White
House Scrambles to explain their Fake Reporter
Excerpt:
New evidence contradicts the Bush Administration's
claims about "Jeff Gannon."
He was granted daily access to White House press
briefings for more than two years as a "reporter" for Talon News.
Scott McClellan stated that Guckert (his real
name) was granted access in part because he was affiliated
with a news organization that "publishes regularly." But
yesterday, bloggers discovered video footage
suggesting this standard was not applied to Guckert.
Video footage of a Feb. 28, 2003 White House press briefing
shows Guckert, apparently unaffiliated with
any news organization, asking forked-tongue Fleischer a question.
It is unclear why Guckert was granted any pass
at this time, since the Internet-based Talon News did not register
its domain name until March 29, 2003.
Maureen Dowd reported she was denied press credentials
at the start of the Bush administration in 2001.
Yet Guckert, whose only journalistic training was
derived from a $50 weekend seminar, was repeatedly granted access.
So why did this crooked administration grant
access to the fake, gay prostitute and deny the New York Times?
Could it be because crooks, by definition, have something to hide?
Will the journstic community take this outrage and say, "Thanl you, may
we have another?"
Or will they begin to apply the same scrutiny to Bush's murders and Clinton's
sexual dalliances?

Iraqi Prisoner Died while being Tortured
Excerpt:
An Iraqi whose corpse was photographed with
grinning U.S. soldiers at Abu Ghraib
died under CIA interrogation while in a position
condemned by human rights groups
as torture ÷ suspended by his wrists, with
his hands cuffed behind his back.
The death of the prisoner, Manadel al-Jamadi,
became known last year when the Abu Ghraib
prison scandal broke. The U.S. military said back
then that the death had been ruled a homicide.
But the exact circumstances under which the man
died were not disclosed at the time.
Al-Jamadi was one of the CIA's "ghost" detainees ÷ prisoners
being held secretly by the agency.
One Army guard, Sgt. Jeffery Frost, said the
prisoner's arms were stretched behind him in a way
he had never before seen. Frost told investigators
he was surprised al-Jamadi's arms "didn't pop out
of their sockets," according to a summary of his
interview. Frost and other guards had been summoned
to reposition al-Jamadi, who an interrogator said
was not cooperating. The interrogator told guards that
al-Jamadi was "playing possum" ÷ then they
realized he was dead. As the guards released the shackles
and lowered al-Jamadi, blood gushed from his mouth "as
if a faucet had been turned on,"
C'mon, everybody sing:"...And
I'm proud to be an American, where we torture kids to death."
Think about it - a foreign military invades
your country because its leader is a greedy bastard..
The foreign military takes you prisoner, but deny
to the world that they have you.
Navy SEALs punch, kick and strike you with their
rifles before handing you over to the CIA.
They cuff your hands behind your back and lift
you off the ground by your wrists.
They beat you until your ribs break, then demand
answers you may or may not have.
Eventually, God takes pity on you (if you believe
in that kind of thing) and lets you die.
Then the invaders pose with your dead ass for
the amusement of those who couldn't join the fun.
.. ..
C'mon, everybody sing:"...And
I'm proud to be an American, where we torture kids to death."

Four Blasts
Kill at Least 29 in Saigon Baghdad
Things are better after the fake election, just like Bush promised
Excerpt:
Four explosions ripped through Baghdad on Friday,
killing at least 29 people and injuring dozens.
It was the deadliest day since Bush's sham elections
without names on the ballot last month.
Suicide bombers attacked two Shiite mosques
after Friday prayers ended, another explosion
occurred near a Shiite religious procession and
a third suicide bomber detonated himself at an
Iraqi police and National Guard checkpoint in a
Sunni neighborhood.
There were no immediate claims of responsibility,
but Iraqis blamed radical Sunni Muslim insurgents,
who have staged car bombs, shooting attacks and
kidnappings in efforts to destabilize Iraq's
reconstruction and provoke a sectarian civil war
between Shiites and Sunnis.
Bush lied to get America involved in a 4,000 year old civil war between
two suicide groups.
And according to Bush, Kerry and the networks, America wanted four more
years of this?
That's just so hard to believe.
Why would military families want four more years of suicide attacks
on their loved ones
so the evil Bush empire can steal Ieaq's oil and then borrow trillions from
the Ch-Comms
to give billions to the already super-rich so your kids can pay
them, back?
That's just so hard to believe, but Bush, Kerry and the networks
said that's what we asked for...

Our Friends,
the Torturers

Excerpt:
The United States has long purported to be
outraged over Syria's bad behavior, the latest flash point
being the possible Syrian involvement in the assassination
of the former Lebanese prime minister, Rafik Hariri.
From the U.S. perspective, Syria is led by a
gangster regime that has, among other things, sponsored terrorism,
aided the insurgency in Iraq and engaged in torture.
So here's the question. If Syria is such a bad actor - and it is
- why would the Bush administration seize a Canadian
citizen at Kennedy Airport in New York, put him on an
executive jet, fly him in shackles to the Middle
East and then hand him over to the Syrians, who promptly tortured him?
The administration is trying to have it both
ways in its so-called war on terror. It claims to be fighting for freedom,
democracy and the rule of law, and it condemns
barbaric behavior whenever it is committed by someone else.
At the same time, it is engaged in its own barbaric
behavior, while going out of its way to keep that behavior
concealed from the American public and the world
at large.?
Didn't Bush claim one reason we invaded Iraq was to stop the torture
and the rape rooms?
But now Americans (and our allies) are doing the torturing and the raping.
Are we torturing and raping with more compassion than Saddam did?
And would the kid we tortured to death, Manadel
al-Jamadi, know the difference?

Everyone remembers the picture, but few remember
the men. Here are the stories of those men...
Corporal Harlon Block was killed when a mortar
round disemboweled him later in the battle.
Navy Corpsman John H. Bradley was wounded in
both legs and won the Navy Cross for heroism.
He survived the war and died in 1994.
PFC Louis C. Charlo, was a Flathead Indian who
enlisted in the Marines in 1943 at the age of 17.
He was killed by a Japanese sniper on March 2,
1945.
PFC Rene A. Gagnon survived the war and died
of a heart attack in 1979.
Sergeant Harry 0. Hansen was wounded on February
26 and evacuated from Iwo Jima.
He later landed on Tinian and was wounded a second
time.
Corporal Ira H. Hayes was a Pima Indian survived
the war. He had many problems after the war
and turned to drink and his life deteriorated quickly.
He died drunk in a ditch of exposure. His life was
immortalized in a movie and songs by Johnny Cash
and Bob Dylan.
Corporal Charles W. Lindberg won the Silver
Star for heroism in action on Iwo Jima and was
wounded February 29, but survived the war.
2nd Lieutenant Harold Schrier was killed later
in the battle for Iwo Jima.
PFC James R. Michels was a Flathead Indian who
is reported to have been wounded in action on Iwo Jima.
Sergeant Ernest "Boots" I. Thomas, Jr., who
enlisted 6 months after Pearl Harbor and won the Navy Cross,
was killed March 3, 1945 on Iwo Jima.
Sergeant Mike Strank was killed on March 1,
1945, possibly by "friendly fire" from a destroyer.
PFC Franklin Sousley enlisted in 1943 at the
age of 17 in late March, 1945 by a Japanese sniper.
The man who took the picture of the second and
most famous flag raising, AP Photographer Joe Rosenthal,
was unable to serve because of his poor vision.
He survived the war and spent a great deal of time after the war
fighting the Marine Corps and the government fending
off accusations that his photo was a fake.
A movie of the event was shot by Staff Sergeant
William H. Genault. In 1944 on Saipan, Genault was wounded
in action against the enemy and won a Bronze Star
for bravery. He was shot and killed nine days later on Hill 362A.
The first flag raising was photographed by Staff
Sergeant Louis R. Lowery.

"Bush named John Negroponte as the new Director
of Intelligence for the United States.
You may remember him best as one of the key
figures in the Iran-Contra scandal during
the Reagan administration. John Negroponte
was the ambassador to Honduras from 1981
to 1985. While there, he was directed the secret
arming of the Contra rebels in Nicaragua
to help them overthrow the Sandinista government.
At the time, he also was "cozy" with the
chief of the Honduran national police force,
Gen. Gustavo Alvarez Martinez. Martinez ran
the infamous Battalion 316 death squad. Battalion
316 "kidnapped, tortured and murdered"
dozens of people while Negroponte was ambassador.
Negroponte, however, turned a blind eye
to the death squad and ignored the gross human
rights abuses so Honduras would allow bases
for U.S.-backed Contras. Negroponte maintained
he knew nothing about them, leading to his
nickname, "the ostrich ambassador." The
abuses, however, were widely chronicled in local papers.
That means he either willfully ignored the
mass murders and torturing of citizens or he was so
out of touch that he didn't see the atrocities
going on beneath his very nose. Neither of these
scenarios is what the United States needs in
a National Director of Intelligence."
--Christy, Attribution
Negroponte is a capo in the BFEE - a top lieutenant in the
most evil crime cartel on Earth.
He was made Ambassador to Iraq so, when Bush named him as Dir of Intel,
he wouldn't be
"Negroponte the Iran-Contra felon," he'd
be "Negroponte the Ambassador."
...and the hook, line and sinker American press fell for it all the way.
What would it take to bring honesty back to American journalism?

To: Scott McClellan
Subject: Planting a seed
Dear Mr. McClellan:
I am writing you in regard to the now-vacant
position of White House press corps plant.
It is my understanding that your previous press
corps plant, James D. Guckert - to whom you issued
White House press credentials under the name Jeff
Gannon - is no longer with the administration.
I realize, of course, that because of the flap
over the administration's policy of having conservative
columnists on the payroll, it may not be politically
feasible to fill Mr. Guckert's position right away.
However, when you do begin hiring again, I hope
you will consider me.
If my name seems at all familiar, it is probably
because I have written to you in the past hoping to secure
a contract writing pro-administration columns.
As a point of reference, I am the one who offered to push
your agenda at the rate of $500 per column, or
three for $1,399, which I still believe represents an
excellent value in today's marketplace.
In regard to the position of press-corps plant,
I do not pretend to have the strong conservative affiliation
that Mr. Guckert enjoyed with TalonNews.com. Although
my newspaper has editorially endorsed President
Bush for re-election, it is otherwise a mainstream
media operation, and not linked to the Texas Republican Party.
Despite this obvious hole in my resume, I still
believe I would be an excellent replacement for Mr. Guckert,
who I feel is one of the great press corps plants
of all time. Certainly the question he asked at President Bush's
press conference about the president's pledge to
reach out to Democrats - "How are you going to work with
people who seem to have divorced themselves from
reality?" - was nothing short of brilliant.
Thank you for your time, sir, and I will be
waiting to hear from you.
Kevin
P.S. The three columns for $1,399 offer is still
good while supplies last.

The Daily
Show
Two things happened on Wednesday's The
Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
1. They mentioned my good friend Atrios in
a skit - I thought that was cool.
2. They talked about Brent Bozell and his nasty
watchdog group. If you go to mediaresearch.org
they have short clips of the
nastiest stuff on TV in the last week (but I didn't find it). Jon made a joke
that if you missed any raunchy
porn during the week, you can still catch it on this "Christian" web site.
But you know what I'll bet you won't see
on Bozell's web site? Clips from FOX's Point Pleasant.
Point Pleasant has been
described as "90210 meets The Omen," and
that's a pretty good description,
because at Point Pleasant, The
Devil's right-hand man, played by Grant Show, has moved to town
and he causes the people in this sleepy little Jersey town to have sex
with each other against their will.
The pretty girl who told the nerd, "No way,
so don't even ask, Asshole" bedded him later that night.
I suppose this is rape, but the victims seem to think it was their own
inner lust that caused things to happen.
Later, at a dinner party, a married couple did it on the back porch while
others were just feet away.
Funny how Brent Bozell doesn't mind The Devil having women raped on Point
Pleasant, but you see,
this show's on FOX and FOX is in bed with everything the evil Bush Monster
does, so FOX gets a pass.
Devil rape is OK with these jaggoffs, but seeing Janet's nipple is
a dangerous outrage?
Is this not further proof that these religiously-insane nuts are simply
whores, themselves?
They're not out to clean up the airwaves for the children, as they claim.
They're out to make a buck from the religiously insane and they're getting
rich doing it.
If they were really trying to clean up TV for families, FOX would
be right at the top of their list.
But they're just whores out for a buck, and they steal it from the stupidest
of the stupid.

Excerpt:
Inserting an agent directly into the White
House press corps was a daring operation. Until his exposure,
he proved useful for the White House. But the longer-term
implication is the Republican effort to sideline
an independent press and undermine its legitimacy. "Spin" seems
quaint. "In this day and age," said McClellan,
waxing philosophical about the Gannon affair, "when
you have a changing media, it's not an easy issue to decide
or try to pick and choose who is a journalist." It
is not that the White House press secretary cannot distinguish who
is or is not a journalist; it is that there are
no journalists, just the gaming of the system for the concentration of power.
As always, McClellan is lying. He says he can't pick and choose
who's a journalist, but when you credential
a gay hooker and deny a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist from the NYWhore
Times, you're doing just that.
Scotty, does Bush invite you to his gay hooker weekend getaways?

later that day that Corum understood why she seemed
disengaged. The publisher's first official act related to the
newsroom was calling up the editor and ordering
him to scrap Corum's column. The editor, Hal Hatfield, refused,
and resigned in protest. The publisher, Sandy Selvy,
didn't try to change his mind. Corum calls it all a slap in the face
of the First Amendment, and says his left-leaning
views are being censored. Hatfield thinks the publisher's move
is a nod to conservative advertising and business
interests. But Selvy denies that either is the case.
She says the paper doesn't have enough local content,
and that 'no one cares about what Mike thinks
about Bush and what's going on in the war.'"
At least they were honest enough to admit that they don't want the
truth in the newspaper
because the wealthy busniess types would rather sell lies than the ugly,
bloody truth.
