"I guess America's stellar "news" media is
still pretending that the Iraq War wasn't started
under false pretenses and constructed
on a hundred lies. Reporters continue to go along with
Bush's delusional notion that the war
isn't already lost. The press continues to report Bush's plans
on the war, shortsighted and dense
as they may be, as though he is a President of legitimacy.
If a lot of people weren't needlessly
dying just so Bush could show the public that he is still
the Decider-in-Chief, it would almost
be comical."

A Very Dangerous
New Year
by Robert Parry
consortiumnews.com
Excerpt:
The first two or three months of 2007 represent
a dangerous opening for an escalation of war in
the Middle East, as George W. Bush will be tempted
to "double-down" his gamble in Iraq by
joining with Israel's Olmert and Tony Blair to
strike at Syria and Iran, intelligence sources say.
Bush is now considering a "surge" in U.S. troop
levels in Iraq from about 140,000 to as many
as 170,000. He also has dispatched a second aircraft
carrier group to the coast of Iran.
So far, however, Bush has confronted stiff opposition
from the Joint Chiefs to the plan for raising
troop levels in Iraq, partly because the generals
don't think it makes sense to commit more troops
without a specific military mission.
Santa, can you bring this warmongering idiot a brain for Christmas?
Even a small one would be a big improvement over no brain at all.

I have half-a-mind to kick your boney ass for

But truth is, you have it half-right.
I'm not being completely honest

I wildly overbought shotglasses figuring
they'd sell.
Maybe the smart move would've been to order the
cheap-ass shotglasses
and sold them for $9.99 a set, ...but ...that's
what happens when your IQ is 64.
BTW, I would like to extra thank those who have

If you liked your purchase and want to send a

I'd be happy to print in on the page as an inducement

Escalate
the Killing
by Stephen Hanchett
isbushantichrist.blogspot.com
Excerpt:
Bush is making a big show of getting opinions
and options, but it's all a shell game to hide the fact
that he's already made up his mind to widen the
war and he doesn't care what anybody thinks about it.
To the corporate media: Why this repeat? We've
already seen this program in the run-up to the Iraq war,
when Bush said he wanted peace and his mind was
still open. But Bush decided before 9-11 to invade Iraq,
and "the facts were fit around the policy."
Rather than exposing Bush's lies, our corporate
media shills were/still are handing him a megaphone.
Years from now, after thousands more have
died, the New York Times can run another apology
because they weren't more skeptical. Thanks
guys - what would we do without a free press?
But thanks to the internet, we can get REAL news from overseas and the
bloggers.
The American whore media cannot be trusted - they're
just too pro-war and pro-Bush.

Excerpt:
While many expressed shock and horror at Goode's
warning that "many more Muslims" could
one day hold elected office in the United States
unless immigration laws are tightened, others
wrote or called to say "Goode for president!"
and to express their belief that Islam is not
compatible with democracy. The majority were
supportive of Goode.
The political firestorm that has burned through
the blogosphere and on cable news shows was
ignited Tuesday when the Council on American-Islamic
Relations called for Goode to apologize.
Goode refused.
Goode's defiance prompted one reader to write:
"Someone has to protect our nation from being
overtaken by immigrants who wish to convert the
rest of us to their way of thinking. I say
'Go get them, Virgil, and God bless you for trying
to save our country.'"

Marines
charged in Iraqi civilian deaths
They shouldn't even be in Iraq
Link
Excerpt:
Eight Marines were charged Thursday in the killings
of 24 Iraqi civilians last year during a bloody,
door-to-door sweep in Haditha, Iraq that came
after a comrad was killed by a roadside bomb.
The most serious charges were brought against
Sgt. Frank Wuterich, a 26-year-old squad leader
accused of murdering 12 civilians and ordering
the murders of six others. He was accused of telling
his men to "shoot first and ask questions later,"
according to court papers released by his attorney.
The Marine Corps tried to cover up the massacre,
claiming that 15 Iraqis died in a roadside bomb
blast and that Marines killed eight insurgents
in an ensuing firefight. They were caught lying.
A criminal probe was launched after Time Whore
Magazine reported in March,
citing survivor accounts and human rights groups,
that innocent people were killed.

Subject: war on drugs
According to US Government estimates domestic
marijuana production has increased ten fold
over the last 25 years from 1,000 metric tons
(2.2 million pounds) in 1981 to 10,000 metric tons
(22 million pounds) in 2006. The ongoing proliferation
of marijuana cultivation places it beyond
the scope of law enforcement capabilities to
control and reduce the availability of marijuana to
teenagers and young children under existing public
policy.
Using conservative price estimates derived from
federal surveys, domestic marijuana production
has a value of $35.8 billion, more than corn
and wheat combined, easily making it America's
largest and most lucrative cash crop.
Based on production estimates derived from marijuana
eradication efforts from 2003 to 2005
marijuana is the top cash crop in 12 states,
one of the top 3 cash crops in 30 states, and one
of the top 5 cash crops in 39 states.
The domestic marijuana crop is larger than Cotton
in Alabama, larger than Grapes, Vegetables
and Hay combined in California, larger than Peanuts
in Georgia, larger than Tobacco in both
Carolinas, larger than Hay, Tobacco, Corn and
Soybeans combined in Kentucky, and larger
than the top ten crops combined (Soybeans, Hay,
Cotton, Corn, Tobacco, Vegetables, Wheat,
Cottonseed, Sorghum and Apples) in Tennessee.
Illicit marijuana cultivation provides considerable
unreported revenue for growers without
corresponding tax obligations to compensate the
public for the social and fiscal costs of pot use.

Bush's 'Global
War on Radicals'
by Robert Parry
consortiumnews.com
Excerpt:
The United States will never win the "war on
terror," in part, because Bush keeps applying elastic
definitions to the enemy, most recently expanding
the conflict into a war against Muslim "radicals
and extremists."
With almost no notice in Official Washington,
Bush has inserted this new standard for judging who's an enemy
as he lays the groundwork for a wider conflict
in the Middle East and a potentially endless world war against
many of the planet's one billion adherents to
Islam.
Indeed, it could be argued that the "war on terror"
has now morphed into the "war on radicals,"
allowing Bush to add the likes of Moqtada
al-Sadr and the leaders of Syria and Iran to his
lengthening international enemies list.
Santa, hurry with that new brain.
Troops are dying every day with that brainless idiot trying to think.

Having grown up in Dallas, Everson Walls thought
he knew his way around town. Then he started
playing for the Cowboys and a third-year running
back showed him how it was really done.
They quickly built a friendship that went way
beyond being teammates. It was so much like big brother
and little brother that Springs became a regular
at Walls family gatherings. Walls has agreed to donate
a kidney to help Springs, a diabetic, regain
the quality of life he's lacked for nearly three years.
The disease already has forced the amputation
of his right foot and some toes on his left foot.
His rotting kidney has knotted his hands, bound
him to a wheelchair and forced him to endure dialysis.
Everson Walls caused me a whole lot of
grief when he played for the Cowboys.
Seems like he was always intercepting
a pass and running it back for a touchdown.
Classy thing to do - donating a kidney.
I doubt we'll ever see this again, but what the
