paid Delay's wife & daughter $500K
I'm no lawyer, but that's gotta be illegal, right?
Excerpt:
The
wife and daughter of Tom DeLay (R-Squirrely Bastard) were paid $500,000 since
2001
by DeLay's political action and
campaign committees, according to statements filed with the
Federal Election Commission and records in Texas.
Most of the payments to
his wife, Christine and his only child, Dani, were described in the
disclosure forms as "fund-raising
fees," "campaign management" or "payroll," with no additional
details about how they earned
the money. The payments appear to reflect what Mr. DeLay's aides
say is the central role played
by the majority leader's wife and daughter in his political career.
Was Delay using his daughter as a hooker?
I remember a
story about men paying money to "hot tub" with Delay's daughter.
Exactly how did Dani Delay "earn" that $500,000?

Monkey's
approval lowest ever for a 2-termer at this point
Excerpt:
All
other presidents who served a second term had approval ratings well
above 50%
in the March following their election, Gallup reported. Truman and
Johnson had finished out
the terms of their predecessors, and then won election on their own for
a second term.
Bush's current rating is 45%. The next lowest was Red-Ink Reagan with
56% in March 1985.
More bad signs for the president: Gallup's survey now finds only 38% expressing
satisfaction
with the "state of the country" while 59% are "dissatisfied." One
in three Americans feel the
economy is excellent or good, while the rest find it "only fair" or poor.
Gallup noted that more challenges lie ahead for Bush, including public
doubts about his
Social Security plan and Iraq policies.

According to Cornyn, who will
not reveal the lady's name, the date seemed auspicious
from the start. Picking up his
date promptly at 7 p.m. Saturday night, Cornyn sailed right
into his first bit of dilly-dally.
"She looked spectacular," chuckled Cornyn, "so
I told her, 'you look spectacular!'"
He continued, "then I told her
the dress she was wearing was sexy - so sexy she'd have to
tread carefully at night, if she's
alone, see, because someone with her curvaceous figure
-- in such a skimpy outfit --
could easily find herself being gang-raped in a dumpster.

Tom Delay
should not re re-elected
by the Texas A&M Battalion newspaper
Excerpt:
Polls following the 2004 election
showed that a great deal of President Bush's victory can be
attributed to the public siding
with him on the basis of ethics. Christian Science Monitor called
the recent presidential election, "The
most religiously-charged election in decades." Evidently,
Americans are passionately concerned
with morality. A politician, whose character is deemed
questionable, should lose an election
to a more upstanding citizen. Ironically, Tom DeLay
violated several House rules and
was found guilty by the House Ethics Committee prior to
being re-elected. Sadly, the story
doesn't end there. These three violations can hardly hold a
candle to the cloud of unscrupulous
muck that has been floating around DeLay and Washington D.C.
Voters should not re-elect the
majority leader, to prove that Americans require ethical representation.

S. Thompson's ashes will be blasted from a cannon mounted inside a 53-foot-high

The cannon shot, planned sometime

Anita Thompson said. "I'd

BFEE
Please
start using the phrase," The Republican Administration" instead of Bush,
BFEE or Bush Administration
when talking about negative
thing Bush does. Bush won’t run for office again so we need to make
the association
of any negative things with
the republicans. Put a sign in front of your eyes till it becomes a habit.
If you must give him credit
for anything then use his name so positive things don’t get associated
with his party.
Jim
Jim, you seem to think we'll be rid of the BFEE in three years.
They're not going anywhere until all the
oil and all the money have been stolen.
They're stealing $100,000,00
a day, according
to Wolfowitz, and that just whets their appetite.
They'll install a BFEE boy if the Democrats refuse to speak up for the
third election in a row.

Why
the media can't read the bankruptcy bill
Excerpt:
The
most remarkable thing about the bankruptcy bill (which has now been postponed
in the House
until next week) is something that the corporate media is incapable of
reporting on and probably in
some cases incapable of even recognizing. Namely,
this bill offers an ideal test for the Democrats.
Most
bills contain some redeeming features, some elements that are good for people,
not just good
for corporate profits. With most bills, a case
can be made, however contorted and unconvincing,
that it's actually worth voting for, or that it's better than some even
worse alternative. Those arguments
are almost impossible here, because several dozen amendments aimed at making
the bill into something
less than an outright atrocity have been voted down. In
addition, the Democrats on the House Judiciary
have laid out for their colleagues the case against this bill in a 54-page
dissent that was leaked to Raw Story:
This
bill allows us to answer the question: "What if there were a bill that served
purely and clearly
corporate greed while damaging millions of non-wealthy Americans, would
the Democratic Party
stand against it? Would the Democratic leadership
fight it? Would all members of this purportedly
distinct political party vote for people over profits?"
In the Senate, the answer is clearly
no. In the House, things are uncertain, but we have
at least
until next week to let our congress members know how we feel, which can
be done by Email
at www.debtslavery.org or by
phone at 877-SOB-USOB.
Reminder: The
banks say they have to get 30 percent on charge cards because "so many debts
go unpaid."
Now that the government will force people
to pay debts at gunpoint, will those rates come down?
Not on your f-ing life.
The credit card bastards can't get by
on hundreds of
millions in profits - they want it
all, like greedy oil men.

May Be Holding Iraqi Women Hostage
Excerpt:
The
US military in Baghdad confirmed on Wednesday it was holding two Iraqi women
and was investigating
accusations that they were being held hostage to pressure their fugitive
male relatives to surrender.
A spokesman
said the women were detained as insurgent suspects, not hostages.
The latter would be a breach
of international law, human rights experts say; it could, however, be legitimate
to hold relatives as suspects in their own right.
"The US
army and Iraqi police did detain two females suspected of collaboration
with anti-Iraqi forces," Major Donn Latimer
of the 3rd Infantry Division told Reuters, using a term employed by US
troops to describe guerrilla insurgents.
"Evidence
was found at the residence that indicates clear knowledge of an intent
to harm coalition forces," Latimer said.
"Currently
their disposition is under review."
The
women's names were not available but details of their detention
indicated they were relatives of Arkan Mukhlif al-Batawi,
who has accused US troops
of taking his mother and sister hostage after raiding the family home on
Saturday.

Alba won't bare all as stripper in "Sin City"

"I felt like dancing
around with the lasso and chaps was going to be sexy enough.
Being nude, for me, would have been distracting, and I couldn't even conceive
of
being bottomless: My dad would disown me or something — he'd freak
out."
Alba, the
heroine of the TV series "Dark Angel," stars in the film with Rosario
Dawson,
Carla Gugino, Jaime King and Brittany Murphy.
All show up in various stages of undress.
Carla Gugino was so naked I didn't recognize her. I think Rosario
Dawson was naked in
every scene she was in. Jamie (James) King played the dead hooker
with perfect hooters,
so I guess it fit the script that she was naked a lot and Brittany Murphy
was the cocktail
waitress in a nudie bar - but she stayed mostly clothed.
You will not believe what our little Frodo Baggins turns into in this
film,
and I saw a whole lot more Mickey Rourke than I thought I'd ever see.
I didn't know what to think coming out of the theater.

Subject: The "N" word
I can accept the use of the "N" word when it's used in a historical context --a movie about slavery for example. I don't like it when it's used in a comedy routine or a rap song. That's why I can't watch Dave Chappelle--as funny as he is. And he can be funny without the use of the N word. (I've even written him about this.)
Even Richard Pryor noted that, after a trip to Africa, he realized that he didn't have to use that word. I don't agree with blacks who say that, by using it ourselves, we reduce its effect. Heck, if that were the case, it would produce nothing but laughter by now if any white person said it our presence. But we know that's not the case. Pity the poor white hip person who is comfortable repeating the lyrics from a rap song or calling his black friend that word and who lets it slip out in public. That happened at the mall once and I thought the blacks around the young man who used the word were going to kill him.
We can make our liberal points without the use of that word. Please try. Thanks. Robin in VA
Robin, your point is certainly valid, even if I disagree.
Nobody can define what's inappropriate to you but you.
Personally, I think "cuts
in veteran's health care benefits" is uglier, but that's just an opinion.
Are you old enough to remember when Archie Bunker used phrases like, "jungle
bunny?"
Do you credit Archie, Pryor and Rock with breaking down racial barriers? I
do.
When Pryor did his "You
ain't sitting here now, are you?" routine, I thought I'd die laughing.
By doing that, I think he gave a lot of people their first "feel" inside
another man's shoes.
More than you, I know how white people speak when there are no African
Americans in the room.
I wonder how many times J.C. Watts walked into a room of Republicans and
heard them suddenly be silent.
I'll bet he had to do a lot of forgiving because conservatives are racist
pigs who use that word with venom.
I believe that venom is the glue that holds them together, and I believe
that got Clinton impeached.
I also believe that blunt, frank talk can shock a racist person into a
mental re-boot.
The GOP needs lots of that.
