"The press was lax early on when Bush led the
country into war, but It's been good since then." --
Carl Bernstein, out of touch like Dennis Miller, on why he's investigating
Hillary's
jay-walking while ignoring the global genocide Bush felonies, Link
Excerpt: On a global level, the world reads about trigger-happy
Blackwater "security contractors" mowing down civilians
in Baghdad, the U.S. military killing unarmed
people under loose "rules of engagement" in both Afghanistan and Iraq,
and the CIA "rendering" suspected Islamists to
secret prisons or to third-country dungeons where torture is practiced.
Inside the United States, too, a police-state
mentality is taking hold. After more than six years of having dissent against
Bush equated with disloyalty, police from Capitol
Hill to college campuses are treating vocal disagreement as grounds
for violently "taking down" citizens, while bouncers
at campaign rallies hustle away prospective hecklers and police
preemptively detain protesters or stick them
in faraway "free-speech zones." Andrew
Meyer got tasered.
In this version, Kerry can be heard talking while
Meyer is still in the room being tasered,
which makes Kerry a liar for saying all this
happened when he wasn't there.
Inside the Beltway, it seems there's little political
mileage in standing up for traditional American values,
such as the rule of law or even the Founders'
historic concept of inalienable rights for all mankind.

Excerpt: Bush again called Democrats "irresponsible" for
wanting to pass a children's health insurance program.
"Democrats in Congress have decided to pass a
bill they know will be vetoed because I hate kids," Bush said
of the measure that draws significant bipartisan
support. "Members of Congress are just trying to pass health
coverage for poor children purely to make a political
point."
In the Democrat's response, Pennsylvania Gov.
Ed Rendell turned the tables on the president, saying that
if Bush doesn't sign the bill, 15 states will
have no funding left for the program by the end of the month.
Excerpts: Country music has thrived for years as the soundtrack
to redneck America, supplying the bloody Fascists with
a diet of knee-jerk jingoism that has included
flag-waving anthems supporting the war on terror. Till now.
No one has moved further than Toby Keith and
Darryl Worley.
In 2002, Keith had a huge hit with Courtesy
of the Red, White and Blue, which includes the lyric:
"You'll be sorry that you messed with the US
of A, 'cause we'll put a boot in your ass - it's the American Way."
Worley's Have You Forgotten in 2003 justified
the Iraq invasion as a response to 9-11.
The military liked it so much he was presented
with a flag that had flown over the Pentagon.
Now Keith says he is a lifelong Democrat and has
claimed he never supported the war, while Worley
has had a hit with I Just Came Back from a
War, about post-traumatic stress disorder.
Tim McGraw (D-Clinton fan) has a hit with If
You're Reading This, about a dead soldier's last letter home,
and the Dixie Chicks, boycotted in 2003, won
five Grammy Awards this year.
I always likened him to just the piano player
in the Whore House.
Not directly responsible for people getting fucked
but supportive of the action none the less.
Keep slamming em.
Greg
Greg, I get your point, but they used Powell's credibility to sell the
war.
Powell gave us his Nancy Grace Guarantee that Iraq had
WMDs.
He said he had satellite pictures, he knew where they were stored,
etc.
He's a goddamn liar who got 3800 soldiers killed and yet,
Washington DC and Leno-ish bastards treat him like a hero.
"The war is an immoral abomination that we'll
pay for for decades to come. We're paying for it now at the rate
of 100 kids a month while Bush plays politics with it." --
John Grisham, Link
"Federal prosecutors have charged Norman Hsu
with breaking campaign finance laws and cheating investors out of millions of dollars
in a $60 million Ponzi scheme...Hsu has raised money for several Democratic candidates, but
most substantially for Hillary."
-- Political Ticker, Link
Interesting Fact: The prosecutor charged with bring Hsu
to justice
also got a political contribution from Hsu.
"You can have a meeting with a member of Congress
if you donate to Hillary's campaign. What she's saying is she's willing
to sell special access to the government. Just send a check."
-- Elizabeth Edwards,Link
Maybe Elizabeth is being misquoted here, because she makes no sense.
John Edwards has never been to Casa de Bart - you know why?
Because I haven't given him $100,000.
John Edwards has never eaten at the same dinner table as Ol' Bart -
you know why?
Because I haven't given him $10,000.
John Edwards has never been in a private cocktail party with Ol' Bart
- you know why?
Because I haven't given him $1,000.
John Edwards has never shaken my hand - you know why?
Because I haven't given him $100.
But somehow, Hillary is selling access to government officials?
Elizabeth acts like Politics was money-free until Hillary got into the
race.
Could an Edwards fan explain?
I'm still working on the idea of the Reality Revolution
as a secular version of the Church of Reality.
I've begun building a web site and looking for
ideas and/or people to take on the project and run with it.
I've installed Drupal on the site and I'm going
to rough out the basic ideas. Here's a link to my start.
Once I lay the foundation for this idea I'm looking
for the rest of you to take it over. So we need to have
some sort of an infrastructure for people to
collaborate and create the revolution. So looking for web talent
with design and Drupal experience and still looking
for more Reality Revolution artwork.
Hopefully people will be able to post their artwork
and the marketplace of ideas will produce some winners.
So - who has ideas? Let's talk about it here.
I received another letter from the DEA regarding
the religious use of Marijuana by the Church of Reality.
I had sent them a 60 day demand letter about
5 weeks ago and they responded assuring me that they are
working hard on our application. I replied with
a lot of questions that are basically setting them up for
a lawsuit in case they decide to stall. The 60
demand is a prelude to a lawsuit but I don't have to sue
at the end of 60 days. It just gets a step out
of the way. I'm trying to get DEA to reveal where they are
in the process and get them to either admit that
we qualify or to point out problems where we don't.
It is also possible that we qualify on a level
they never saw before and that they are trying to create policies
and procedures to deal with it. It is also possible
that political forces have intervened to delay our approval.
My letter is carefully written to try to figure
out where they are, or if they don't reply then will give us
an advantage in court due to their silence.
A copy of my letter and discussion can be found
here:
War, what is it good for? If the President is corrupt, billions and billions
of stolen dollars.
Randi Rhodes said for every dollar we send to
Iraq, about 40% is diverted to pockets
that don't belong to our military such as Blackwater
and Halliburton.
They say this is a two trillion dollar war (non-counting
future military benefits)
so Bush and his cronies have stolen about 800
billion dollars.
Excerpt: At the core of the rot destroying the American
Republic are the many false narratives that have
replaced the nation's real history. The Right
has proved adept at creating these alluring story lines
and selling them through a sophisticated media
apparatus, while the mainstream press goes silent
or plays along. In this guest essay, poet Phil
Rockstroh explores what false reality can do to a nation.
Bart, have you lost what little brains you were
born with?
Let me suggest that you take a lesson from Marc
Perkel, a frequent contributor to this site.
While I may disagree with some of his positions,
I find him to be logical, circumspect,
well-spoken (written) and civil in presenting
his points of view.
However, your comments when laced with numerous
F-bombs, undermines any attempts at serious discussion
and tends to add credence to the notion of low
double digit IQ, devoid of any semblence of humor.
Take a gauge of your reading audience and consider
making a few course corrections.
You can do better than this.
Best regards,
CC in FL
We rarely use the "F" word, so you must be talking about my fuck-you-bush.htm
from last issue.
That was classic Bartcop.
You want me to go easy on these thieving murderers?
I heard Keith Olbermann attack Bush the other day and he used a bunch
of words that
I didn't recognize and couldn't spell so I can't look them up to find
out what he said.
(He said something like "Bush's meticulous malfeasence was manifest." I'd have to to go back to college to find out that that f-ing
means.)
Olbermann has his $500 words and I have my 50-cent words.
I can't use $500 words - I don't know what they mean.
So, here we've got the toughest son of a bitch
in the presidential race, (DA, mob busting, FOB
(Friend of Bernie ) etc) and he has to stop in
the middle of his speech to the gun slingers to talk to his wife?
"Honey, it's me. Can you stop and get a
quart of non fat milk and a new fur coat for me on your way home?"
Well back in the day, we had a word for men like
that, and that word was pussy whipped.

Excerpt: On Wednesday, The New York Whore Times published
a photo album from the Auschwitz death camp,
showing carefree men and women of the SS singing
and sunbathing during time off from superintending mass murder.
The next day, the cable channels ran wall-to-wall
coverage of thousands of people who had descended on
a small Louisiana town, in the biggest civil
rights protest march seen in the US since the 1960s.
Remarkable events both, but with one glaring difference.
The crimes of the Nazis are a thing of the past,
those photos a ghastly reminder of the banality
of an evil that once was. But what drew the marchers to Jena
was proof that a century and a half after the
Civil War, and 40 years after the climax of the civil rights struggle,
race discrimination lives on in the US.
I really can't believe that I'm reading people
justifying this.
"Police officers have families.." are
you f*ing kidding me?
Buddy, if you're threatened by a 140 pound book
wielding kid, when you have him outnumbered 6 to 1,
then it seems to me that you're in the wrong
line of work. Rudeness!, and in college of all places!
Bart, I think that it comes down to this; the
country is in a profound state of self inflicted denial.
Everybody knows how f*ed up things are, but they
fervently hope that this is going to pass
after the next election, and things will go right
back to normal.
The only thing that outrages them is when somebody
tries to make them look past their delusions.
Excerpt: The FBI, working with a crooked Alaska oil contractor,
secretly taped telephone calls with
Sen. Ted Stevens as part of a public corruption
sting, according to people close to the investigation.
The secret recordings suggest the Justice Department
was eyeing Stevens long before June, when the
Republican senator first publicly acknowledged
he was under scrutiny. At that time, it appeared Stevens
was a new focus in a case that had already ensnared
several state lawmakers.
Corrupt and wealthy, businessman Bill Allen agreed
to the taping last year after authorities confronted him
with evidence he had bribed Alaska lawmakers.
He pleaded guilty to bribery and is a key witness against
Alaska legislators. He also has told prosecutors
he paid his employees to renovate the senator's house.
Bart, do the people understand that MoveOn.org
ad was a question?
And since there was the word OR, it meant
take this as a choice, so all those
lame brain Democrats chose to read the ad in
the negative along with the slimey republicans.
JB
I agree - the question was, "Will we get the
truth?" and the answer was no.
Harry Reid needs a new job - one that doesn't
affect our future.
He's a nice guy, but he's weak and he's stupid
and this is life and death.
We need a wartime consiglieri if we want to win
this war.
(Nancy Pelosi is another one - what's she done
beside take impeachment off the table?)
Reid is a dismal failure. It's time for him to
go, so let's make some noise and force him out.
We need to go into the 2008 election ready for
battle and Harry Reid is not up to the task.
Here's what you can do:
E-mail
MoveOn.org and ask that they initiate a call for Reid to step down.
Stop
giving money to Democrats and give your money to MoveOn and
bartcop.com
instead.
Let the Dems know that you
are sick of Harry Reid and his surrender tactics and that they won't get
any of your money until they
get a fighter in charge of the senate.
Write letters
to the editor that call for Harry Reid to step down.
Post messages
on high traffic sites like Daily Kos and Demo Underground
to dump Reid.
Call your
senator and demand that Reid step down. Get phone #s at http://www.senate.gov Permalink
to this from your blog and/or copy it to your blog

I think we'll elect a Democratic president, but
she'll need 67 senators on her side to get stuff done.
With Reid in charge, the senate could lose
members because they refuse to fight back
Recently, a dude wrote to say he moved to Peru - I asked him why
Subject: My move to Lima
Bart,
The most important reason was because I had been
working in an office full of delusional right wing nut
social retards for eight years, and I was sick
of it. I had to listen to their bullshit lies every day, but I was
forbidden from voicing my opinions. If
I said anything to counter their lies. an argument would always follow.
Naturally, I was the bad guy when that happened
because the arguments were always viewed as my fault.
I am now working for an American company doing
consulting for the mining industry, which is booming
these days. There are only a handful of
Americans working in the office, zero of which are right wing nuts.
It is an absolute pleasure to be able to have
an intelligent discussion about important issues, including politics,
without having to listen to a regurgitated neocon
lies.
Here in Peru, people understand the truth about
the Bush administration, and they cannot understand how
they have been allowed to stay in power.
For example, when I go to a bar, people want to talk to me
because I am an American. When I tell them
I hate Bush, I have a room full of friends!
Ron C
This is not a time when Democrats can afford Harry
Reid He is pathetic beyond belief.
It is as if the Democrats are trying to out-stupid
Bush. If that is their goal they are succeeding!
I am calling on people to pressure the Democrats
to replace Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed with real leaders.
We need people like John Murtha to lead the House
and Jim Webb or Russ Feingold to lead the Senate.
Until the Democrats select real leadership I'm
giving my money to MoveOn.org and bartcop.com.
I'm asking everyone who is against the war to
do the same.
Write MoveOn.org and ask them to run ads calling
for Democrats to change leadership.
If we can't make Democrats see the light then
we will make them feel the heat!

Heavy Metal goes AARP
We do not approve of the notion that rock-and-roll
bands can just go on into their golden years.
Heavy Metal bands should not be performing long
enough so that the "heavy" part relates more
to their body weights than their sound.
So here are some suggestions how Led Zeppelin
can update its songs for the upcoming reunion concert.
Old song title: Stairway to Heaven
New song title: Elevator to Heaven
Stop! You're too funny!
Old song title: Immigrant Song
New song title: Immigrant Mows My Lawn
Oh, my sides are hurting from laughing so much!
Old song title: I Can't Quit You, Baby
New song title: I Can't Hear You, Baby
It's a deaf joke - those always kill!
Old song title: Dazed and Confused
New song title: Dazed and Confused at the Walgreens
When's the last time you saw shit-writing this bad?
This guy makes Dennis Miller look clever (not a compliment)
For some reason, music writers are the worst writers in all of writer-dom.
Maybe it's easier to knock some has-beens when you're a never-was?
Hey, Shithead, getting old is a good thing.
If you get real, real lucky, even a no-talent mook like you could get
old some day.
But as bad as you are now, how can we mock your fall when you were
never anybody?
How could the Palm Beach Post hire someone this bad?
Excerpt: Members of a Christian theater troupe are spreading
the word that they're irate about
Kathy Griffin's humor when accepting a creative
arts Emmy earlier this month.
In a time when our soldiers in Iraq can't afford
armor, The Miracle Handjob
spent $90,440
on
a full-page ad in USA Whore Today Monday, proclaiming "enough is enough."
"Although others may choose to use their national
platform to slander our God, (slander?
)
we are honored as professional entertainers to
stand for Christ."
Griffin's comments have also drawn ire from the
Catholic
League, a child-sex group
that called on the Academy to denounce the humor
of that night's Emmy winner.
Griffin issued a statement: "Am
I the only Catholic left with a sense of humor?"
Wait, you handjobs spent $90,440
to say you're better Christians than Kathy Griffin?
Kathy would've told you that to your face for 1/3 of that.
