Quote of
the Day
"I don't really feel like I need to respond to people that view it that way."
-- Pickles, on the vast majority of Americans
who think Bush is the worst president ever, Link
"I have not heard it but I've heard of it.
I confess that I don't listen to Rush on a daily basis. On the other hand, I'm not one of these
people who, who takes myself so seriously that I get offended by every comment made about
me. What Rush does is entertainment, and I don't mind folks poking fun at me. That's
part of the job." -- Obama on Rush's "Magic
Negro" song, Link
Excerpt: Retailers face a wave of store closings, bankruptcies
and takeovers starting next month
as holiday sales are shaping up to be the worst
in 40 years.
Retailers may close 73,000 stores in the first
half of 2009, experts say. Experts predict
148,000 stores will shut down in 2008, the largest
number since 151,000 closings in 2001,
You have to remember one thing: When the whore media says, "The
worst since"
and then they give a year, ask yourself who was president at the time.
"The worst since 2001" - that would
be Bush the WPE.
"The worst since 1992" - that would
be Bush the Smarter.
"The worst since 1982" - that would
be Reagan the rapist.
When they talk about the economy,. they NEVER compare Bush to Clinton
because he'd look bad and it's the job of our whore press to degrade
Clinton
while praising the Bush bastards.
Excerpt: The daughter of Sarah Palin has given birth
to a male chupacabra.
Bristol Palin, 18, gave birth to Tripp Keshawn
Flapjack Johnston on Saturday.
He weighed 22 pounds, 4 ounces. Bristol's
grand-aunt said "the chupe and Bristol done well."
The father is either Rush Limbaugh, Karl Rove
or Levi Johnston, a local meth-head
whose mother was busted for Oxycontin last week.
Palin charmed Rethugs on the first day of NaziCon
2008,
by claiming that her unwed daughter was "in a
family way."
Palin promised her daughter "and the young man"
would get married
but that was during the campaign so she can't
be held to it.
"Even an emerging crisis in the Middle East
has not drawn Bush from his final vacation before leaving office. We have
yet to learn anything more about what is keeping the commander in chief busy, though one
can assume there is brush to be cleared, trails to be biked, and perhaps even fish to
be caught."
-- Kirit Radia, on Bush sipping lemonade while people are dying,

Dear Bart:
I am reading a new book about the BFEE by journalist
Russ Baker called “Family of Secrets.”
It is copywrited in 2009 and available at Barnes
and Noble.
I doubt you will see any mention of it in the
whore media.
It lays out the secret history of the BFEE, from
Prescott’s trading with Hitler, to their masterminding
of the JFK assassination, to their organizing
of the Watergate break-in for the purpose of framing Nixon,
to the treason known as the October Surprise,
to the Iran/Contra Scandal, to the BCCI scandal and
many events in-between. That is as far
as I have gotten.
This could easily be the most important book ever
written. While it includes much information I knew
from my own research, it adds plenty of new evidence
and facts. It proves that Poppy was in Dallas
the night before and the morning of 11-22-63.
He then flew a private plane to Tyler Texas where he
filed a phony FBI report to establish an alibi,
should one ever be needed, and then flew back to Dallas
in the pm of 11-22-63.
It proves that Poppy was not only working for
the CIA in 1963, but was working for them since at
least 1953. It shows how the BFEE phonied
up W’s military record starting from the time he joined
the Texas National Guard. It shows how
it took them 3 generations to complete Prescott’s goal of
undoing Roosevelt’s New Deal. It covers
the BFEE’s ties to the Saudi’s and the bin-Ladin family.
Please buy and read this book. Please tell
your readers about it.
The whore media is already talking in unison
about how Bush wasn’t
that bad and how he kept us safe from terrorism
since 9-11.
Excerpt: When Obama takes the oath of office at the US
Capitol, the first African-American to become
president will be standing amid stonework laid
by slaves more than two centuries ago. He will
appear before a crowd massed on the Mall, where
slaves were once held in pens, ready for auction.
He will end his inauguration route at the White
House, where the foundations were laid by slaves,
and where eight presidents held blacks as their
human property.
At nearly every turn of Obama's march to history,
the thread that deeply intertwines the founding
of the nation with its great stain, slavery,
will be evident. Yet for all the attention on Obama's racial
breakthrough, the full story of slavery in the
nation's capital remains beneath the surface.
"His father was a great athlete, a great student,
a war hero, went into the oil business and made a lot of money and then succeeded
in politics. Bush tried to emulate him and failed."
-- Jacob Weisberg, Link
Subject: RE: Obama's problems
at the hands of Democrats
Bart -
I kept my word, voting for Obama since he was
the Democratic nominee.
I've left this chicken-shit party for good, though.
I'll support the Democrats when they do the right
thing and I'll support the GOP when
THEY do the right thing (I'm your age, and I
don't think I'll see that again in their lifetime).
People are giving you too much crap for supporting
Obama - don't they understand
he's the only President we've got? Even
while that Handjob Bush is still in the White House?
Let's give him a chance - see how he governs.
There will be plenty of time for recriminations in,
say, three years or so. And I still say,
he CAN'T be worse than Chimpy McWarhardon, can he?
Let's see THAT bastard go to jail.
Keep swinging that hammer - I trust you that you
know who and what needs to be hit.

Excerpt: Katrina not only pulverized the Gulf Coast in
2005, it knocked the bully pulpit out from under Bush,
according to two advisers who spoke candidly
about the political impact of Bush's massive Katrina bungle.
"Katrina to me was the tipping point," said Matthew
Dowd, Bush's pollster. "The president broke his bond
with the public. Once that bond was broken, he
no longer had the capacity to talk to the American public.
State of the Union addresses? It didn't matter.
Legislative initiatives? It didn't matter. P.R.? It didn't matter.
Travel? It didn't matter."
Dan Bartlett, counselor to the president, said:
"Politically, it was the final nail in the coffin."
But they've never explained what happened.
The Bush bastards just sat there and watched TV instead of sending
help.
Each time they fucked up or got caught, the Bush bastards and their
whore media said,
"This is no time to play the blame game"
and then the media moved on and the Democrats
were gutless wimps who were afraid to take on a loser with a 27% approval
rating.
"When Bush officially takes his leave in three
weeks (in reality, he checked out long ago), most Americans will be content to sigh good riddance. I disagree.
I don’t think he should be allowed to slip quietly out of town. There should be a great hue and cry — a loud,
collective angry howl, demonstrations with signs and bullhorns and fiery speeches — over the damage he’s
done to this country."
Personally, I disagree with Mr. Herbert. I think
Bush should be placed under house arrest, like Bernie Madoff,
and have an ankle bracelet welded on until his
deeds and misdeeds have been thoroughly investigated and exposed.
Same goes for Cheney, Rove, and the rest of Bush's
gang. Yank their passports, freeze their assets, and cuff 'em, Danno.

"I don't have any idea. I don't follow the
polls." --
Dick Cheney, asked why he's so unpopular,Link
"He knows the reason for the hatred, but in
reality, Dick doesn’t give a sh*t. His net worth has gone from approx.
$29 mil in 2000 to what in 2008? $200 million?"
-- trollsbwild, Link
Cheney's private army stole $600 million
oil dollars per day for five years.
He has a lot more money than $200 million
dollars.
"Thieves care little about who they are stealing
from. War Criminals, even less." -- Buckie Boy, Link
> The world is never going to be perfect. Our
president is going to make mistakes. > We can always find things to complain about,
but we're getting ready to watch > the Bush bastards leave and I'm going to
give the man who beat them a break.
Bart, that pink tutu looks awful on you.

I've never understood the kool kids.
All thru 2008, the kool kids said, "Obama
is God."
Excerpt: Republicans are being raked over the coals for
a CD called We Hate the USA, which, like Team America,
lampoons liberals with such songs as Barack,
the Magic Negro. As usual, the entire concept of satire is at stake.
Peter Yarrow, who wrote Puff, the Magic Dragon,
the song satirized in Barack, the Magic Negro, says
"Obama is the President-Elect, and this song
insults the office of the Presidency, the people who voted for him."
Oh really? I can't use a children's song to make
fun of the president? A gracious but heartfelt fuck you.
I'll use Frère Jacques and Brahms'
Lullaby
to make fun of the president if I want to, and there's nothing
Peter Yarrow, Brahms, or the legal representatives
of the Jacques estate can do about it.
"What’s lower than an F? An F minus? That’s
what the Bush’s foreign policy deserves. Bush has ruined America domestically
and in the eyes of the world. And what’s worse is they didn’t do it because they were
incompetent - they did it because they’re corrupt and greedy and malicious." -- 1st Republic 14th Star,

You have been right-on about some people's issues
with Obama. I think Obama has made some
intelligent decisions thus far and he is trying
to bring all Americans to the table and not just the left fringe.
It will be so refreshing to have intelligent
people making important decisions.
I was once a hard lefty idealist, but these days
I just want America to function again, be at peace,
with a strong a economy and a green future. The
one thing about the left is that we are so passionate
about so many different issues. Obama won't be
able to please everyone. But I hope everyone remembers
what we just had for the last eight years.
It is a miracle that we have broken free from the Bush years
and had a fair election. I actually believe in
our democracy again.
I have been reading your blog since before there
were blogs.
After reading a number of news and political
sites
I always come back to your site for some
reality and a laugh.

my best wishes for a fantastic holiday season
and my best for an outstanding 2009!
Just to let you know that there are many good
people out there, I've got a quick story for you:
Some asshole stole my dog and kept her for four
months, but after persistent posting on the Internet,
having bootleg signs made and posted on the freeways,
a local businessman donated a billboard,
sent out postcards to the dognapper's neighbors,
and a local merchant donated shirts with my dog's
picture on it--with the name and address of the
dognapping asshole on the front-- distributed to
establishments far and wide, she's home.
While this may sound trivial, I adopted my pup
the day I buried my best friend, my Grandmother,
and named her in remembrance. She IS my family.
It is because of the kindness of strangers that
I have my pup back.
Good deeds and good samaritans are out there,
they were just afraid to show themselves
during the Evil Butcher's Regime. Now people
feel free to act as they should.
So here's a pic of Bridget the Midget--in Pebble
Beach.
We both wish you a very wonderful holiday season.

Excerpt: Even as Bush's whore media continue to repeat
the claim that credit has frozen up, evidence has emerged
suggesting the entire story is wrong. There is
something approaching a consensus that the Paulson Plan --
also known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program,
or TARP -- was a boondoggle of an intervention that's
flailed from one approach to the next, with little
oversight and less effect on the financial meltdown.
But perhaps even more troubling than the ad hoc
nature of its implementation is the suspicion that has
recently emerged that TARP -- hundreds of billions
of dollars worth so far -- was sold to Congress
and the public based on a Big Lie.
They say those fat cats gave themselves $1.6 billion in bonuses with
our money.
Plus, they're not loaning the money we bailed them out with.
They're using it to buy more banks.
Bart, can you or someone out there help me?
I don't understand what all the talking heads
say about Bush's last minute regulations
that are weakening the environment, letting truckers
drive up to 14 hours a day, etc., etc.
They say it could take years to undo all this
crap. My question; why?
Can't Obama issue executive orders to reverse
all this?
Jon in Ohio
Jon, no.
The Republicans have special powers and the Democrats
don't.
Jim Inhofe can stop anything for any reason -
and he often does.
But even when we have the White House and
the Senate and the House
and a popular vote mandate in four of the last
five elections (Thanks to Kerry the Quitter)
Jim Inhofe will continue to be the man in charge
and I'm f-ing sick about it.
"I'm introducing
legislation that makes
it legal to hang a liberal!"
Actually, both sides have the same amount of power
but the scared bunny Democrats are afraid to use theirs.
Has Bruce Yurgil ever thought of putting all his
cartoons into a book?
I love them but hard to access if I print or
save them.
Think lots of readers would buy his book!
Or maybe there's one out there already?
Mary...
Mary, I'll pass that along to him.
I think it'd make a great book.
I too, have a problem with "under God," but I
have a bigger problem with pledging loyalty to the government.
I don't do loyalty oaths, and that's what the
pledge is, a loyalty oath. There is nothing remotely healthy about
United States citizens reciting loyalty oaths
to the government.
It will lead, at worst, to blindly following the
government, right or wrong, and at best, make the populace
look at the country cynically, much like myself.
I love this country. I think the government is corrupt
and needs to have the whip cracked over it on
a consistent basis.

What do you do when you find yourself in a situation that you didn't
ask for (That counts because if me and my meth head friend rob a liquor
store and my meth head friend shoots the clerk, I kinda
asked for that.) ...and you're faced with rules, laws and court orders that, in your
opinion,
are preventing you from effectively protecting your family?
Rick Warren is a total handjob.
He is a stealth handjob - making him even worse.
Obama's selection of him is inappropriate. Period.

Subject: Why I Still Support
Obama After Warren Decision
Hi Bart,
As a gay man who was grown up in the Bible belt
of Georgia, I have often encountered unreasonable
hatred and unvoiced bigotry at work and elsewhere.
I am now 50 years old. As a younger man I would
probably resent Obama's Warren choice but now
I look at the big picture and the long term.
Warren is going to give one prayer on one day.
If Obama had appointed him to a cabinet position I would
be concerned. As it is, though, I see no reason
not to throw the religion-crazies a bone. It kind of puts a dent
in their argument that Obama is too liberal or
Muslim. Every good politician knows that governing is using the
art of compromise to get most of what you want.
If we are not willing to give Obama some latitude to maneuver
he will be trapped in one corner and be unable
to obtain the most of what he wants for us. He will have to settle
for much less. He will have much going against
him from the GOP, religion-nuts, neoconservatives and the
whore media. I see no point in helping them out.
I wanted Hillary but when Obama was nominated
I put my support behind him. I even went out and voted
against that slime ball Saxby Chambliss in the
runoff in December hoping to add one more Democrat in the
Senate to help Obama. It amazes me those that
have been most vocal against Hillary and for Obama from
the beginning would loose faith in him so soon.

Excerpt: Philadelphia extended Dallas’s familiar December
swoon with a 44-6 rout.
The triumph came for a flawed team that for an
afternoon was flawless.
And it was made sweeter because it came against
the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas (9-7), which had Super Bowl aspirations,
goes home early and embarrassed.
The Cowboys have lost six straight games to the
Eagles in December and have lost
every regular-season finale since 1999.
.
Is there a law that a former Cowboy must call
every game? Troy Acheman is always
praising "the greatness" of the Cowboys, even
when they're 41 f-ing points behind.
"They're the most talented team in football,"
Acheman said again and again.
The scoreboard is calling you a liar, Sparky.
How many concussions did you have, by the way?
And when Dallas plays an AFC team, that Moose
guy (Darryl Johnston?)
is the one who tells us how great Dallas is -
while they're losing by 30 points.
Watching a Cowboy game on TV is like watching
FOX News.
No matter what your eyes tell you, the announcer
says "Don't believe them."
Actually I was hoping Dallas would win last Sunday so I could
hate them for another week, but they disappoint me every year.
Oh, and I'm sure Rush would say Philly quarterback Donovan McNabb
"got lucky" because he's Black.

No funeral songs, please? Is that too much to ask?
It's New Years f-ing Eve, and it's

Sidebar: Last New Years was saved by Miley Cyrus - swear to Koresh.
Of all the people they had on, she was the only professional performer.
She stood on top of some building in NY in that cold wind and she sang
her ass off
while the "superstars" lip-synched and screwed up their canned, slow
funeral songs.
Sidebar within a Sidebar: That goes for Bruce, too.
He's playing this year's Super Bowl and it'd be nice if he didn't get

play a bunch of lame-ass, accoustic Tom Joad ballads that also
make me want to f-ing hurl.
