Palin: McCain's people are jerks and cowards

Citing unnamed McCain campaign sources, media reports said Palin did not know Africa
is a continent and did not know that the United States, Mexico and Canada are parties to

Reports also characterized Palin as a "diva" and described her throwing tantrums
in reaction to negative campaign news coverage.
 

I don't get why they are doing this.
First, it makes the McCain people look super-stupid for picking somebody that dumb.
The McCain loads are saying "We were such idiots to pick that stupid woman."

Second, it's killing her chances to be the Fascist nominee in 2012 - why do that?
Why not keep quiet, let her rise up and take control of the Reich, then McCain
can claim he was the "genius" who discovered this "hidden gem?"

But hey - don't stop stabbing each other - please continue.
I find Fascist-on-Fascist wars immensely entertaining.

Proud to be an American again

It represents a 180-degree change of direction for American policy and politics.

At least for the next eight years -- do Republicans seriously believe they can dislodge

The White House will actually be fighting for us.

We will soon have a president who supports all the issues we have worked so hard to achieve:

believes in protecting our basic freedoms and respecting the important limits on executive power enshrined

I heard someone say on FOX News that the same Americans who were booed in Europe 
the last few years are now being cheered when they enter a room.  It's like that all over the world.

Who killed the blogosphere?

would be hard pressed to make the case that there's still a "blogosphere." That vast, free-wheeling, 
and surprisingly intimate forum where individual writers shared their observations, thoughts, and 
arguments outside the bounds of the traditional media is gone. Almost all of the popular blogs today 
are commercial ventures with teams of writers, aggressive ad-sales operations, bloated sites, and 
strategies of self-linking. Some are good, some are boring, but to argue that they're part of a 
"blogosphere" that is distinguishable from the "mainstream media" seems more and more like 
an act of nostalgia, if not self-delusion.
 

 Kos the multi-gazillionaire makes so much money he's killing all of us.
 When people go to advertise on the web, most of that money goes to Kos.

 He's the Wal-Mart of the Internet, killing the mom and pop bloggers. 

 Even Hillary stupidly spent her money there - nobody hates her more than Kos.

I got Bushed... my job went away, given to someone younger, less experienced, 
and less expensive, and no one wants to hire a 42-year old 20 year veteran chef 
for an entry-level cook's position.  I had to close my apartment and move in with

I can't afford to keep them with me (I've got custody of both boys).

Thank YOU Bart for making me laugh in the aftermath of Kerry's defeat and helping me keep the faith
with Hillary and with Obama. For years I wondered why the common sense wisdom of Dr Martin Luther King Jr,
of Cornell West and of so many other intellectuals was being drowned out by platitudes and sound bites and
arguments about patriotism. D'Souza had the nerve to write an editorial on Dr King's birthday about how
Booker T Washington was more praiseworthy than Dr King. Like, who the f--- was he to choose who
our heroes should be. I was proud that my red state turned blue (Virginia.) I knew the writing was on the
wall after Webb's election to the Senate but the results were slow in coming. At the risk of being called
unpatriotic, I've got to say I'm so proud of my country again for doing the right thing!
