Presidents since the Cold War have used nuclear deterrents to keep the peace, and I dont believe
any president should make blanket statements with the regard to use or non-use, Sen. Clinton said on
Aug. 2, chastising Obama for saying the idea of attacking terrorists with nuclear weapons was not on the table.
However, Obamas position foreswearing nuclear attacks on non-nuclear adversaries appears to be more
in line with President Clintons policy than Sen. Clintons position. In the 1990s, as part of a non-proliferation
strategy, the Clinton administration adopted a policy of no nuclear first strikes against non-nuclear states.
"Leahy and other liberals are busy dismissing concerns about voter fraud, no doubt in an effort to make certain the Justice Department drops the issue as a priority before the 2008 election. But the blunders and politicization of parts of the Bush Justice Department notwithstanding, voter fraud deserves to be investigated and prosecuted. -- John Fund, who beats women, Link

Hillary refused Saturday to forsake campaign donations from lobbyists, turning aside challenges
from her two main rivals with a rare defense of the special interest industry.
A lot of those lobbyists, whether you like it or not, represent real Americans, they actually do,
Clinton said, drawing boos and hisses from liberal bloggers at the second Yearly Kos convention.
Despite their own infatuations with special interest money, Edwards and Obama put Clinton on the spot.
At Yearly Kos, I think Hillary would be booed if she said she liked puppies and apple pie.

Are you laughing yet? Maybe not. No one died in Watergate. This time around, the White House lying
and cover-ups have been not just in the service of political thuggery but to gin up a gratuitous war without end.
There is another significant difference as well. Washington never drank the Nixon Kool-Aid. It kept a skeptical
bipartisan eye on Tricky Dick throughout his political career, long before the Watergate complex had even been built.
The charmed Mr. Bush, by contrast, got a free pass; both Democrats and Republicans in Congress and both liberals
and conservatives in the news media were credulous enablers of the Iraq fiasco.
Subject: Congress votes away our Civil Liberites - Again!
Some people object to the words "Under God" in our Pledge of Allegiance but find the words
"Liberty and Justice for all" even more offensive. Tonight Congress voted away our liberty so they
could start their summer vacation without delay. They voted to let Bush spy on us without a warrant.
I am disgusted on a level I've never experienced before.
Please quit calling America a free nation when we give up our freedom by voting it away. I feel as if I
should burn a flag but I question if the flag it worthy of burning because it no longer stands for anything.
Our soldiers in Iraq are not even dying for the illusion of freedom anymore. We are a nation of dishonest cowards.
If the Democrats can't stand up to Bush how the hell are they going to stand up to terrorists?
Bin Laden is free and we aren't. The terrorists are laughing at us tonight.
They say they hate us because we're free. That reason is now gone.
"I can officially reveal that Bush seemed energized, optimistic, focused, articulate, (He's lying) comfortable and totally in command. Anyone who doubts that he enjoys the Presidency this war has never seen him in the White House. He told us: 'I like the atmosphere in the Oval Office.'" -- Michael Medved, liar and whore, after meeting Der Monkey, Link

The most self-controlled figure in Democratic politics, Hillary Clinton, seemed to know from the outset
that she was walking into a trap. The cavernous ballroom of the Hyatt Regency was filled with about
1,500 liberal bloggers and activists -- the so-called Kossacks, the former Deaniacs, the people-powered
Joe Lieberman-bashers. So when the loud boos finally arrived, a full hour into the Democratic presidential
debate, and two hours after her arrival at the convention, all she could do was smile.
"I've been waiting for this," she told the crowd. "This gives us a real sense of reality with my being here."
Then something happened: The crowd started to laugh. Then it cheered."
Can you just dream of that encounter? I'm a 5'4" woman and I'd tell him to his

I could hurt that flabby bastard.

Contest - What would you do/say to that piece of excrement turd blossom if you had a chance encounter with the scum of the planet, who makes us all less safe by outing a beautiful CIA agent?
I've never been arrested but depending on my mood at that moment, it might be the first time.

Holy Hypocrisy! A family-values preaching Baptist Minister arrested for DUI and indecent exposure.
Police said 58-year-old Tommy Tester of Bristol, Va., was wearing a skirt when he was arrested last week
after allegedly relieving himself in front of children at a car wash. A report also accuses Tester of offering cops
oral sex and says an open bottle of vodka and empty oxycodone prescription bottle was found in his car.
Tester as the minister of Gospel Baptist Church in Bristol and an employee of Christian radio station WZAP-AM.
WZAP issued a statement asking for prayers and saying Tester has been suspended during an investigation.
Again and again, we see those who condemn sex are most enslaved by it.
Drunken preacher wearing a skirt, high on Pigboy's heroin, trying to blow a cop,

There is the idea floating around that Bush let Osama escape from Tora-Bora in exchange for
his not attacking the US again. This, according to the theory, was brokered by the Saudi Royal Family.
That would explain why we haven't been hit when we know they could hit us if they wanted to.
The question is - why don't they?
What gave a little credence, in my mind, to this notion is one of the tenants of Islam (I read it in a history
of the Crusades). In the Muslim world if your enemy asks for a truce you must accept it and respect it for 10 years.
The Saudis would be aware of this and the reason it makes sense is that we havent been attacked
in this country despite the fact that we have proven to have prepared little and are woefully unprepared.
The truce wouldnt cover Iraq or Afghanistan as he is still able to fight in self defense
and would cover all of Ws preznetcy. .

To Andrew R: What did you think was so great about Bill Clinton?
You mean besides the eight years of peace and prosperity?
Plus the stock market tripled under Clinton, and unlike the Bushes before and after him,
Clinton didn't have to pardon his co-conspirators to stay out of prison.
Was it because he provided fodder for your water cooler gossip sessions?
Every Clinton supporter has a middle name, and it's "moron".
That's only true if peace and prosperity are bad things.

Last week the market was dizzier than dubya trying to play Scrabble. We are in the heart of the second quarter
earnings season and it seems that we have a crisis on our hands. The crisis stems from one word SUBPRIME.
This started because people who shouldnt have been given mortgages were given them hand over fist by overeager
bankers and mortgage brokers. Many of these loans and mortgages were given on a no-documentation or no-doc basis.
This means that the borrower didnt provide proof that they even made any money, they were just given the loan
on their word. Now they cant pay them back and the lenders are now screwed.

For years now all we've heard about is how Hillary Clinton is polarizing and unelectable. That she would
never win the national election. It's time to lay this myth to rest once and for all and demonstrate just how
easily she could become the next U.S. president. To win, she needs 270 electoral votes. In 2004, Kerry
received 251. His near-win occurred at a time when Bush's popularity and support for the Iraq war was
much higher, and when he was still able to tap his post-911 currency while effectively playing the terrorism
card. It was also before the GOP was rocked by unrelenting scandal. In short, Bush, the Republican party
and the country was in a much different place.

Judas asked for viewers to call in and say who won.
Bart, at 10 AM EST, Congressman Ron Paul (R-Tex) was winning the debate with over 1,000 votes.
Mitt Romney was next with 106. After the debate at approximately 11:10 AM EST when the tally was rechecked,
ABC showed Ron Paul had just 445 votes. Second was Nobody Won. Im Voting Democratic.

I wouldn't put it past Whore ABC to rig the voting.
America's whore media loves Fascist dogs.
The first time Ron Paul spoke, he said Bush's war was "illegal and it's time to bring them home,"
which caused a huge roar of approval from this allegedly Republican crowd.

So, Ahmahandjob is just kidding when he says he wants to nuke Israel?.
Excerpt:
Hillary Clinton has raised the possibility of a nuclear strike.
It would be a disaster for America to launch a nuclear attack, as Hillary suggestsr.
When he rules out a nuclear attack, Obama is 100 percent right and when Hillary says she might do it,
she is 100 percent wrong and for 100 percent the wrong reasons: her endless maneuvering and positioning.
If there is actionable intelligence about Bin Laden in Afghanistan or Pakistan it would be proper to kill him
through attacks via missiles or air power.
However, it would be a disaster to send American ground forces into Pakistan for such an attack.
It would be a catastrophe of worldwide dimension for the United States to launch a nuclear attack.
I don't know Brent Budowsky, but odds are he has 100 IQ points on me, so his attack puzzles me.
From my grasp of the situation (That's a qualifier) his attack is ...unnecessary.
The way I heard this story (That's another qualifier) all Hillary said was, "It's never a good idea to declare certain options are off the table."
I've always respected Brent's positions, because Bob Parry posts his stuff on consortiumnews.com
but if Brent paints Hillary as "nuclear crazy," I predict he will fail to sway the majority of Demo voters.
Maybe Brent's one of those Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton haters, but in 2008 our options are:
As a registered Democrat I am sickened by your gutless behavior in dealing with the Bush Administration.
You are despicable in your craven disregard for everything our Founding Fathers passed on to us.
As much as I despise the fascists on the right, they at least believe in something and are willing to fight for it
(no matter how misguided it is). You, however, are beneath contempt. You know what is right but you refuse to act.
Is it out of fear? Is it out of greed? No matter, you are nothing but Republicans Lite...... without the balls.
When the end comes to our American Dream, YOU will be held responsible. YOU will go down in history
as the one's that lacked the courage to fight our democracy's enemies, ..... both foreign and DOMESTIC.
You shall be remembered as the American Quislings, who willingly enabled those who would do us harm.....
Shame on you.

Ashcroft's Justice Department fought against. So, Democrats won't fight nearly as hard as John Ashcroft

This is really sickening."
"Paul Greengrass should direct every action thriller. The world of movies would be better for it. His masterful direction of The Bourne Ultimatum (* * * * out of four) makes this third installment unequivocally the summer's best "threequel." I agree - great movie - but I did have one small complaint.
First thing, we always go to the first showing on Sunday because there's never a crowd.
There was a crowd yesterday and that hasn't happened since I've been doing this page.
My complaint? We had to move farther away from the screen because of the jiggly camerawork.
I understand shaking the camera when you're running down the street while bullets are whizzing past
your head, but why do they jiggle the camera when two people are having coffee in a quiet diner?
That makes no sense to me.
But if you want to see the best action thriller of 2007, this is your movie. Funny that Matt Damon can
play this character so well and play the bungling fool in Ocean's Twelve - the guy they make fun of.
I can only think of two other men who can do that: Anthony Anderson and Joe Pesci

Most estimates to repair the infrastructure are in the range of one to two trillion dollars.
Both the Iraq War and the infrastructure cost needs may be higher than estimated at this time.
The infrastructure needs are mostly repairs to bridges, roads, railroads, harbors and public utilities.
The cost of the Iraq War would have largely met these essential needs.
Spending the money here would have saved American jobs and prevented inevitable future deaths
resulting from the inevitable future failures of key infrastructure components. The horror we just witnessed
with the collapse of the interstate bridge in Minnesota will become much more common because of the
waste of taxpayer money in Iraq.
