"In the Bird Flu TV movie, America's competent
(fictional) leaders were incapable of doing
anything to stop an impending 300 million
dead worldwide (give or take 1.5 million dead in
the US alone) and the entire dissolution of
the American economy and society as we know it.
In the real world, add Bush to the mix, and
we're basically dead."

Hey, Democrats,
the Truth Matters!
by Robert Parry as seen on consortiumnews.com
Link
Excerpt:
My book, Secrecy & Privilege, opens
with a scene in spring 1994 when a guest at a White House social event
asks Bill Clinton why his administration didn't
pursue unresolved scandals from the Reagan-Bush era, such as the
Iraqgate secret support for Saddam Hussein's
government and clandestine arms shipments to Iran.
Clinton responds to the questions from the guest,
documentary filmmaker Stuart Sender, by saying, in effect,
that those historical questions had to take a
back seat to Clinton's domestic agenda and his desire for greater
bipartisanship with the Republicans.
Clinton "didn't feel that it was a good idea to
pursue these investigations because he was going to have to work with
these people," Sender told me. "He was going
to try to work with these guys, compromise, build working relationships."
Clinton's relatively low regard for the value
of truth and accountability is relevant again today because other centrist
Democrats are urging their party to give George
W. Bush's administration a similar pass if the Democrats win one
or both houses of Congress.

Did Hitler's
Partner Steal Geronimo's Skull?
Link
Excerpt:
A Yale historian has uncovered a 1918 letter
that seems to lend validity to the lore that Yale's ultra-secret
Skull and Bones society swiped the skull of American
Indian leader Geronimo. The letter, written by one
member of Skull and Bones to another, purports
that the skull and some of the Indian leader's remains were
spirited from his burial plot in Fort Sill, Okla.,
to a stone tomb in New Haven that serves as the club's HQ.
According to Skull and Bones legend, members
-- including Prescott Bush -- dug up Geronimo's grave
when some Army volunteers from Yale were stationed
at the fort during World War I. Geronimo died in 1909.
I saw Glenn Beck laughing about this late Wednesday night on CNN headlines
News.
(I didn't know they gave that racist bastard an hour - did you?)
He was laughing at the "big crimes" of Prescott Bush, stealing Geronimo's
skull.
Would he be laughing if they stole Lincoln's skull? Or
Robert E Lee's skull?
Screw the Indians, right Mr. Beck?
They're just red negroes, so their feeling don't count, right, Mr Beck?

200,000
U.S. Guns Given to Al Qaeda?
Link
Excerpt:
Some 200,000 guns the US sent to Iraqi security
forces may have been smuggled to terrorists,
it was feared yesterday. The 99-tonne cache
of AK47s was to have been secretly flown out from
a US base in Bosnia. But the four planeloads
of arms have vanished.
Orders for the deal to go ahead were given by
the US Department of Defense.
But the work was contracted out via a complex
web of private arms traders
Bush contributors.
It follows a separate probe claiming that thousands
of guns meant for Iraq's army instead went to al-Qaeda
Amnesty spokesman Mike Blakemore said: "It's unbelievable
that no one can account for 200,000 assault rifles.
If these weapons have gone missing it's a terrifying
prospect." American defence chiefs hired a US firm to take
the guns, from the 90s Bosnian war, to Iraq.
Knowing Bush, they didn't give guns to Zarqawi
- they would've sold them.
The $140,000M gravy train stops if peace breaks out.
Remember, our military failed to secure 2000 tons of C4, that fell
into their hands.

"Today, the CIA is crawling with liberals.
The military is crawling with liberals. The Bush administration
itself is nothing but a bunch of liberals
as must be the GOP congress since they signed off on everything
Bush has proposed. The media are, needless
to say, nothing but squishy liberals. The country is going to
hell in a handbasket. The president and the
congress and all their policies are dramatically unpopular.
This, then, is just further proof of the failure
of liberalism."

What's in
a Murdoch-Clinton Alliance?
Link
Excerpt:
Yet the developing relationship between Mrs.
Clinton and Mr. Murdoch - who has built an empire in part
on the strength of media outlets such as Fox
News and The New York Post that delight in skewering the
Clintons - has drawn special attention, perplexing
some political analysts and infuriating some liberals already
suspicious of Mrs. Clinton's centrist positioning.
Although she is ostensibly raising money for her re-election
to the Senate this year, she is widely considered
to be laying the groundwork for a presidential bid in 2008.
"The brazenness of this move is almost too much
to stomach," wrote David Sirota on his blog. "Here you have
a leading Democratic U.S. senator engaging in
a 'mating ritual' with the head of the news network that has overtly
worked to systematically destroy both the Democratic
Party and her own husband's administration."
Murdoch, gave a similar fund-raiser for Chuck
Schumer in 2003, and has donated money to several Democrats.
I still don't see a reason to panic.
Does David Sirota think Hillary doesn't know what she's doing?
Did he have a cow and scream "mating ritual" when Murdoch helped Schumer?

Subject: Bartcop's Oct. 2004
prediction
Bart, you couldn't have nailed it any better.
From Bartcop.com Issue 1432, Oct. 30-31, 2004,
you wrote the excerpt below.
With gasoline at nearly $3/gallon (at least in
my area) and 2,428 dead as of May 10, 2006,
your graph below from more than a year and a
half ago puts any psychic to shame:
Robert
--------------------------
[Bartcop on Oct. 30-31, 2004]
> Perhaps the White House could provide us
with a graph,
> showing a price-per-barrel ratio to dead
American heroes.
> Think about it - what if...?
> A gallon of gas cost $1.50, no American military
dead
> A gallon of gas cost $1.75, ...we'll give
you 300 dead servicemen
> A gallon of gas cost $2.25, ...we'll give
you 1000 dead servicemen
> A gallon of gas cost $2.75, ...we'll give
you 2000 dead servicemen
[ INSERT: May 2006: A gallon
of gas costs nearly $3.00...and there are 2,428 dead servicemen ]
> A gallon of gas cost $3.25, ...we'll give
you 3000 dead servicemen
> A gallon of gas cost $3.75, ...we'll give
you 8000 dead servicemen
> A gallon of gas cost $4.25, ...we'll give
you 11,000 dead servicemen
> A gallon of gas cost $5.50, ...we'll give
you 16,000 dead servicemen
> The B.F.E.E. will make extra-billions of
we have enough dead soldiers.
> Do you think evil men mind others dying
to make then super-rich?
> Perpetual war, guaranteed by the most brainless
slug in presidential history.
> So, how many dead do we want to buy?
Sometimes it's no fun being right.

10 Malpractice Cases Groundless
Link
Excerpt:
About 40 percent of the medical malpractice cases
filed in the United States are groundless, according to
a Harvard analysis of the hotly debated issue
that pits trial lawyers against doctors, with lawmakers in the middle.
Many of the lawsuits analyzed contained no evidence
that a medical error was committed or that the patient
suffered any injury, the researchers reported.
The vast majority of those dubious cases were
dismissed with no payout to the patient.
However, groundless lawsuits still accounted
for 15 percent of the money paid out in settlements or verdicts.
I smell a rat.
These giant insurance corporations are paying settlements when there's
mo evidence of injury?
Nobody believes that.
How could Hardvard uncover what the insurance invesigators missed?
People who are forced to write large checks generally turn over every

Who thinks Harvard turned over more rocks than the check writers?
They're saying the billion-dollar insurance conglomerates are too eager

The suicide bombers who killed 52 passengers

Home Secretary John Reid also told the House of
Commons that police and intelligence agencies
\had thwarted three attacks since the July 7

where and when they were to take place.
Just like Bush, Blair's in trouble so he whips out the old, "We

NSA has
massive database of Americans' phone calls
The agency's goal is "to create a database of every call ever
made..."
Link
Excerpt:
The National Security Agency has been secretly
collecting the phone call records of
tens of millions of Americans, using data
provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth,
people with direct knowledge of the arrangement
told USA TODAY.
The NSA program reaches into homes and businesses
across the nation by amassing information
about the calls of ordinary Americans — most
of whom aren't suspected of any crime. This program
does not involve the NSA listening to or recording
conversations. But the spy agency is using the data
to analyze calling patterns in an effort to detect
terrorist activity, sources said in separate interviews.
"It's the largest database ever assembled in the
world," said one person, who, like the others who
agreed to talk about the NSA's activities, declined
to be identified by name or affiliation. The agency's
goal is "to create a database of every call ever
made" within the nation's borders, this person added.
Bush explained, "one end of the communication
must be outside the United States." As a result,
domestic call records — those of calls that originate
and terminate within U.S. borders — were
believed to be private. Sources, however,
say that is not the case. .
First, they did this to us and didn't tell us.
When they got caught, they tried to jail the whitsle blowers and Bush
swore it was
"one end of the communication must be outside
the United States."
and now we find out it's actually tens of millions of calls.
Is anybody fed up?
I just caught CNN's take on it.
They must've spent a full 10 seconds on this latest Bush outrage.

Hillary's courting of Mr Murdoch is part of a
grander strategy, mirrored by statements designed to portray her as
no less pugilistic on terrorism than Mr Bush.
"This shows her to be a consensus-builder, someone who's not polarising,"
Hank Sheinkopf, a Democratic party consultant,
said. "The rightwing take on her has always been that she's polarising.
Certainly, there will be people on the left that
may not like this relationship [with Mr Murdoch] but the fact that she
could forge it speaks well of her ability to
build consensus ... To be president, you've got to win the support of white

Loses her Shine?

Excerpt:
They should have been dyed-in-the-wool
Hillary Clinton supporters. Two New Yorkers...whose liberal
credentials were impeccable. Abby and Cathy were
pro-choice, anti-war and pro-environment...They bore
the sort of passionate dislike for President
George W. Bush that is more commonly heard around European
dinner tables. But sitting at a restaurant in
Greenwich Village it was not America's 43rd president that was the
subject of their scorn. It was Hillary Clinton,
one
time darling of American liberalism and hot favourite to be the
Democrats' presidential pick for 2008. That does
not impress Abby and Cathy. They can't stand Hillary any
more.
Interesting that Paul Harris of the Observer would find two women on
the street who claim to hate Hillary.
Then he basically says these two women should be Hillary
lovers, but they see "the truth" about her,
so they wisely have come to hate her - as you should
too, if you're a good liberal.
The election is 30 months away, and the anti-Hillary machine is cranking
on all 16 cylinders.
I imagine we'll see two stories a day about "why
real Democrats can't stand her traitorous ass."
Doesn't that make you a little suspicious?
Odd that the last polls we saw showed Hillary 29 points ahead of whoever
was Number Two,
but we don't look at the facts when there's a Clinton to be slurred.
Even you Hillary haters have to admit it would be far more likely to
find pro-Hillary women in
New York because, if facts matter, her last approval rating in New
York was in the high sixties.
Harris is walking past the pro-Hillary women to showcase two who
don't like her.
Harris ignores the facts so he can screw with your head and get you
to hate Hillary.
Don't you feel manipulated when you see that kind of horseshit?
They want you to turn on our front-runner.
