"US Colonel Michael Formica said a security cordon
around the city would be tightened so that insurgents
dressed in civilian clothing would be unable
to leave. "My concern now is only one - not to allow any enemy
to escape," he told the AP. "As we tighten
the noose around the insurgents, they will move to escape to fight
another day. I do not want these guys to
get out of here. I want them killed or captured as they flee."
Sami al-Jumaili, a doctor at the hospital
who escaped arrest when it was taken by US troops, said the city
was running out of medical supplies and
only a few clinics remained open. There is not a single surgeon in Falluja.
We had one ambulance hit by US fire and
a doctor wounded," he told Reuters. "There are scores of injured
civilians in their homes whom we can't
move. A 13-year-old child just died in my hands."

Subject: close borders

Bart, you were looking for that prior mention
of Bush closing the borders
to keep draft age people from escaping

Dodging the draft will be more difficult
than those from the Vietnam era.
College and Canada will not be options.
In December 2001, Canada and the U.S.
signed a "smart border declaration,"
which could be used to keep would-be
draft dodgers in. This plan, among other things,
eliminates higher education as a shelter
and includes women in the draft.

First, he lost the Catholic vote.
At 65 mil, they are 27% of the vote. Kerry got only 47% to Bush's 52%.
Second, he almost lost the Hispanic
vote 52 to 47%. Gore had received a massive 69%
Third, Bush did 5 points better
with women than he did with Gore
Fourth, the ballyhooed youth vote
(18-29) was much weaker than hoped
Fifth, the gay community blindsided
him
Sixth, he ignored fervent advice
to attack Bush - mostly from bartcop.com
If Kerry had chosen to campaign, he might've won those five groups.

"I think a case could be made that ignorance
played at least as big a role in the election's outcome as values.
A survey by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland found that 70 percent
of Bush's supporters believe the U.S. has
"clear evidence" that Saddam was working closely with Al Qaeda.
A third of the president's supporters believe
WMDs were found in Iraq. And more than a third believe that a
substantial majority of world opinion supported
Bush's invasion. This is scary. How do you make a rational
political pitch to people who have put
that part of their brain on hold? No wonder Bush won."

four are hard-wired into the Bush power structure, the Bush crime family...
The four companies are interconnected;

Evidence
of a Second Bush Coup?
by Robert Parry (D-On Fire) at consortiumnews.com

Excerpt:
...the most perplexing fact is that exit
polls into the evening of Nov. 2 showed Kerry rolling to a
clear victory nationally and carrying most
of the battleground states, including Florida and Ohio,
whose totals would have ensured Kerry's
victory in the Electoral College.
Significantly, polls also showed Republicans
carrying the bulk of the tight Senate races. However,
when the official results were tallied,
the presidential exit polls proved wrong while the Senate polls proved
right.
Explanations from the architects of the
exit-poll sampling system also sound specious. Their report said
Kerry voters were simply more willing than
Bush voters to answer the exit pollsters' questions. But this
"chattiness thesis" seems more like a post-facto
excuse than a serious argument.
Another explanation from some pundits was
that the exit polls were adjusted by late in the day to rectify
pro-Kerry exaggerations from the earlier
samples. But that is not what happened. As the New York Times
reported, "The presumption of a Kerry victory
built a head of steam late in the day, when the national survey
showed the senator with a statistically
significant lead, one falling outside the survey's margin of error."

Paul Wellstone Murdered?

Excerpt:
Paul Wellstone was the only progressive
in the U.S. Senate. Mother Jones magazine once described him as,
"The first 1960s radical elected to the U.S.
senate." He was also the last. Since defeating incumbent Republican
Rudy Boschowitz 12 years ago in a grassroots
upset, Wellstone emerged as the strongest, most persistent,
most articulate and most vocal Senate opponent
of the Bush administration.
In a senate that is one heartbeat away from
Republican control, Wellstone was more than just another Democrat.
He was often the lone voice standing firm
against the status-quo policies of both the Democrats and the Republicans.
As such, he earned the special ire of the
Bush administration and the Republican Party, who made Wellstone's defeat
that party's number one priority this year.

Anyone familiar with Grover Norquist's
"bathtub" line knows that the right wants Americans to expect less
of their government, in the way of services
and legal protections. The right wants Americans to take the Brazilian
attitude toward their government. It is
our responsibility now to fight that attitude. The Republicans have at
least
two years to do their damage to the government
with minimal opposition, but we cannot let them do their damage
to our psyches. However bad you may feel
right now, I feel worse, because I'm surrounded by Brazilians who
think it's really funny that I had anything
at all invested in the election. Everyone else has said it already, and
said it
better, so read Bartcop, read Atrios, read
whatever web site you want, but listen to what everyone has already
said about staying focused and not feeling
sorry for yourselves. We do not want to end up like the Brazilians.

In Baker County, for example, with 12,887
registered voters, 69.3% of them Democrats and 24.3%
of them Republicans, the vote was only
2,180 for Kerry and 7,738 for Bush, the opposite of what is
seen everywhere else in the country where
registered Democrats largely voted for Kerry.
In Dixie County, with 9,676 registered voters,
77.5% of them Democrats and a mere 15% registered
as Republicans, only 1,959 people voted
for Kerry, but 4,433 voted for Bush.
The pattern repeats over and over again
- but only in the counties where optical scanners were used.
Franklin County, 77.3% registered Democrats,
went 58.5% for Bush. Holmes County, 72.7%
registered Democrats, went 77.25% for Bush.

Anti-Bush
Party in DC on Inauguration day?
Last night on AAR, Janeanne Garafolo suggested we welcome the
next Bush Reich
with a "tear gas and fire hose" reception on January 20th of next year.
If anyone plans on going, I would like to sponsor your sign(s).
I will trade you money for signs, paint, etc for some digital
pictures.
If we buy in bulk, we can get signs cheap, right?
I'm not talking about one sign or two signs, depending on costs,
I'd like to see a sea of signs.
So if you're going to DC to protest that bastard, click below and we'll see what can be worked out.
First thing we'll need is some local DC ground people to be anchors.
Once we have them, we'll check into the costs of, say, 20-40
signs.
Then anyone wanting to protest can meet up with our anchor and
get an anti-Bush sign to carry.
I'll even pay for some hot chocolate afterwards, because it can
get chilly in DC in January.
If someone would like to donate to the protest fund, Click
Here and put "protest" in the subject line.
If you'd like to help via mail: bartcop.com PO Box 54466

With a bigger budget, we can build bigger, better signs with eye-catchingcolors.
With enough big, fancy signs, one might be photographed for a
national/worldwide publication.
Let's show the world that not all Americans are fascist, warmongering
sons of bitches.
Would you make a good anchor?

We have 71 days to prepare, but it all starts with some DC anchors.
...unless you think we should bow down and worship this Giggling

Update
We have a lot of volunteers and almost $100 in build-a-sign
donations, mostly thanks to Diane E.
Wouldn't it be cool is we had 60 signs in the streets of DC
on Bush Re-Installation Day?
Subject: Media blames
bloggers
The Republican controlled news media is
blaming bloggers for reporting early that Kerry had won the election.
As a blogger I find that amusing because
we got our information from pollsters like John Zogby of the Zogby poll
who announced the day before the election
that Kerry was going to win by a landslide. We also got our information
from the real results of the exit polls
that showed Kerry winning by a landslide. Were bloggers like me wrong about
what we reported? No - we weren't.
The real story now is that with electronic
voting on voting machines that are easily hacked, and in states like Ohio
where the Secretary of State who counts
the votes was also the state chairman for the Bush campaign, that the system
is so riddled with fraud that we don't
know who really won the election. The real story is that in areas with
voting
machines that are easily tampered with
that the supposed error in the exit polls are far greater than areas with
paper
ballots and the error was all in favor
of Bush. But if you want the details of those stories - you won't find
that in the
mainstream press. You have to get online
and read the blogs.

Sure, the Monkey right will scream, "Sore loser," but if more
votes were

Evangelical pharmacists call birth control "silent abortions"

Excerpt:
Julee Lacey, mother of two, went to her
local CVS drugstore for a last-minute Pill refill. She had been getting
her
prescription filled there for a year, so
she was astonished when the pharmacist told her, "I personally don't believe
in birth control and therefore I'm not
going to fill your prescription." Lacey was shocked. "The pharmacist had
no idea
why I was even taking the Pill. I might
have needed it for a medical condition."
Melissa Kelley, 35, was just as stunned
when her gynecologist told her she would not renew her prescription.
"She told me she couldn't in good faith prescribe
the Pill anymore," says Kelley. Then the gynecologist told Kelley
she wouldn't be able to get a new prescription
from her family doctor, either. "She said my primary care physician
was the one who helped her make the decision."
Lacey's pharmacist and Kelley's doctors are among hundreds,
perhaps thousands, of physicians and pharmacists
who now adhere to a controversial belief that birth control pills
and other forms of hormonal contraception--including
the skin patch, the vaginal ring, and progesterone injections
--cause tens of thousands of "silent" abortions
every year. Consequently, they are refusing to prescribe or dispense them.
Way to go, America.
Bush is taking is back to the fifties - before we had The Pill.
This way, when your wife or daughter gets pregnant, you can pay
for her abortion like Bob Barr did.

"To believe that Bush won the election, you must also believe:

were wrong (he was exactly right in his

(he was exactly right in his 2000 final

- was wrong; That the 50% rule - an incumbent
doesn't do better than his final polling - was wrong; That the
approval rating rule - an incumbent with
less than 50% approval will most likely lose the election - was wrong;
that it was just a coincidence that the
exit polls were correct where there was a paper trail and incorrect
(+5% for Bush) where there was no paper
trail; that the surge in new young voters had no positive effect
for Kerry; that Kerry did worse than Gore
against an opponent who lost the support of scores of Republican
newspapers who were for Bush in 2000; that
voting machines made by Republicans with no paper trail and
with no software publication, which have
been proven by thousands of computer scientists to be vulnerable
in scores of ways, were not tampered with

the Makings of a War Crime
Bush's American
soldier body count in Iraq
1124, 1128, 1132,
1137, dead American soldiers.
They got 5
more since yesterday.
As we storm Fallujah, we'll lose how many more?
And once we take Fallujah - then what?
We're happy and we can all go home?

Subject: I just don't get
it
I'm not a lawyer and I have zero legal training.
But as I read the First Amendment, it says, plain as day,
government shall make no law pertaining
to religion. This is in the revolutionary tradition of the time of its
writing,
immigrants to America were escaping religious
persecution and wanted the USA to be a secular republic,
with separation of church and state.
And the abortion/homosexuality thing is
clearly a religious value. It's awful that they get to take away the most
basic
of American freedoms, the first amendment,
where Government doesn't get to tell you to believe certain religious
values but not others. The Puritans have
taken over, if this continues, next they'll be burning books.

Subject: military votes
You've finally admitted it. You said
that Democrats tried to object to military votes.
It would be illogical to deny the facts,
which are:
Once the GOP saw Florida was deadlocked,
they asked all military personnel to
send in both ballots. For reasons
I don't understand, they said each soldier got 2 ballots.
These ballots continued to come in all
during the month of November and some in December
and the GOP wanted these ballots counted,
which hardly seemed fair.
This attempted blocking of votes was the
ONLY, and I stress ONLY blocking of votes going on in 2000.
All those lies about black people being
prevented from voting were just that...lies. Fantasies.
You're saying the Supreme Court did NOT
order the counting to be stopped?
In your world, did they even get involved?
Where were the pictures? The video?
The testimonies?
The Supreme Court doesn't allow pictures
or video
The testimonies are the words that came
from Ted Olson and David Boyes.
In your dimension, do they exist?
It wasn't Republicans trying to prevent
people from voting, it was Democrats.
LBJ taught Dems how to do it in Texas,
Joe Kennedy did it again in Illinois, and Gore tried to do it in Florida
in 2000.
Right - the gelding Democrats prevented
the wealthy white people from voting - right.
Let me explain a simple fact to you, Sheep.
(You'll no doubt address me as "Monkey", so I'm just being preemptive.)
ha ha
'Preemptive' is such a big word for a Monkey
Mail traveling to and from forward deployed
units overseas is slow. And I'm talking weeks.
A letter mailed from a deployed ship may
take up to three weeks to reach it's receipient.
The sheer volume of mail and the operations
tempo may even cause some letters not to be postmarked.
So you can whine, cry, bitch and moan about
"illegal" military ballots to the point of an aneurism.
Monkey, I didn't write the law that said "All
ballots must be received no later than election day."
That law was on the books before I was
born, so blow me.
But you and your friends will NOT deny us
the right to vote because we're smart enough not to vote democrat.
Ain't gonna happen.
Brandt
But Brandt, "you guys" were smart enough to vote to stay in
Iraq (which we invaded for no reason) until further notice.
You call that victory?
