Swift Boat Vet Got $40M Contract From Bush
Excerpt:
The Bush White House has denied any connection
to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth - the group that
has been airing factually unsupportable
smear ads against Sen. John Kerry's war record. But a new report
today shows that one of the key accusers
in the smear ads was a lobbyist for a company that recently
received a massive federal contract from
the Bush administration.
As the Washington Post reports, Rear Admiral
William L. Schachte Jr., the man who claims Kerry was
not under fire when he received his first
Purple Heart, is a top lobbyist for a defense contractor that
recently won a $40 million grant from the
Bush administration.

Traitor Zell Miller to Blow Bush at NaziCon2004
Exerpt:
"I ask which leader it is today that has the
vision, the willpower, and yes, the backbone to
best protect my family?" Miller, D-Ga.,
said in prepared excerpts from his keynote speech.
"The clear answer to that question has
placed me in this hall with you tonight. For my family
is more important than my party."
This comes from the same handjob who in
1992 said in a keynote speech at DemoCon1992
that Bush the Smarter "doesn't get it"
and that 12 years of a GOP White House "robbed us of our hope."

Subject: Head 'em off at the pass
Dear Bart
You are so right about Kerry not fighting
back and especially when it comes to his talking heads on TV.
We are watching him lose the election and
he seems to think that Americans care or understand about issues.
They do not, which is clear merely from
the fact that if they had any sense of issues, the Bush Boy would be
polling at about 3% right now. Kerry needs
to go right after personality and character - mock, distort and go for
the testes
At the very least, the Kerry surrogates
need to anticipate the lame recycled enRoNC talking points and respond
to them quickly, uniformly and viciously.
For example, if the Dem gets to go first , he or she should say
"dickbag over there is about to say that Kerry
flip-flopped on the 87 billion but guess what? Bush wanted to veto it
unless it was guaranteed that the 20 billion
in reconstruction would never be paid back ..." ... or ... "Enron Ed is
about
to claim that Move On attack ads are the
same as ads that are demonstrably false"
... head 'em off at the pass, they are predictable and repetitive, and goddamit get everyone to answer the same way
Keep telling the truth Bart!

First N.Y. Stop Will Be Firehouse
I hope they kick his ass for closing firehouses in NY
Excerpt:
Bush was to meet Wednesday night with firefighters
in Elmhurst, N.Y., about 10 miles
from the 9-11 attacks. Campaign liar Scott
Stanzel says conventioneers will be able to watch
as Bush talks with the firefighters.
The event with firefighters is aimed at
emphasizing the war on terrorism, a central theme of
Bush's race for re-election. And it is
designed to recall the day Bush visited Ground Zero three years ago
- without the president actually visiting
the attack site and inviting criticism that he was exploiting the tragedy.

Subject: Suggestion for not hammering Kerry
On your site just state what Bushco said/did,
point out why it's bs
and leave off the "Kerry's a pussy
and will lose if he doesn't respond".
Then send the response you think Kerry should
hit Bush with to Kerry's
campaign HQ and tell them he's going to
lose if he doesn't put up a fight.
e.g.. on the site 8/31 drive by news you had
>
Consumer Confidence Plummets in August
> Kerry
should be ahead by 20 points - but he's on vacation
Next time put something more like this
>
Consumer Confidence Plummets in August
> How much worse do things have to get
before people realize that Bush's tax cuts
> just put money in his rich friends
pockets and all us regular guys don't have jobs.
Then send a letter to Kerry HQ and say GET
YOUR ASS TO WORK MORON.
First, Kerry was on vacation
instead of fighting back.
Everyone knows this is a tight f-ing race,
and will probably be decided by a hair,
so why is Kerry acting like a kid on Spring
Break? Why isn't he working?
Second, I don't see this page being read
by "the public," so suggestions like
"How much worse do things have to get
before people realize..." don't seem
to apply because there are no fence sitters
reading this - just die hard Democrats
and a few dunderhead stalkers and a few
intelligent (but silent) conservatives.
I think your site is bigger than mine,
and you probably have more fence sitters.
Another thing. You hammer Monkeys
for misspelling, yet you almost always have spelling errors
or "spell check" errors (correctly spelled
but wrong word). No one's perfect. I know I'm not and
I don't expect you to be, but until you
are don't point it out in the monkeys' mail.
Enjoy the site,
Mike
Mike did you mean for your tone to sound like you are my boss?
That's twice you ordered me to
stop doing something, and I don't respond so well to orders unless
the barker has a gun and badge.
Let's assume you misspoke and we'll leave it at that.
For me, the rule has two prongs:
People who type are going
to make mistakes.
As far as I know, you publish once a week, and you
have more of the luxury of time.
I barely have time to read what I've written so
sacrifices have to be made
When you spell a word wrong
inside
a personal slur - you're fair game.
The guy who wrote, "Get
a life, you moran" is ripe for a pummelling, but if I write
a story and fail to catch a wrong word, such as
"Paris
in the the Spring," to me
that's just part of being human. Trust me,
I usually double-check my personal slurs :)
Thanks for the note.
Veteran
reporter and news analyst John Stanton's predictions for
a possible
second term of George W. Bush are "not only shocking,
but substantiated
by the facts on the ground. The future described here

only imminent; it may be a fait accompli. Both stimulating and irritating,
this collection
of essays paints a picture of a people, a country that lives
on myth
and illusion and is at war with itself and the rest of the world.
Stanton
explains how Bush has adroitly fused state, religious
(faith-based
government) and business interests into one
indistinguishable
tyrannical mass and his explanation of how
this has
been accomplished is eye-opening."

Kerry - a major staff shake-up?
Excerpt:
Democrats disappointed with Kerry's performance
since DemoCon2004 have
told him that high-level staff changes
were needed.
"Leading Democrats describe a command structure
often frozen.
As a result, the message often is muddled
and the reaction to hard-hitting attacks
from Republicans often is slow and unconvincing.
The response to the Swift Boat Liars
has been particularly ineffective,""
Moore laugh$ off McCain's insult
Excerpt:
"Thank you, John McCain," said Moore, who is
covering the convention for USA Today.
"The film's doing $120 million right now. When
McCain mentions it, I have a chance to do $150 million.
"I felt bad that McCain got set up by the Bush
people to comment on a film he hasn't seen," Moore told us.
"Anytime McCain wants a screening, I'd be happy
to do that because I think he'd like it."
Subject: Where are the real Republicans?
There seems to be two Republican parties
- the republican party that is in power - and the pretty face
that they are trotting out at the convention.
They are bringing out the liberal Republicans like John McCaim
and Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rudy Giuliani
who have no power and hiding the people who are really in charge.
The real Republicans are hidden away. We
don't see John Ashcroft speaking on Civil Liberties.
Where is Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson,
Allen Keyes, the Reverend Sun Mung Moon, and Pat Buchanan?
Where are the people behind the Republican
energy policy like Kenneth Lay or Prince Bandar?
Where is Donald Rumsfield and Paul Wolfowitz
to talk about why we should torture prisoners?
Where are the Neocons like Tom Delay and
Newt Gingrich?
These are the people who wrote the Republican
platform and shape Republican policy.
It looks to me like the Republicans are
trying to put lipstick on a pig, showing people what they think
they want to see rather than the way they
really are. Republicans don't think you'd vote for them if they
showed who was really in charge - and on
that point I agree with them.

And the move on concerts?

Subject: Kerry Vacationing And The Post-RNC Strategy
Hey Bart,
The reason Kerry is vacationing is that
is tradition that the other candidate
steps out of the limelight during his opponent's
convention.
Screw tradition.
That's the stupidest reason in the world to do or not do something.
Will history say America fell because John kerry wanted to follow
tradition?
W did the same thing in July: he went to
Crawford for the week.
HOWEVER, if you remember, Cheney was out
giving speeches during that week,
just as Edwards is doing this week.
I can't really explain why Kerry is windsurfing.
Maybe he likes to.
..
He looks super-stupid doing it, and VERY
unpresidential.
As for Kerry's strategy, I am hoping and
praying that they are laying low because
of the financial binds that are placed
on the campaigns. Each candidate is allowed
to spend $80 million from the end of their
convention through Nov. 2.
Since Kerry had an extra 5 weeks to spread
out the money, maybe he is just laying low,
waiting to strike starting this Friday.
I so hope so, because there is no way that Kerry
should be losing to that idiot W.
I could take that dipshit apart in a debate, and my
political science experience ended with
the bare minimum requirements of a physics
degree from a 4-year university.
And I do have faith in Randi's assessment.
I just hope we start seeing results sooner
rather than later.
And I don't see why you expected a deluge
of hate mail today.
You didn't say anything any more inflammatory
than usual.

He's going to be maybe 3-5 points down after shrubs speech, he'll tear Bush apart in the debates
That depends on if he accepts Baker's rules.
If he accepts the same rules Gore accepted,

Subject: Kerry was cherry-picked as our canadate by the RW media
Don't EVER quit telling the truth Bart.
It wasn't you who kept Big D from getting any airtime
on the major media outlets. They said he
wasn't a viable candidate from day one (who needs a
Department of Peace? Not the Military Industrial
Complex!). It wasn't you who screamed about
Howard Dean being mentally unstable when
he showed an inner fire about his beliefs on T.V.
(and told Big Media that he would cut their
ties with RW Big Business). It wasn't you who
dropped the exit poll numbers in 2002 because
they didn't "jibe" with what RW Media wanted us to hear.
No.
It was you everyday, for years now, telling
us the truth and going "HMMMM" about a skull & bones,
multi-millionaire, ivy leaguer being cherry-picked
as "our" next Democratic National Candidate for
President in 2004. It was you who thought
it odd and let us know that the fix might be in, again.
Keep hammering away Bart,

I haven't given up on Kerry, I just can't imagine why he's screwing

Maybe he's got a "September-October strategy," but it's time

Subject: We should have married Dean
During the Democratic convention, one of
the pundits remarked that the Democrats
dated Dean but married Kerry.
I think it's becoming more and more clear that we should
have stuck with our first love. Howard
Dean wouldn't have had to put up with the Swift Boat lies,
but the Republicans, led by Rove, would
have come up with some false accusation to besmirch him.
The difference being that Dean would have
taken it right back at them and not pussyfoot around as
Kerry has done. Dean was ridiculed for
saying we were no safer after Saddam was caught. In retrospect
he was right. Similarly he was berated
for saying that the terrorist alert levels were being manipulated by
the Bush administration for political reasons.
The press, led by Faux News, screamed that he was just
short of a traitor. Two days later it was
revealed that the reason for elevating the alert was based on
two year old intelligence. Howard I believed
in you then and I believe in you now. Too bad the DNC did you in.
We lost our best shot at kicking the evil
idiot out of the White House when the Press led the gleeful
lynching party to get rid of you. Maybe
the American people really don't want to be treated with honesty.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention to you
a disturbing trend - well maybe it isn't a "trend"
at all since it's only been 2 days long,
but - I happened to glance at the front page of
USA Today yesterday, and at today's main
Delaware newspaper (the News Journal).
During my super-brief glance I only noticed
their main, big-ass headlines: yesterday's
USA today was something along the line
of "Bush's Will Still Strong", and today's main
big-ass headline in the News Journal (which
surely comes from AP or somewhere),
"Arnold: Bush Still Strong on Terror" or something...
What the f***? Is Rove just dictating
newspaper headlines to AP now??
Are they headlines or just the party line?
