With everyone abuzz about Sarah Palin, the conservative
wet-dream Republican VP prick [pun intended],
and how utterly unqualified she is for the post--indeed,
no one in the McCain camp even bothered to find out
how unqualified she is--I am suddenly reminded
of Harriet Miers, who was put up as a Supreme Court nominee.
After she withdrew her nomination, a lot of senators
seemed to think, "well, Alito's not so bad after all, at least
compared to Miers..." Maybe McCain wants to
drop Palin in a month or so, and bring in an October Surprise
conservative VP to get his base, while allowing
more R's to vote for him because "this guy is better than Palin!"
We'll see...I'm targeting October 12 as the day.
