare of truth's headlights, its eyes were so wildly insane that
hunters, even scandal-hardened ones like
Woodward, quickly backed off.
It's time for the buck to stop. The guilty
within this destructive administration must be held accountable
for the massive damage they are causing
throughout the world. Someone must pay for the pain and
humiliation suffered by human beings under
our care whom we so cavalierly torture - literally - to death.
Someone must be held to account for the
innocent men, women and children who are nothing more than
collateral damage and who must die simply
because they are there.
Life is NOT just a box of chocolates. Nor
is it an endless video game or just one big television production.
When American soldiers, sailors and marines
are riddled with real bullets - blasted apart by real bombs
- they don't get up, dust themselves off
and go home after the "show." They die. And they stay dead.
Somebody owes us an explanation.

Subject: thinking like a Republican
I decided a little while ago that trying
to understand how Republicans think might answer a few questions.
So i stood on top of the couch and screamed
"I'M LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD. I AM THE
WAR PRESIDENT. WHERE ARE MY PRETZELS?".
I then carpetbagged myself across the room
to the other couch and turned on Fox News
and said "Affirmative action sets back blacks."
Now in the semi-trance fog of a republican
mindthink, I looked at Fox News and saw a protester waving
a sign that said "No One Died When Clinton
Lied." I scratched my head and thought "What about the rights
of the unconcieved? What about the thousands
of sperm that died on Monica's dress in a non-procreative act? MURDERER!"
Next I saw a flashy graphic about the Swift
Boat Heroes and Mr. Hume intoned "No enemy bullets were fired."
and I thought, "Well of course not.
No one in Vietnam ever fired on the American troops, as they were busy
throwing roses and accolades in the path
of our brave warriors. Sure an occasional American may have gotten
pricked by a rose thorn or two, but all
the casualties came from friendly fire. And we never raped any of
the
village women: they were asking for it
with their mini-skirt length waist wraps and nudity as they carried
burning
napalm on their backs to their poor fire
starved villages."
Then my alarm went off and I woke up....

We spent the weekend in Memphis watching Del Castillo.
Damn, that's a great band.
I knew Rick and Mark were two of the best guitar players in America,

He's got that whole stage presence/sex appeal thing going on.
Kinda like Antonio Banderas, but better looking.
I imagine he has the best time on the road :)
Monkeyfister joined us (and bought lots of drinks) and we had
the best time
watching these guys play. Rick and Mark were doing these lightning-fast
twin leads.
We'd be watching them, when all of a sudden the guitars would
start blazing and me
and Fister would poke each other, "Did
you see that?" and laugh - it was a lot of fun.
Kudos to their drummer, Mike, who I did not get a chance to meet.
I also discovered that one reason it's hard to describe their
music is because they invented it.
Someone needs to give it a name, or maybe "Del Castillo-style"
best describes it.
