"The only thing dishonest and reprehensible
is the way the administration distorted,
misrepresented and manipulated the intelligence
to justify a war America never should
have fought. It defies belief that the vice

the president and vice president had."

White House vs Murtha
Link
Excerpt:
The enemy hears a big debate in the United States,
and they have to wonder maybe all we have to do
is wait and we'll win," Rummmy said on "Fox Whore
Sunday." "We have to all have the willingness to have
a free debate, but we also all have to have the
willingness to understand what the effects of our words are,"
Rumsfeld told Judas Maximus on This Whore.
Got that? Free speech is just fine as long as you don't exercise it.
Murtha is such a powerful critic because he knows
where he stands and what he wants for this nation and he is
willing to pursue it whether it is popular or
not. What kind of Democrat does that make him? A rare one."

BIG OIL
loves Bush's fake war
Link
Excerpt:
Big oil firms may rob Iraq of billions and grab
control of its oilfields unless ordinary Iraqis can have a greater say
in how their country's riches are tapped, U.S.
and British campaigners said on Tuesday. Big oil is being lured by
the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA), promoted
by Washington and London, which gives them huge returns
on investment, but deprives Iraq of up to $194
billion (113 billion pounds), according to "Crude Designs: The rip-off
of Iraq's oil wealth". "Under the influence of
the U.S. and UK, powerful politicians and technocrats in the Iraqi oil
ministry are pushing to hand all Iraq's undeveloped
fields to multinational oil companies, to be developed under
production sharing agreements," said Greg Muttitt,
the report's author.
You mean this war is about oil?
They're robbing Iraq blind?
Who knew?
And why hasn't anybody mentioned this until now?

Subject: Scottie the Underbear
I love his comment: "policy positions of Michael
Moore and the extreme liberal wing of the Democratic party."
Coupled with your comment of 63% being apparent
supporters of those policy positions, isn't it wonderful
how big the extreme liberal wing of the Democratic
party is?
In most places, that would be defined as the center
(i.e., where the median of the group exists.)
Maybe we can move back to the left now that the
center has moved toward us.

Subject: no mas for Hillary
Bart,
This is an excerpt from the Wayne
Madsen Report.
It pretty much sums up how I feel about Hillary.
Backing her for 2008 is not a good move.
Not only has Rep. Jack Murtha
caught heat from the GOP over his plan to begin
an immediate U.S. withdrawal
from Iraq, he also faces criticism from Hillary.
Clinton believes Democrats
should "work together" with Bush to "fix" the "problems" in Iraq.
She also believes Iraq will
collapse into civil war after a U.S. withdrawal.
Earth to Hillary:
1. There is a civil war in
Iraq now.
2. Working together with
the Bush administration is like having a leader of the wartime
German resistance suggesting
negotiations with the Hitler regime.
3. You are
what is wrong with the Democratic Party. Republican Lite Democrats and
the
corporate-controlled Democratic
Leadership Council don't play anymore (well maybe
except for the Upper West
Side and the Hamptons.
Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton
for 24, maybe 28 years -- No Way!
Memo to the American Oligarchic
Duopoly: "We'd like to have our country back now."
So, Wayne Masden doesn't like Hillary.
I doubt there's anything Wayne Masden can tell Hillary about this war.
Wayne needs to read Bart's
Laws,
Do you know what Bart's Law #1 is? (And there's a reason why
it's #1)
> Don't EVER
tell the truth in a political campaign.
> People want to be lied to.
Hillary is going to say some centrist things to get elected (Nobody's
ever done that before.)
Saying, "We'd like to have
our country back now" isn't very effective.
When did whining ever accomplish anything?.
Wayne says he's tired of Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton.
Maybe he'd prefer Bush-Bush-Bush-Bush?

War critics
- Friends of Freedom
by David Sarota
Link
Excerpt:
It is the right-wing, pigheaded proponents of
the status quo who actually seem to have no regard for our troops.
Many of these proponents did everything they
could to avoid military service when their country called, yet have
no problem sending soldiers to die. This
is the same disgusting bunch that has questioned the patriotism of anyone
who
raises any questions about anything that Bush
doesn't like. So next time you see the latest casualties on TV, and then
see
chickenhawks like Dick Cheney get up in his fancy
tuxedo, conveniently forget his five draft deferments, attack a War hero's
courage, and claim war critics are hurting our
troops, ask yourself: Is the Bush administration actually arguing that
continuing
to support this crazily misguided Iraq policy
actually helps the troops?"

What the fuck does this have to do with torture?
attorney
The point is, you either choose to save 10M lives or you choose
to let 10M people die
so you can wrap yourself up in principle and impress your even-more-liberal
friends.
For me, the choice is pretty clear.
Letting 10M people die so you can say "I'm
better than the terrorists,"
is unconscionable and irresponsible and crap like that is killing us
at election time.

Subject: slapping
a terrorist
Bart:
I'd like to share a thought regarding your scenario
with the two airplanes heading for the same runway.
You're talking about the scenario of the "ticking
bomb," where you have to torture a terrorist in order to
prevent a disaster. Fine. I'd slap him
too, except for this problem: you're describing a Jerry Bruckheimer screenplay.
Torture or even slapping would not have been needed
to stop the bombing of New York in 2001.
We had the information we needed to prevent it--the
FBI knew about the weirdoes in flight schools
who had no interest in learning to land a plane,
there was a PDB titled "Bin Laden Determined to Attack In U.S."
What we lacked was someone taking action on the
knowledge.
Torture should always be against the rules--and
if you ever find yourself in that ticking timebomb situation
(and you don't have Bruce Willis by your side),
go ahead, break the rule. But accept the consequences
if you were wrong. The world and the nation and
I will forgive you if you're right.
Thanks for the back-and-forth on this and other
issues.
Brian.
Dude, thanks for that.

The Return
of Watergate

Excerpt:
In the first of those gate-moments, Woodward
and Bernstein, protected a source dubbed "Deep Throat."
They were protecting the power of Deep Throat's
information to potentially bring down a government
deeply mired in every sort of misuse and abuse
of power. In Plamegate, Woodward has become one
of them, is again protecting a source."
If "shame" existed inside the Whore Beltway, Woodward would be drummed
out of the business.
Imagine, going from a journalistic hero to become a journalistic whore,
with ethics for rent.
Remember a while back SONY got caught fabricating positive movie reviews?
Why is it wrong for SONY to lie about some lame-ass movie, but it's
OK for Bush to lie
about a war that's killed 2100 troops and it's OK for Woodward to protect
those lies?

Halliburton
repays $8.6 million to pension holders
Caught stealing, they blame "an accounting error"
Link
Excerpt:
Halliburton Co. repaid $8.6 million to pension
holders in 2003 and 2004 for failing to properly fund the plans
and for a bookkeeping error, according to a letter
from the Labor Department. The Labor Department closed
its investigation into the pension violations
after the payments were made.
"Because you have taken the corrective actions
... the Department will take no further action," Roger Hilburn,
regional director for the Labor Department said
in the letter, which cited several potential legal violations by the company.
The Houston-based company said once the errors
were discovered, it moved to cover the payments.
When the crooked president and VP are your partners, when you get caught
stealing millions,
you just have to say, "My bad"
and return some of the money and everything is all peachy dandy.
But if you're poor, and you get caught stealing a turkey for your family
to eat, you do hard time.

Bush Coward
makes Crawford protests illegal
Link
Excerpt:
A dozen war protesters were arrested Wednesday
for setting up camp near the Bush bastard's fake ranch
in defiance of new illegal bans on roadside camping
and parking. About four hours after the group pitched six tents,
McLennan County sheriff's deputies arrested them
for criminal trespassing.
Another dozen or so demonstrators left the public
right of way after deputies warned them they would be arrested.
The protest was set to coincide with Bush's Thanksgiving
ranch visit.
The arrests were made by more than two dozen deputies
who calmly approached the demonstrators in their tents
and asked if they wanted to walk out on their
own or be carried. Cindy Sheehan wasn't among the protesters
because of a family emergency in California,
but she planned to be at the camp later in the week.
The cowardly bastard says people have a right to disagree with the war,
then arrests those who do.

Anticipated Jet Impacts Like 9-11
Link
Excerpt:
Frank A. Demartini, on-site construction manager
for the World Trade Center, spoke of the resilience of the towers
in an interview recorded on January 25, 2001.
The building was designed to have a fully loaded 707 crash into it.
That was the largest plane at the time. I believe
that the building probably could sustain multiple impacts of jetliners
because this structure is like the mosquito netting
on your screen door -- this intense grid -- and the jet plane is just
a pencil puncturing that screen netting. It really
does nothing to the screen netting.
Demartini, who had an office on the 88th floor
of the North Tower, has been missing since the 9/11/01 attack.

Dear Church of Reality Members,
Last night I went to see Michael Newdow, the famous
atheist who is challenging the inclusion of "Under God"
in the Pledge of Allegiance. He has filed a new
lawsuit challenging the words "In God we Trust" on US money.
This is his lawsuit:
http://www.restorethepledge.com/litigation/money/docs/2005-11-18%20IGWT%20Complaint.pdf
Two of the issues he has to overcome, for those
of you who speak lawyer, is Standing and Harm.
Standing is the right to be a party in
a lawsuit. The dispute has to affect you personally in some way
that you are entitled to relief by the court.
The other issue is harm. How has the event that you are suing
over harmed you so that you are entitled to relief
by the courts.
In his suit I think he's week on these two key
issues and I'm wondering if the CoR might be a better plaintiff in his
case.
I have started a thread on the CoR discussion
board about the subject and invite you to give me feedback there. Here's
the thread.
