Subject: Kos challenge

Bart, I don't think *she* has a chance of winning- look at the Kos gathering.
All Rove has to do is sit back and play soundbites from it with the tagline,
"WE don't need to say anything about Hillary, look what her own party thinks of her."

There's a large faction of (D) who would rather lose or vote for McCain than Hillary.

I agree - there are a LOT of those people.
 

I want to see her win, but I'm not sure that's possible.

Here's the deal:
I keep getting mail (not Suze from yesterday) that says,

"Bart, how can you be so blind?
  Hillary can't win - she's at frigging zero percent?
  Ever hear of DailyKos? Go there and see the facts for yourself!!
  She's at zero percent and you can't win with zero percent."
 

That's what I'm tired of reading - that I'm "too blind to see the facts
that are clearly spelled out on DailyKos, as any idiot with eyes can read."

I wish I had a dime for everyone who wrote to say, "That's not a scientific poll!"

Yeah, guess what - I knew that - so why do I keep getting mail from Kos readers who 
are going to "straighten me out" about Hillary have a zero percent chance of winning?
 

A famous man once said, "Tell a lie often enough and it becomes the truth."
Another famous man said, "The reason I repeat things over and over is because
I have to poll-vault the pundits and get my message right to the people."

Each time a famous Democrat or Most Read web site says,
"She can't win, she's at zero percent in the polls," it becomes a little bit more true.
 

Questions for the Day:
1. Is it in Kos's interests to keep the anti-Hillary mis-information posted?
2. Kos being the Most Read, does he bear more responsibility to correct bad information?

People say, "I saw it on Kos," the way they used to say, "I saw it in the NY Times."

3.If  Kos is "the web site of record," should the record be set straight?

Maybe she is not such a bad thing after all.  I mean, she is vicious and rude
and a lying bitch, no doubt, but maybe she is really trying to help democrats.

Without her to motivate us maybe liberals would just sit by and let the conservatives walk all over us.
Maybe she really is a phony conservative who wants to anger us and make sure that the subtle things the

I didn't see a "plus or minus" for this poll, so it might've been a statistical tie.

Bottom line is it's a pol.. on the website... created by the website moderators.... not a scientific thing. 
I mean, if I, and I'm 14, can tell that these numbers just show who people who read his site support 
then so should his readers.   (but there are some stupid people out there..)

Using some deductive logic, Kos must not like Hillary if his readers give her a zero rating.
If that's true, it might explain why the mis-information is allowed to stand.

Some people go to Kos for the "facts" about the upcoming race. They see the survey, 
then they go all "Johnny Appleseed" to spread the word via e-mail that Hillary is such 
a no-account, total loser, she can't even find one percent support on a good day.

So, the question becomes:
Does Kos know he's spreading vastly misleading information about the Demo front runner?
I hope you don't say that "only the stupid people" would believe Kos's poll results..

I didn't really expect a response from Kos, he's gotten awfully big, but I'm getting tired 
of explaining to people that the "facts" they got from  dailykos.com  ...aren't facts at all.

I'm not saying it's intentional, but people think they're getting the straight truth from  dailykos.com
and so far, Kos seems to be in no big hurry to correct the mistaken impressions.
