"Religion has convinced people that there's
an invisible man living in the sky,
who watches everything you do every minute
of every day. And the invisible man
has a list of ten specific things he doesn't
want you to do. And if you do any of
these things, he will send you to a special
place, of burning and fire and smoke
and torture and anguish for you to live forever,
and suffer and burn and scream
until the end of time. But
he loves you ...and he needs your money!

Obama's
Big Lead
They say he's so far ahead he doesn't need Hillary
Link
- again with no perma-link - how retarded, Salon.com
Excerpt:
A new LATimes/Bloomberg poll shows Obama with
a big lead -- 12 points, to be exact.
Now, that's a high number. In fact, it's a noticeably
wider margin than that found by several other
recent polls. Then again, this is the second
poll released within one week that's found a double-digit
margin between Obama and Grandpa McCain. The
first one, a Newsweek poll released last Friday
that showed a 15-point Obama lead, could be written
off as an outlier.
With this second one out, though, it might be
time to take these numbers seriously -- or, at least,
as seriously as it's worth taking any poll conducted
this far away from Election Day in any race.
I agree with those numbers - who wants four more years of Bush?
But we can't assume those numbers are right.
We have to fight like we're behind until the whore networks
call it for our guy on election night.

Subject: Response on Russert
Hey, Bart. Just read your response to my
email (was out of town all weekend).
I do understand your point, and even agree to
an extent. However, there has to be
a compromise between frankness and civility,
and I still disagree with your approach.
Thanks for making the attempt to explain, however.
No fear of cancelling my subscription - what
you do is important, and I at least
now feel like I understand how you feel what
you were doing was right.
Besides, I feel bad that your honesty has cost
you so much from those

Keep up the (95%) good work. :)

Consumer
Confidence at 16-year Low
And who was ruining the economy 16 years ago?
Link
Excerpt:
Consumer confidence fell in June to its lowest
in 16 years as high inflation continued to sap confidence
and pushed expectations for the future to a record
low. The Conference Board said its inflation
expectations gauge matched the record-high 7.7
percent it hit in May, which will keep Federal Reserve
policy makers concerned over price growth as
they meet to decide rates on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Conference Board said its measure of consumers'
mood declined to 50.4 this month -- the lowest
since 47.3 in February 1992. Economists on Wall
Street had been expecting a reading of 56.4.
The index has now dropped by more than half since
last July, when it was at 111.90. Since then,
housing troubles
(and gas prices) triggered the most severe
credit crisis in at least a decade.
Consumers made a grim assessment of their present
situation and their future prospects.
That's why voters should choose Democrats - but Democrats won't list
the reasons why.
If the pitiful Democrats weren't so world-class
stupid, they'd remember
to explain that in every election cycle, Democrats
help people and Republicans ruin
the economy by giving hueueuege
tax breaks to the already super-rich bastards.
The Piti-crats step in the same hole and break
their leg every election.

Subject: starving Amtrak
Bart, many years ago, I took Amtrak from Dayton,
OH, to Chicago.
The first leg was West-bound from Dayton to Effingham,
IL, and the train was packed.
While enjoying a beer and the ride, a conductor
came along handing out pamphlets asking
riders to contact their representatives in Congress
to urge them to not allow Amtrak to
eliminate that particular route. When I asked
the conductor why on earth they would
eliminate such a busy route, his answer was that
the official reason was "lack of riders."
I was as bewildered as that poor conductor. Today,
the route is long gone.
To get a train to Chicago now, I would have to
drive an hour to Cincinnati,
then take a train that leaves at 3am, on Wednesdays
and Saturdays only.
My guess is that some special interest lobby has
it in for the trains.
The trucking industry, bus lines, the auto industry,
the rubber tire manufacturers,
maybe even the oil companies, who knows.
Congress has long refused to adequately fund Amtrak
or Conrail, sometimes saying they
can't justify spending millions on a train subsidy.
But all interstate highways and all public
airports in this country were built on subsidies.
Amtrak and Conrail just can't lobby.
Mike in Ohio
Besides little trains on vacations, I haven't ridden a real train in
40 years.
Plus, why does it cost more on a train than a jet?
Chicago to San Francisco is $280 on Amtrak, $175 on Southwest,
and you can fly Southwest for as cheap at $99 when they have
a sale.
Looks like somebody wants trains to die.

Bart, you wrote:

Mmmm Bart, Obama is not going to investigate Bush
or anyone else.
This will be him reaching across the aisle for
compromise. He will say
it is putting the past behind us and what is
best for the country.
Sorry but the Democratic nominee is such a 'lamer'.
We can only hope that Hillary will become the
leader of the senate to get anything done.
I, Pariah
But the point is he can do it in secret.
Let's say some BFEE thugs is trying to transfer some stolen oil loot
into his American checking account using his cousin's account in Dubai.
While they're on the phone, the cousin in Dubai asks about "Aunt Mary"
who, turns out, is feeling better and is about to get out of the hospital.
The next day David Axelrod calls the guy and says,
"Good news about Aunt Mary, eh?"
That lets the BFEE thug know he's been caught, but he can't
say anything because he was committing a crime at the time.
That's probably a tool the Bush bastards are using now
to coerce the spineless/sacless weenie Democrats.
If the Democrats had any brains (Should I bother to finish?)
they'd
assume every phone call, every e-mail and every banking transaction
by every Democrat is being watched by the Bush bastards.
There's only one reason to fight to avoid keeping spying records
and that's so nobody ever finds out who you're spying on.
Why can't the Democrats sell that to the public?

McCain guy:

Excerpt:
McCain adviser Charlie Black expressed regret
Monday for telling Fortune Magazine that
a terrorist attack on U.S. soil would be "a big
advantage" for super-old Republican nominee.
"Certainly it would be a big advantage to
him," Black told Fortune Magazine.
The Obama campaign chided Black, calling his remarks
"a complete disgracce."
"The fact that John McCain's top advisor says
that a terrorist attack on American soil would
be a 'big advantage' for their political campaign
is a complete disgrace, and is exactly the kind
of politics that needs to change," said Obama
spokesman Bill Burton.
It'd take a real monster to help McCain by setting off a bomb

Feingold:
FISA a mistake, Bush broke the law
Russ, you could filibuster - why
not act instead of whine about it?
Link
Excerpt:
In a press conference, Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI)
outlined the recent Feingold-Hagel bill proposing
the creation of an independent intelligence commission
and also admitted his outrage at the revised
Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)
that passed the House last week and is expected to pass the Senate.
After explaining the need for a commission to
assess and improve intelligence gathering procedures,
Sen. Feingold took questions that immediately
went to FISA. When asked what he thought about
those willing to sign the bill, Feingold expressed
deep disappointment and frustration.
"This legislation gets it totally wrong," he said.
He acknowledged that the primary source of
media attention has been immunity for the telecommunications
companies, something he calls a "farce."
He feels the rest of the bill, however, is equally
if not more reprehensible.
"The president ran an illegal program -- equivalent
to an impeachable offense," he said, later adding,
"I'm blue in the face already trying to
tell people this has happened to you."
So Russ, instead of doing your best Smurf impression, why
not block it?
Why is Jim Inhofe (R-Pissquik) the only senator with veto power in
this country?
Republicans act, Democrats cry and complain.
How did I get stuck in the sacless weenie party?
Feingold
Will maybe, sorta Filibuster FISA?
Maybe he heard me complaining about our sacless Dems?
Link
Excerpt:
Amy Goodman: Senator Feingold, will you
filibuster this bill?
Sen. Russ Feingold: We are going to resist
this bill. We are going to make sure that the
procedural votes are gone through. Senator Dodd
and I and others will be taking some time
to talk about this on the floor. We're not just
going to let it be rubberstamped.
Amy Goodman: Would you filibuster, though?
Sen. Russ Feingold: That's what I just
described.
So Russ, why use mealy-mouth,
John Kerry words?
Why can't you speak in plain f-ing English
so you'll be understood?
Why can't you say, "I
can't allow this bad bill to
become
law so Chris Dodd and I and others
will filibuster
this bad legislation to death?"
No wonder you Democrats aren't taken seriously
by the Bush bastards.

Nice job, it must be a lot of work. I'm

Obama backs
down on Seal
FOXWhores
Excerpt:
The modified Great Seal of America - featuting
the eagle modified with the Obama logo
and "E Pluribus Unum" changed to a Latin translation
of "Yes We Can," debuted last week.
At the time, staffers indicated that it might
be used again at similar presidential-style events.
But today, after it was roundly ridiculed as
more a symbol of the campaign's arrogance than
the campaign itself, staffers said the seal has
seen it's last podium.
"This was a one time thing designed for a one
time use at the Governors meeting,"
said one traveling press aide, who also asked
"is this really worth of this much attention?"
I wish he had stood his ground. He could've answered their
horseshit harrassment in
Latin saying, "Blowme ye cuntus bitchus."

again, no permalink - why do people do
that?
Excerpt:
While many of our nation's iconoclasts mellow
with age, Carlin became even harsher.
His last few tours dealt with insidious consumerism,
and the packaging of suicide as
entertainment on cable television. His turn to
a darker humor signified a deepening
mistrust of the world. In his last HBO Special,
he made a special point of telling his
audience that the Bill of Rights are nothing
but privileges, revocable at any time by
the powers that be. It's damned near impossible
to find another lucid commentator
in America who can make such a statement, regardless
of age.
Many years ago, George did a thing about getting 2 slices of bread out
of a loaf,
how you always reach in towards the center to get the best two slices,
leaving the "bad bread" for the rest of the family you claim to love...
All these years later, whenever I get 2 slices of bread I think of him.
Oh, and it goes without saying that the Invisible Cloud Being came from

Bush is stealing up to 6 million barrels of
oil per day.
Since oil sells for $130 or more per barrel,
Bush is stealing $780,000,000
every
day.
No wonder they were so eager to start
a war,
It's the biggest theft in Earth's history.
Exxon made
$10B
$11.66
billion in profit in 90 days
Gouging
us to the tune of
$129 million
profit per day

Some people celebrate Bush's bloody oil war...
Some don't.
x 4,101....4,102
We lost another 2
soldiers since last issue.
We now have 4,103
dead soldiers.
Do you think Bush understands
that these are real people and not
pawns in his little 'steal-the-oil' game?
Remember...
Exxon
makes $108M - $128M
every day
That's why
Bush
rapedIraq
and killedSaddam!
How do we
know for sure?
Iraq's
oil wells have NO
METERS!
That's 3/4
of $1B that
goes missing
every day!
Where's that money going?
Bush has killed more Americans than Osama.

You have 2 minutes to make a statement or ask a question.
The good calls will be featured in BCR
142.
Speak loud and clear
and remember you have two minutes.
If you screw up, just start again - my software can erase the flub.
Do impressions? Here's your chance.
Got something interesting that people need to hear?
Monkey callers are welcome, but easy on the language.
You have 2 minutes and please, don't call multiple times.
If what you have to say is super-hot and takes 3-4 minutes
maybe call twice, but don't abuse the privilege, OK?
How can
a political radio show exist without callers?
If you don't call, I may have to talk about poker!
Be a part of Bartcop Radio - I'll record Thursday, so call today!
If your call gets on - get a free month of BCR!!
Remember - loud and clear - if you mumble it won't get on.

Bart -- you are the best "read" on the web!
Your integrity and strength are the only things
that have kept me going!
I don't know how to say thank you. I would have
felt so lonely these last 7 years
-- and utterly isolated during the last year
of the campaign --- without Bartcop.com.
Let's replace Reid with Hillary and Pelosi with
someone who'll impeach.
Let's support Kucinich and Wexler in their impeachment
articles!
Keep hammerin man!
