 You are so right about Kerry not fighting back and especially when it comes to his talking heads on TV.
 We are watching him lose the election and he seems to think that Americans care or understand about issues.
 They do not, which is clear merely from the fact that if they had any sense of issues, the Bush Boy would be
 polling at about 3% right now. Kerry needs to go right after personality and character - mock, distort and go for the testes

 At the very least, the Kerry surrogates need to anticipate the lame recycled enRoNC talking points and respond
 to them quickly, uniformly and viciously.  For example, if the Dem gets to go first , he or she should say
"dickbag over there is about to say that Kerry flip-flopped on the 87 billion but guess what? Bush wanted to veto it
 unless it was guaranteed that the 20 billion in reconstruction would never be paid back ..." ... or ... "Enron Ed is about
 to claim that Move On attack ads are the same as ads that are demonstrably false"

 Subject: Suggestion for not hammering Kerry

 On your site just state what Bushco said/did, point out why it's bs
 and leave off the "Kerry's a pussy and will lose if he doesn't respond".

 Then send the response you think Kerry should hit Bush with to Kerry's
 campaign HQ and tell them he's going to lose if he doesn't put up a fight.

 e.g.. on the site 8/31 drive by news you had

 Next time put something more like this

 First, Kerry was on vacation instead of fighting back.
 Everyone knows this is a tight f-ing race, and will probably be decided by a hair,
 so why is Kerry acting like a kid on Spring Break?  Why isn't he working?

 Second, I don't see this page being read by "the public," so suggestions like
 "How much worse do things have to get before people realize..." don't seem
 to apply because there are no fence sitters reading this - just die hard Democrats
 and a few dunderhead stalkers and a few intelligent (but silent) conservatives.
 I think your site is bigger than mine, and you probably have more fence sitters.
 

 Another thing.  You hammer Monkeys for misspelling, yet you almost always have spelling errors
 or "spell check" errors (correctly spelled but wrong word).  No one's perfect.  I know I'm not and
 I don't expect you to be, but until you are don't point it out in the monkeys' mail.

 stop doing something, and I don't respond so well to orders unless the barker has a gun and badge.
 Let's assume you misspoke and we'll leave it at that.

 For me, the rule has two prongs:
People who type are going to make mistakes.
    As far as I know, you publish once a week, and you have more of the luxury of time.
    I barely have time to read what I've written so sacrifices have to be made
When you spell a word wrong inside a personal slur - you're fair game.
    The guy who wrote, "Get a life, you moran" is ripe for a pummelling, but if I write
    a story and fail to catch a wrong word, such as "Paris in the the Spring," to me
    that's just part of being human.  Trust me, I usually double-check my personal slurs :)

 The real Republicans are hidden away. We don't see John Ashcroft speaking on Civil Liberties.
 Where is Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Allen Keyes, the Reverend Sun Mung Moon, and Pat Buchanan?
 Where are the people behind the Republican energy policy like Kenneth Lay or Prince Bandar?
 Where is Donald Rumsfield and Paul Wolfowitz to talk about why we should torture prisoners?
 Where are the Neocons like Tom Delay and Newt Gingrich?
 These are the people who wrote the Republican platform and shape Republican policy.

 It looks to me like the Republicans are trying to put lipstick on a pig, showing people what they think
 they want to see rather than the way they really are. Republicans don't think you'd vote for them if they
 showed who was really in charge - and on that point I agree with them.

 Hey Bart,

 The reason Kerry is vacationing is that is tradition that the other candidate
 steps out of the limelight during his opponent's convention.

 Screw tradition.
 That's the stupidest reason in the world to do or not do something.
 Will history say America fell because John kerry wanted to follow tradition?

 W did the same thing in July: he went to Crawford for the week.
 HOWEVER, if you remember, Cheney was out giving speeches during that week,
 just as Edwards is doing this week.  I can't really explain why Kerry is windsurfing.

 As for Kerry's strategy, I am hoping and praying that they are laying low because
 of the financial binds that are placed on the campaigns.  Each candidate is allowed
 to spend $80 million from the end of their convention through Nov. 2.

 Since Kerry had an extra 5 weeks to spread out the money, maybe he is just laying low,
 waiting to strike starting this Friday.  I so hope so, because there is no way that Kerry
 should be losing to that idiot W.  I could take that dipshit apart in a debate, and my
 political science experience ended with the bare minimum requirements of a physics
 degree from a 4-year university.  And I do have faith in Randi's assessment.
 I just hope we start seeing results sooner rather than later.

 And I don't see why you expected a deluge of hate mail today.
 You didn't say anything any more inflammatory than usual.

 on the major media outlets. They said he wasn't a viable candidate from day one (who needs a

 Howard Dean being mentally unstable when he showed an inner fire about his beliefs on T.V.
 (and told Big Media that he would cut their ties with RW Big Business). It wasn't you who
 dropped the exit poll numbers in 2002 because they didn't "jibe" with what RW Media wanted us to hear.

 I haven't given up on Kerry, I just can't imagine why he's screwing up so badly.
 Maybe he's got a "September-October strategy," but it's time to put that into action.

 Subject: We should have married Dean

 During the Democratic convention, one of the pundits remarked that the Democrats
 dated Dean but married Kerry.   I think it's becoming more and more clear that we should
 have stuck with our first love. Howard Dean wouldn't have had to put up with the Swift Boat lies,
 but the Republicans, led by Rove, would have come up with some false accusation to besmirch him.

 The difference being that Dean would have taken it right back at them and not pussyfoot around as
 Kerry has done. Dean was ridiculed for saying we were no safer after Saddam was caught. In retrospect
 he was right. Similarly he was berated for saying that the terrorist alert levels were being manipulated by
 the Bush administration for political reasons. The press, led by Faux News, screamed that he was just
 short of a traitor. Two days later it was revealed that the reason for elevating the alert was based on
 two year old intelligence. Howard I believed in you then and I believe in you now. Too bad the DNC did you in.

 We lost our best shot at kicking the evil idiot out of the White House when the Press led the gleeful
 lynching party to get rid of you. Maybe the American people really don't want to be treated with honesty.

 During my super-brief glance I only noticed their main, big-ass headlines:  yesterday's
 USA today was something along the line of "Bush's Will Still Strong", and today's main
 big-ass headline in the News Journal (which surely comes from AP or somewhere),
"Arnold: Bush Still Strong on Terror" or something...

 What the f***?  Is Rove just dictating newspaper headlines to AP now??
