 Bush Family Tradition: Ducking Scandal
    by  Robert Parry at consortiumnews.com

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
If there is one trait that has followed the Bush family through generations of privilege, it is the
ability to escape scandal - a skill that will be put to the test again over the leaking of Plame's
identity, apparently to get back at her husband for criticizing George W. Bush's case for invading Iraq.

The criminal investigation into who revealed her identity - and endangered clandestine operatives
working with her - has been building for two years. But it is finally reaching critical mass with the
disclosure that Karl Rove discussed Plame's CIA work with Matthew Cooper in July 2003.

Rove appears to have been part of a P.R. campaign to punish Joseph Wilson for writing an article
on July 6, 2003, that the administration had reason to doubt claims about Iraq seeking yellowcake
uranium when Bush cited that dramatic allegation in his State of the Union address in January 2003.

 Pentagon surrenders Halliburton documents
It took a subpeona threat to make them do the right thing

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
The Pentagon has begun submitting documents to a committee investigating Halliburton's
scandal-plagued Iraqi oil contract, valued at $7 billion, which was awarded to Halliburton's
KBR subsidiary in 2003 without competition.   Rep. Christopher Shays (R-CT) intended to
subpoena the Pentagon if the Bush administration refused to surrender the documents.

An aide said that Pentagon officials intend to make more documents public in the near future.

The documents were released only after subcommittee Chairman Shays complained that the
Pentagon was redacting (concealing) internal military audits that criticized Halliburton's work
in Iraq, including audits criticizing Halliburton's overcharges of U.S. taxpayers.

So, things are so bad Bush is hiding the truth from fellow Republicans?
How serious are the global crimes Bush is hiding?
How many hundreds of billions are stolen, wasted or unaccounted for?
Maybe Bush will appoint someone fair and impartial to investigate...

..

...and ther Democrats will say, "Good choice!"

 Subject: Coulter wants cameras everywhere

On the Drudge Report, Ann Coulter stated that Americans have no expectation of privacy
anywhere in the USA where a Police Officer could legally be. Therefore she supports and
wants Police Monitors at every street in the USA (where feasible).

 This is the Republican Party.

They want Police monitoring you and your family at parks, picnics, shopping malls, and
everywhere else. Coulter also supports using all those video files for the Police and Homeland
Security to continue compiling the Citizen Database that links your photo and all the places the
Government has taken your photos to your credit report, your Social Security account, your
work history, educational and library habits (and whatever else they are keeping track of).

The terrorists are all Arab Moslems. Why should all Americans lose all their Civil Rights
because of a small group of Moslem fanatics? Even the Soviet Union during the Stalin era
never had the attitude that Ann Coulter proposes.

Ann Coulter and the Republicans want a world like George Orwell's 1984,
where Big Brother is the Republican Party.
 Citizen 6.

 Reminder:
The people in charge of tracking us are Iran-Contra felons who got pardons
the last time they were caught abusing authority and stealing elections, stealing money,
dealing with terrorists and killing tens of thousands of people who might be in their way.

 Subject: Tiger Woods

 Your Tiger Hex isn't working.

 LL516

LL, I was ...distracted this weekend, so he snuck one past the curse but that article
is a great example of why I can't stand to read what they write about him.

Sports writers treat Eldrick Woods like FOX News treats Bush.
Remember the old Elvis movies, where everyone's motivation was to be sure
Elvis got laid and Elvis was happy and Elvis's drink was always fresh?

Jesus, if the guy wins by a stroke (over Goober McPicknose), the headlines scream
"Tiger is God," but wouldn't that make old Goober at least the Hold Ghost?

Look how this "writer" begins his "news story."

After a British Open rout, just imagine what might have been
If only Tiger Woods could have a do-over on those two shots at Pinehurst.
Then think what might have been.

Oh, the chills run down my backbone...

This guy will be dehydrated when he's done gushing over Eldrick's "greatness."
This guy would give his spleen, a kidney and two of his kids to see Tiger win another major.

Just like FOX, they can't merely tell us what happen.
 Noooooooooooooooo!

Their job is to sell Tiger so more kids buy golf clubs.
Their job is to soak it with gasoline and hit it with a match.
It's got nothing to do with golf.
It's about selling stories of our "favorite" golfer.

One other thing, I looked - longer than I should have needed to - but never did
find out how many strokes Tiger won by. That's because no sports outlet I read
bothered to give us the FACTS - it was all Tiger worship 24 / 7 / 365.

Am I asking too much when I ask for the final score?

In Boxing, it's "Tyson quits after round six!"
In baseball, it's "Cardinals beat the Cubs 4-2."
In football, it's  "Rams kick Cowboy ass 27-3!"
In horse racing, it's "Seattle Slew wins by 16 lengths."

...but in golf, it's "Tiger is God!"

Is there no room in golf for the facts?
Or would that take away valuable Tiger-worship time and inches?

Judge: Claims against Michael Moore are horseshit

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
A federal judge Thursday threw out a libel and defamation lawsuit filed against Michael Moore
by the brother of arch-conservative Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols.

Judge Paul Borman ruled that statements Moore made about James Nichols in "Bowling for
Columbine" documentary were "factual and substantially true."  Nichols claimed that the statements
could be misinterpreted by viewers to inaccurately link him to the bombing. He also claimed the
film invaded his privacy and inflicted emotional distress.

Moore's attorney Herschel P. Fink called the decision a "home run."
"The thing that is most pleasing to Mr. Moore is that the judge agreed with our argument that
the statements were not false and that they were accurately reported," Fink said.

 Subject:  London bombings

There is not justification for terrorism. The London bombing is tragic.  We now knowr
from the Downing Street Memos that the reasons  behind the war were in fact faked.

No one knows what the reason was that caused these particular terrorists to act.
When wars are started without justification that it increases the likelihood of a terrorist attack.
When governments lie to people to start wars it puts the safety of the people in jeopardy and
it may well turn out that the British are paying the price for the moral failings of their leader.

Subject:  would evil men commit murder to steal billions?

 Hi bartcop and bartcop folks,

Of course they'd steal, and as you see referenced so often here at bartcop.com (koresh bless you all),
they're still stealing and bush (I can't bring myself to give him a capital letter any more .. he's below human,
therefore not a proper noun) is still covering their rotten asses.

 http://www.counterpunch.com/floyd07162005.html

After "the Crawford Caligula had run through $20 billion of Iraq's oil money",
they will now proft from $25 billion MORE thanks to their own Mr Jihad.

And executive order 13303, aka "Can't Catch Me, hahahaha",
has been renewed. Big frigging surprise, there.

Well, at least you know where to find the money to restore your Social Security funds  :-)

Hammer on, you'll get the bastards yet.

And, please, PLEASE, don't trust "The Democrats" to come to your rescue ... their eyes glaze over
at the thought of $25 billion just like anyone else.

Gov Musclehead slammed for drug kickbacks

  Excerpt:
Admitted sexual predator Arnold Schwarzenegger came under fire Thursday for accepting
millions of dollars in bribes from fitness magazines in a consulting deal that critics say
represents a clear conflict of interest.

Schwarzenegger is being paid at least $5 million over five years to serve as a consultant for
several magazines who derive much of their profit from advertisements for nutritional supplements.
Last year, he vetoed a bill seeking to crack down on the use of performance-enhancing
substances in high school sports because he's a greedy republican on the take.

Shame on the crooked Musclehead governor.

Governor Musclehead  was criticized for having a conflict of interest last week after it was
revealed he vetoed a bill regulating food supplements while he had a multimillion dollar
contract with magazines that profit from the industry.

"This has nothing to do with money," he lied in a telephone interview Friday from Los Angeles.
"Of course, for me, it was a love for the sport.".

But Muscleahead, if it had nothing to do with money, why did you accept the $5 million?
And if it's not about the money, why do you want kids to get stronger drugs cheaper?

  Excerpt:
-- On October 2, 2002, the Deputy DCI testified before the SSCI. Senator Jon Kyl asked the
Deputy DCI whether he had read the British White Paper and whether he disagreed with anything
in the report. The Deputy DCI testified that "the one thing where I think they stretched a little bit
beyond where we would stretch is on the points about where Iraq seeking uranium from various
 African locations." (pg.54)

-- On October 4, 2002 the NIO for Strategic and Nuclear Programs testified that "there is some
information on attempts....there's a question about those attempts because of the control of the material
in those countries....For us it's more the concern that they (Iraq)[have] uranium in country now." (pg. 54)

-- On October 5, 2002, the ADDI said an Iraq nuclear analyst -- he could not remember who -- raised
concerns about the sourcing and some of the facts of the Niger reporting, specifically that the control of
the mines in Niger would have made it very difficult to get yellowcake to Iraq. (pg. 55)

 Jeff (Bush's Gigolo) Gannon's involvement

  Click  Here  search for "Gannon"

  Excerpt:
On Oct. 28, Talon News, a news company tied to a group called GOP USA, posted on the Internet
an interview with Wilson in which the Talon News questioner asks: "An internal government memo
prepared by U.S. intelligence personnel details a meeting in early 2002 where your wife, a member
of the agency for clandestine service working on Iraqi weapons issues, suggested that you could be
sent to investigate the reports. Do you dispute that?"

The questioner, of course, was Jeff Gannon.

..

 So a few questions.

Who requested that the memo be written? Who actually wrote it?
Why does it contain the inaccuracies the CIA claims it does?
Who were the administration officials who continued to circulate the classified document
to conservative news outlets even after Plame's identity was initially revealed?

And how did it get into the hands of Jeff Gannon?

Subject: Ed Schultz and Randi Rhodes

 Bart,

Ed Schultz is good, but Randi Rhodes is even better.

I agree. Randi's the best I've ever heard.

She has come up with some remarkable insights concerning RoveGate.
She recently stated that Valerie Plame was working for a CIA front company,
and was investigating possible financial links between the Laden family, Saudis and terrorism.

Here in CA, I listen to her on AM 1360 KLSD, 3 to 7 p.m., PDT.

 James, thanks.
I do most of my radio listening in the BartMobile, and we only get 2 hours of RR

two hours before of after Randi - but not in place of her.

 Pennsylvanians are into child sex
   ...so says Rick Santorum,  (D-Insane)

  Click  Here

  Excerpt:
When three new lawsuits were filed in August, it was just the latest sexual abuse-related
troubles to hit the Altoona-Johnstown diocese, which has faced an unusually high number
of allegations of abuse by priests for a diocese of its size.

Boston-based Survivors First, an advocacy group for victims of clergy sexual abuse, has compiled
news of allegations against 19 priests (14 of those cases the subject of lawsuits) and one deacon in
Altoona-Johnstown, the highest number in Pennsylvania. By comparison, the group has tracked
allegations against 14 clergy members in the Philadelphia archdiocese and six in Pittsburgh, both
 with substantially larger Catholic populations.

Rick the Insane recently blamed the rape victims in Boston, say they lived in an area full of
deviants and liberals and those tolerant of weird sex, but now that description fits his home state.

Do Pennsylvanians like being called "perverts" by their senator?

 Subject: attention

Bart, first we had Rove's version of  "Liberal Man" and now
Santorum has apparently felt the urge to purge.

Together they've managed to paint quite the portrait of the modern
American Liberal as a kind of snivelling, terrorist coddling rapist.

...and isn't it sick that the Democrats refuse to deny those charges?

Its a good thing Republicans think of themselves as "compassionate conservatives"
otherwise, I might feel a little hurt by all of this...

I'm sure though that they only say these things for our own good,
and that this has nothing to do with Mr Bush's recent low polling numbers...

"I know the reporting's bad because I know people in Iraq. A buddy just finished
a stint overseeing the power grid. When's the last time you read a story about the
progress being made on the power grid?  And reporters wonder why they're despised."
--Mark Yost, a writer at St. Paul Pioneer Press, criticizing Iraq war coverage,   Attribution

Every report I've read says Baghdad has less power than they had a year ago, and plenty less
than they had under Saddam.  Can you imagine the torture of being stuck indoors every day when
the temp is over 100 degrees and sometimes as high as 114?

The poor Iraqis are so tortured, they sometimes go outside and risk gunfire
because they just can't stand to swelter another minute in the unforgiving heat.

The bloody Bush Monkey freed them from their air conditioners.
