Excerpt:
One of the most neglected but important questions
about the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks is whether
they were, in effect, a sucker punch from a marginal
group of extremists who succeeded because a new
American administration let its guard down.
If that is the case, then the massive retaliation
launched by the United States, which has gone far beyond
attacking al-Qaeda's bases in Afghanistan, may
be viewed as a dangerous - and possibly counter-productive
- overreaction, a classic example of playing
into an enemy's hands.
The Bush administration's response to the Sept.
11 attacks has included invading another Muslim country,
Iraq, which had little or no connection to al-Qaeda;
tolerating abuse of detainees in secret prisons to the
detriment of America's image around the world;
and restricting civil liberties at home.

Mistake
Swindle
Bush rapes Treasury for the 100th Time
Link
Excerpt:
FEMA gave Titan more than a half million dollars
in new Katrina contracts.
Here are the top five reasons this was a very
bad idea:
TORTURE: Titan is under two different federal
investigations for its role in the Abu Ghraib torture scandal.
The Taguba report - the official government report
into the prison abuse — found a Titan employee
committed "indecent acts" and was involved in
"cruelty and maltreatment" of Iraqi prisoners.
NEGLIGENCE: Titan bilked the U.S. government out
of millions of dollars by sending hundreds of unqualified
interpreters to Iraq. On top of that, Pentagon
auditors recommended withholding $4.9 million from Titan's Iraq
translator contract due to questionable billing
practices.
ESPIONAGE: Another Titan employee working at the
prison in Guantanamo Bay was sentenced
to 20 months in prison for espionage against
the United States.
BRIBERY: In March 2003, Titan admitted guilt in
an "international bribery scheme." The company had to pay
$28,500 to the SEC for trying to influence the
presidential election of the West African nation of Benin.
CHEATING: A federal inspector general report last
year found Titan overcharged American taxpayers for a
troop counseling contract. The company gave nearly
all of the work to a subcontractor, yet added its own fee
to each of the invoices. The report charged:
"We believe that Titan's fee could represent largely unnecessary
costs to the government."
I believe this writer has missed the forest for
the trees.
Titan must be a tentacle of the BFEE.and here's
why:
Example One:
A federal inspector general report last December concluded that taxpayers
overpaid for
a $229 million Titan military contract because
the firm subcontracted substantially all of the work. Link
Thats
$229M was split between Titan and the BFEE.
That'd be like hiring Ol' Bart for $1,000,000
to do some plastic surgery on your wife.
All I can do is open a phone book and hire a
plastic surgeon for, say, $300,000.
That way, the surgeon makes $300K, I make $700K
and I kick back half to the BFEE.
There's no other reason to give a no-bid contract
to a firm to hire someone else.
That's why they hired Halliburton to serve food
in Iraq.
Halliburton is an oil field services company
- they don't know a damn thing about food,
but they can hire a food company for half price
and kick back the diff to Cheney & Smirk.
Example Two: The
GSA inspector general last year issued an audit report that raised questions
about
Titan's $229 million contract to provide employee
assistance and counseling to military families.
The report concluded that Titan subcontracted
nearly all of the work to a subcontractor called Ceridian.
Nonetheless, Titan added its own fee to each
contract invoice, the report found.
"Titan's fee could represent largely unnecessary
costs to the government," the report concluded.
Link
Duh, ya think?
The BFEE has been raping the Treasury for five
years with scams like this,
and I've been talking about it until I'm blue
in the face, but who listens to the facts these days?
No-fucking-body, that's who, and that's a damn
shame.

Random Thought...
I'm watching Der Monkey give a speech to some troops who were ordered
to attend.
The latest pools say 59 percent of military families don't support
his make-me-rich policies.
I'm wondering why none of these captive soldiers has the bravery to
stand up during the speech and say,
"That's a damned lie! We're dying in Iraq
to raise the value of Halliburton stock, you bastard!"
What's the worst it could cost them?
A weekend in the brig?
Or (gasp) a life-saving discharge to get out of Bush's soldier-eating
Iraqi quarmire?
Wait, Der Monkey just said, "The enemy does
not follow the rules of warfare."
The rules of warfare say you can't use phosphorus bombs, but we're
doing that.
I'll bet the rules of warfare say you can't blow up a crowded restaurant
because your
flawed intellignce says Saddam or his kids might be there, but we did
that, too.
The rules of warfare also say you can't torture captured soldiers, but
Bush and Cheney
are asking for explicit permission from Congress to break those rules
of warfare.
Why do these soldiers accept Bush's lies?

BBC NEWS Americas Jewish extremist killed in
jail
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4411408.stm
Almost daily, I've been reading Bartcop for about
three years now.
DO NOTICE, if this guy featured in the above hyper
had been a Muslim -- or even an Irish Catholic
-- who conspired to blow up the Crystal Cathedral
or some Anglican church in the British Isles,
he'd be ranked right up there with bin Ladin
or Moussoui. BUT NO, he's just a "Jewish (aka Zionist) extremist."
Who called him that?
Certainly not me - I haven't even read that story,
don't care to read that story - why would I?
Besides, I try to avoid religious insanity.
But will Bart ever discuss or lament this fact
of POLITICS along with his rather formula-censored tirades against
(un)popular Christianity which has a stranglehold
on Washington D.C.? the very fact that this double-standard!
is so "religiously" maintained by America's MSM
(and yes, even Bartcop) confirms volumes about how endemic
is America's own culture of religious and racial
bigotry.
ha ha
Bartcop is the mainstream media
now, is that what you're saying?
That's very nice of you, but really, you flatter
me too much.
CBS gets a million dollars for 30-seconds, I
get $50 for 2 days.
Are you a religious bigot, Bartcop?
Sure, in that I pre-judge religion to be for the
weak and the scared.
And when I run for president, you can quote me.
Or will you finally admit that it's the religiously
bigoted of WASHINGTON who are feeding hundreds-of-billions
(upfront AND under the table) of taxpayer dollars
to Zionland instead of taking care of America's own FIRST?
I've always said we give too much money to Israel.
That's why I said it'd be cheaper to move Israel
to Oklahoma than pay $6B a year renting "sacred sand."
It's safer here, it's cheaper here and we wouldn't
have a war and Bush's ex-partners blowing up New York.
Funny - you're trying to "trap me" into saying
stuff that's on a hundred back pages.
Whether Congress surrenders the money because
they're Apocalyptic believers, or just because AIPAC
"showed them the money" is besides the point.
One things for sure, AIPAC doesn't discriminate,
It's BOUGHT OUT both sides of the isle!
I'll take your word for that - I have no idea
what the AIPAC is because I have no dog in that race..
Perhaps you've mistaken me for someone who gives
a fuck?
Even more than getting "cheaper" oil (for which
we ain't), CHRISTIAN ZIONISM is a central neo-con focus
of America's terrifying cultural war against
Islam. Furthermore, MUSLIMS DID NOT START IT! It actually
"started" way back at the beginning of the 20th
century ...........
<snipped so much I had to buy new scissors>
ha ha
How many more hundreds of chapters does this
never-ending story have?
I ain't got the time.
Tell me Bart, is the main reason you avoid talking
about Zionism as America's undeclared terror-war's
principle sponsor really just because you don't
want to "get into that religious pissing match?"
There's too many nutjobs - people like yourself
- involved in this crap.
This subject turns sane people crazy.
I'm old, I've seen it happen dozens of
times.
Or is it more likely because it would guarantee
that your major financial "sponsors" (whom you really
can't do without) would summarily pull out all
their financing if you revealed to your audience the
"tasteless truth" of their war-crimes hoodwinking?
ha ha
I have sponsors?
Could you tell them my check is late?
ha ha
Let's get a chant going,
"Send bart his check, send Bart his check!"
OK, now just the girls...
"Send bart his check, send Bart his check!"
Now just the dudes...
"Send bart his check, send Bart his check!"
Now just the straight people...
"Send bart his check, send Bart his check!"

Also, why is it that you casually paint ALL of
Islam and most of generic Christianity with the
broad-brushed color of (stupidity and) "terrorism"
but you won't even go near the more
encompassing terrorists (e.g., above hyperlink)
of Zionism?
...because ...I forgive the Mossad for 9-11?
ha ha
Sorry, that was mean.
Dude, if you knew anything about me you'd know I have an IQ of 64, and
STILL
I'm smart enough to avoid stepping in the let's-kill-each-other madness
that is religious insanity.
They're all crazy, except Perkel - he's just half
crazy.
Heck, even you, without the religious insanity, might be a half-normal
guy.

Instead of spreading WP haphazardly all over a

How the
NeoCons - and the Dems - sunk the Ship of State
Link
Excerpt:
As bad as things seem now, it can get worse.
This is the conclusion one comes to after reading
E.J. Dionne's commentary in last Monday's edition
of the Washington Post.
Dionne urged Democrats to find a vision. Perhaps
Dionne simply should paint Senator Kerry as the
Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz and sing 'If
Kerry only had a brain.' The fact is, the visionary and
moral leadership offered by such stalwarts of
the DNC remain the best hopes of people like Karl Rove.
There isn't a vacant deck chair on the "D.N.C.
Titanic" during this Democrat cruise.
Whatever happened to the refrain, "Bush stole
the election"? Several days ago John Kerry made a
hasty retreat from what he had once openly stated
to Mark Crispin Miller, (author of "Fooled Again")
that Bush had in fact stolen the 04 elections.
The silence is deafening. No one has uttered a peep about
vacancy in John Kerry's trousers these days.
This is the man who wanted to be President? The NeoCons
in the White House must rejoice daily that Providence
has provided them with the current Democratic leadership.

Yes, in 99.99 percent of the cases.
Is it wrong to shoot a cop who's shooting a child per second?
No, but the crazies want to paint me as "Mr Cop Killer," for

Why do we have to go over the same ground 100 times?

Adam Clymer recalls an episode during the 1988
presidential campaign, when Miller was deputy Washington
bureau chief. Then the political editor based
in New York, Clymer got a call from Miller. She was demanding
that a story about Dukakis be pulled from the
paper. The story was too soft, she complained -- and said Lee Atwater,
the political strategist for Bush the Smarter,
believed it was soft as well. Clymer said he was stunned to realize that
Atwater had been told about it before publication.
He and Miller argued and he ultimately hung up on her, twice.
To Clymer, it was an indication of Miller's main

Whoops, I think I answered my own question.
