Blaming
the Iraqis
by Ivan Eland
consortiumnews.com
Excerpt:
Bush is raising troop levels in Iraq and blaming
Iran for Iraq's problems.
The Bush administration tried to get away with
accusing the Iranian political leadership of providing
armor-penetrating explosives to Shi'ite militias
in Iraq, but when Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs,
said he saw no evidence of such leadership involvement,
the administration quickly backpedaled.
Of course, if the Iranian leaders aren't providing
such materials and training to Shi'ite militias in Iraq,
one should wonder why not. One might forgive
even the despotic tyrants in Iran for being a little nervous.
Troops from the hostile government of the United
States have invaded and occupied countries on both sides
of Iran - Afghanistan and Iraq. If a hegemonic
foreign power had invaded Mexico, who would doubt that the
United States would aid Mexican resistance?
Iraq never asked to be invaded.
Iraq never asked to be occupied.
Bush turned a not-good situation into the world's worst hell hole.

"The Bush Administration has not only forfeited
its credibility internationally -- now it is also fighting
a losing battle on the home front. One could
be tempted to feel Schadenfreude about the spectacular
failure of this president. But a US government
that has suffered such a loss of authority is a weakness
for the whole West. Iraq, Afghanistan, the
Middle East, Iran and North Korea are the big conflicts in
international politics. Bush -- morally disavowed
and increasingly abandoned by his own party colleagues

Excerpt:
Blind to reality, Tony Blair said yesterday that
Britain could safely cut its forces in Iraq because
the apparatus of the Iraqi government is growing
stronger.
In fact the civil war is getting worse by the
day. Food is short in parts of the country. A quarter
of the population would starve without government
rations. Many Iraqis are ill because their only
drinking water comes from the highly polluted
Tigris and Euphrates rivers.
Nowhere in Mr Blair's statement was any admission
of regret for reducing Iraq to a wasteland
from which 2 million people have fled and 1.5
million are displaced internally.

Former New York Senator Alfonse D'Amato is the
Chairman of the Poker Players Alliance.
The three-term senator from New York has been
courted by the PPA to represent the interests of the online

of the Fascist Anti-Poker Act of 2006.
The new law attempts to end online betting by
American-based players. Lawyers around the country say online
gaming entrepreneurs who now take bets from American-based

Why is Harry
going to Iraq now?
I had a dark thought last night.
The Brits are pulling out troops because supposedly
their area is largely "solved", and this will
make those at home in Britland happy to see the
beginning of a draw down.
But what if this is just a feint? Sorta like intentionally
falling back in the middle of your line
to draw in the enemy and surround them, leaving
no way out?
A chunk of Brit forces are pulling out, but Prince
Harry's unit is going IN in spite of that.
And WHERE is he going?
To patrol the Iraqi-Iranian border to stop supposed
shipments of IED's from Iran.
So what if Harry is a sacrificial lamb?
What if the warmongers are COUNTING on him getting
killed?
Having Diana's son killed is sure to piss off
people, and perhaps the Prince's murder would
provide the U.S. with an excuse to invade Iran,
you know, "In defense of our coalition partner's interests...."
You think the media is in a maudlin, morose frenzy
over Anna Nicole?
Oh the coverage of Harry's death would make that
PALE in comparison.
That, combined with some other rigged event to
whip up support would be all that they needed.
It's a twisted thought I realize, but look who
we're dealing with.
And to this the rumors that Harry is actually
not Charles's son, " Some royalists don't believe Harry
is a true prince anyway given his striking resemblance
to James Hewitt, Diana's lover around the time
of his conception......... So if he goes down,
he goes down as hero rather than a half-breed party boy...

to Be a Senator?
Bart-
YES.
Nobody who voted for this is fit for any public
office at all.
(Like Obama, Franken didn't have a vote to cast.)
Nobody who thought they would have voted for it
but didn't have the opportunity is fit, either.
This is MASS MURDER FOR PROFIT, a point you bring
home EVERY DAY.
Accidentally voting in favor of mass murder
for profit is two hair's breadths away from
committing mass murder for profit, doing it on
purpose is only one. Even as an honest mistake,
a mistake of such consequence should be career
ending.
In Hillary's case, of course, it was no mistake
at all, just "homocidal opportunism".

Subject: Hillary and the war
Dear Bart,
Hillary voted for Bush's war.
Unlike, say Senator Edwards, she has yet to admit
she was wrong to do so.
Voters like myself rightfully hold that against
her. She can say she was misled by Bush,
but unless she now admits she was wrong, Hillary
is a [litany of insults]
She voted for Bush's War and she refuses to recant.
Radlini
So if she said, "I
was wrong," you'd vote for her?
From the string of personal insults, my guess
is no.
So why demand that she apologize when it changes
nothing?
Any chance someone could answer that simple question?

We're still campaigning with flowers in our hair.
We're still looking for inspiration and untarnished purity.
We want to be better than they are. Wake up!
It's a world of Dick Cheney and Karl Rove, liars and killers
and plunderers and thieves. Inspirational? Do
we have to lose again?
Give me a shark. Give me a veteran. Obama later,
Hillary now. We cannot build before we get someone
in there to clear and hold. We need someone who
can go down there and drag them up by their combovers.
Every negative word I hear spoken against Hillary
sounds to me only like a positive; tough, old school, cold,
an insider. Great!! Let those senators whom you
and I know to be slimy cowards shiver at her approach.
Hillary can take it all, she HAS taken it. They
know that, and they want anyone but Hillary. They'll never be
able to play their game against her. She's survived
more than they ever could, with their untested jello backbones.
They can't touch her. She scares them, the way
all smart, capable women scare calcified cowards and bullies.
I don't care if she's likeable or warm, I have
dogs for that. And as a bonus, how sweet it would be to see
Bill Clinton walking back up those steps, smiling
at the tiny bastards who so shamefully tried to destroy a man
whose small personal lie did not kill over three
thousand Americans and one million Iraqis.
Why do we hate the professionals?

If the politically convenient thing to do is apologize,
than why won't Hillary say it was wrong?
She would win more votes on the far left from
those who want us out of Iraq.
Could it be that she is standing up for principal
and did what she felt
was right for the country with the information
she had?
The more I hear the Hillary bashers the more I
would love to see her win the nomination
and stick a big Clinton foot up the BFEE's ass.
Brian in Lindstrom, MN
Brian, your second sentence is the mistake.
Those who demand an apology, I suspect, are not sincere.
An apology is not going to change their minds - they just want to see
her grovel.
They wouldn't vote for the Democratic front-runner under any
circumstances.
They would rather have four more years of the hell we have now and that's
puzzling to me.

For the speaker-impaired:
Since moving Israel to a peaceful place like Oklahoma is the worst

our only choices are protecting them in their hostile

I wouldn't characterize Franken's position as "hypersensitive."
I'd characterize it more like, "Concern for the lives of people
of his faith."

Hello sir
Do accept my sincere apologies if my mail does
not meet your personal ethics.
Some people would tell you that bar is set very
low...
I will introduce myself as Mr tony wilson, a staff
in the accounts management
section with one of the prime Banks here in the
United Kingdom
Why did this big bank hire a guy with such poor
writing skills?
One of our accounts with holding balance of (Ten
Million Dollars) have been dormant
Oh, it have, have it?
and have not been operated for the past four (5)
years.
ha ha
So which is it? Four or five?
This big UK bank lets you handle millions of
dollars
when you can't tell the difference between four
and five?
From my investigations and confirmations, the
owner of this account,
You had to investigate to confirm the owner of
an account at your own bank?
In America, you need an ID to open an account
with (Ten Million Dollars)
a foreigner by Name Christian Eich died in July,
2000 see this:
http: //news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/859479.stm
and since then nobody has done anything as regards
the claiming of this money
because he has no family members who are aware
of the existence of neither the
account nor the funds.
So, he has no family members, and so you thought
you'd write to Ol' Bart,
because you heard that I was a decent and honest
American who might help?
I have secretly discussed this matter with a senior
official of this company
and we have agreed to find a reliable foreign
partner to deal with.
Ain't nobody more reliable than Ol' Bart...
We thus propose to do business with you, standing
in as the next of kin of
these funds from the deceased and funds released
to you after due processes
have been followed.you will take twenty percent
of the money.
If you send me (Ten Million Dollars) why the fuck
would I give you (Eight Million Dollars) back?
No, I would keep that money and since my Kung
Fu is most powerful,
you would be nothing more than wet saurcraut
in my hands trying to get your share.
By the way, where's the rest of your e-mail?
You sent that first half of a horseshit

You need to contact your spam provider and get
your money back.
My advice?
Find an American sixth grader to upgrade your presentaion.

Excerpt:
But [Hillary] is clearly this campaign's Beltway
piñata, a calculating phony like Gore. Recently, a voter asked her
why she hadn't called her Iraq vote a mistake.
Reporters for the New York Times and WaHoPo knew what to do.
They paraphrased her answer and guessed at her
motive. "Mrs. Clinton," the Times reported, "stuck to a set of
talking points that she hopes will overcome the
antiwar anger.." Here's the transcript of what Clinton actually said:
"Knowing what I know now, I would never have
voted for it. I have taken responsibility for my vote. The mistakes
were made by this president, who misled this
country and this Congress into a war that should not have been waged."
How much does Clinton's position differ from those
of Obama and Edwards, depicted as her main rivals?
Hardly at all, in practical terms. But you'd
never know that if you follow the spin.

What would happen if She apologized for her

The answer is nothing EXCEPT the people who hate

but how would that save any lives or prevent
any more maimings in Iraq?
It doesn't, but then the talk radio Nazis get
audio of Her saying, "I was wrong."
How does that make our soldiers any safer?
Would a Hillary apology make the Hillary haters

How would you suggest she "take responsibility?"

What would be the point?
Its not insurmountable, but the mountain gets
