The Neocons' Last Stand

With Nader, you put it out again and again that he said "No difference" even after I

Tracy, first thing - take a deep breath and reminder I'm a good guy.
Did he ever utter the phrase, "The lesser of two evils is still evil?"
Do his followers know the difference between "the two evils" and "no difference?"

With Carville you say, "What are the facts?  What did he really say?"

He won't run for any office but Leader of the Free World.
Why didn't he run for something Nov 7 so we could see if
he could attract some votes in some local race?

A man in my position reads a truckload of e-mails every day from lots of people.
After a while, the bumper-sticker simplicities told me that's how Naderite's think.

There's often a difference between what Nader (or anybody) says and what his peeps hear.
Funny, you don't sound like one of them :)

I'm trying to find out what happened with the top dogs in the party.
Instead of facts, I'm getting interpretations - impressions.
Ain't nothing wrong with an ignorant person (me) asking for the facts.

Also, people tell me "Nader is The Man, he says what counts."
Maybe now that we've won an election, we can look at him in new light.

Clear Channel calls it quits
 They can't survive without Bush's insanity

has agreed to sell the company to a consortium of private-equity firms for nearly $27 billion. 
The buyers bid for Tribune Co., which owns several newspapers and television stations. 

So-called old media have shown little or negative growth in recent years, which makes them 
unattractive to Wall Street and public ownership. It's been all downhill for Clear Channel stock 
since its high of nearly $100 per share in 2000, and a buyout likely represents the greatest value

Subject: memo to Carville

Memo to James Carville: Shut. The. Fuck. Up.

Today, Carville stated that *DEAN* was at fault for the Dems not picking up another 20 seats in the
House, and that, "I [Carville] think he should be held accountable. I would describe his leadership as
Rumsfeldian in its competence." When asked by a reporter whether Dean should be dumped,
Carville replied, "In a word, do I think? Yes."

Rumsfeldian incompetence? 
Trying to take credit for the 50-state strategy?  Is he HIGH?

It's one thing for him to (stupipdly) pimp Harold Ford as the next DNC chair, but to go so far
as to call Dean incompetent and compare his performance to that of a mindless, war-mongering
asshole is over the line. (And no way is Carville free-lancing on this one, either).

Schumer and Emmanuel are giving Dean props in public, and you know the state party
officials are in love with Dean at the moment, so I don't think he's going anywhere.
But all this in-fighting taking place in public has to stop. And fast.

Calling Nov 7 a "failure" is cricker-crocker - that's why I asked for quotes and context.
You quote Carville, but you failed to send the link.

Odd that Carville would accept (apparently) 2000, 2002, and 2004 but then characterize
2006 as a "Rumsfeldian failure" that someone should be held accountable for.

Something I found:
According to Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg, "there were two dozen seats in which Republicans
got 51 percent or less....There is a very big difference between defending these seats as incumbents
or still trying to pick these up while they are being protected by Republicans."

Carville said "We beat the hell out of them at the committees, at the congressional [campaign] committees.
The DNC [Democratic National Committee] left the money on the table."
 

So, each side seems to have good points - so we need more facts to make a decision.

Dean had a great victory on Nov 7, picking up 28 seats or so. Greenburg-Carville seem to be saying
that 28 could've been 52 if Dean had spend the money that was given to him on tight races.

Greenburg-Carville have no trouble smiting Dean for winning, but I didn't hear 
the same vitriol when Kerry left money on the table - while losing - in 2004.

Dems hand Pelosi first defeat
 It was fun while it lasted...

"She's a very smart woman who made an error in judgment."
 

Wait, Murtha heads the "End this war" faction of the Democratic Party.
Why are Democrats opposing him? 

Cheeses, it's been 9 days and already I need a graphic of Pelosi with 
a Democratic knife sticking out of her back.

Who the hell is Steny Hoyer and why is he favored over Murtha?

I wanted Bay Buchanan to offer him a hankie tell him not to worry, Rahm would only have flushed more
money down the shitter to follow the $4 million he threw after losers Diane Farrell and Tammy Duckworth,
but she just nodded with a bobbling wag of angular features that made me think she could be auditioning
for the role of his Second Missus.

My birthday was election day and i got exactly what i wanted.  The IMPEACHMENT TEAM!

I'd like to thank you for two things.  First it was you that inspired me to go see Shirley in concert.
I wrote you the morning after. loved it.  You knew.

Second and most important;  I feel that YOU may have done more for our country
in the last few years than anybody I can think of.  I mean that.

You were telling the truth back when it was dangerous to do so.  Wellstone? Carnahan to name a few.
The BFEE has been exposed and there is now a chance for liberty to prevail.

Someday maybe we can have a shot of tequila together.  Maybe when bu$h is IMPEACHED!!!!

Please do not let the republicans pressure the Dems for a solution to Iraq.   IRAQ IS A CRIME.
There is no easy solution for this CRIME.  Bu$h has no solution; he lied us into it.
The only way to begin the healing is to prosecute the bastards that committed this CRIME.
Crimes are not and never were a US policy.  This is on the BFEE and nobody else.

Try listening to some Warren Zevon sometime if you haven't already.

Carville is pissed that in the last week of the campaign Dean, DNC, Rahm etc.. sat on 6 million bucks 
that they could have rushed in to some very tight House races that were taken by less that 1% by Repubs. 
He feels that this would have gotten potentially another 10 seats for us.

Dean and Rahm have responded that Carville just doesn't know what he is talking about.

Before we lynch Carville, can we ask if what he said was true?

IF Carville told them, "I could win you five more seats if I had three million dollars more,"

Reminder:

Early in his maladministration, didn't Der Boy Fuhrer threaten to quit
and go back to Crawford if he didn't get his way on some vote?

Maybe someone should remind him about that.

Bart -- Re the pic of Santorum and his daughter;

Regardless of how bad she looks in the picture, she's 10 years old.
She's not responsible for ANYTHING!  She doesn't deserve to be ridiculed 
in public and certainly not by us on the humanitarian side of the political fence.

I had/have no idea how old she is, and I'm certainly not calling her "Pennsylvania's dog."
I mocked her 100-year old clothes, which I assume Mrs. Man-on-dog picked out for her.
If she wore a comdom over her nose, I could mention that, right? And not having kids, 
I'm just guessing, but do normal 10 year old girls still carry their dolls?  In public?

I'm breathing a sigh of relief that, as weird as this man-on-dog, dead-fetus-handling family is,
at least Man-on-dog Santorum is out of power and can't make other little girls look and dress this way.
