"I’d like to say to my colleague from Texas
that there isn’t a single member on this side of the aisle that belongs to the “Democrat Party.” We belong
to the Democratic Party. So the party you were referring to doesn’t even exist. And I would just appreciate
the courtesy when you’re referring to our party, if you’re referring to the Democratic Party, to refer
to it as such."
-- Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), begging Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) to be nice,
after he
repeatedly invoked the 'Democrat Party' during a House Budget Committee
hearing,, Link
I've said it before and funny, I have to
say it again because the scared-bunny, braindead Democrats can't learn. All you'd have to do is refer to them ONE
TIME as "Republicunts" and you'd never hear "Democrat
Party" again.
But no, that wouldn't be nice and the Democrats' Number One goal
is to be nice.
Why complain about the slur if you're not willing to take steps
to stop it?
Democrats would rather surrender their lunch money for their entire
careers
than punch the bully in the nose ONE
TIME and solve the damn problem.
TO THIS DAY - nobody is using the right
words when they talk about this.
Sure, it sounds cute to say
"those houses are underwater," but the
truth is 20%
of homeowners paid $100K or $200K or $500K more
for their house than it was ever worth.
If you think this is an accident, it must be your
first trip to bartcop.com
The super-rich ponzied hundreds of billions of
dollars out of us and nobody talks about it.
Why won't anybody else call this what it is?
Every time they talk about this, some loan officer
says, "I told them 100 times that this
was crazy, that these loans were bad and we'd never collect
on them and they kept making them and they kept making them years after they knew for
a fact that they were bad."
The super-rich crooked bastards got out maybe
in early 2008.
They made their $300 billion each
and now they couldn't care less if America sinks.
Why isn't anybody talking about the biggest theft
in the history of the world?
Any time a person or entity
makes a "mistake" that puts extra money (or power) in their pocket,
expect them to make that "mistake" again and again and again.
That's why they made these never-coming
back loans again and again.
They made maybe $200K each time they "made a
mistake," so they made
those "mistakes" again and again and nobody else can see the obvious?
This is the same principle they used to stock
Gitmo with Afghanistan "terrorists."
BFEE Rep: Hey, goat herder, I'll give you $5,000
for every al-Qaeda you point out.
Goat Herder: There's one, and
there's another one - and those two guys over there!
The Bush bastard stole maybe half the wealth
in America and our whore media
keeps telling us the money "evaporated" and "dispeeared
into thin air."
No, ...it fucking didn't.
The Bush bastards Enron'd
the whole country - and nobody talks about it.
They told her mother she was shot once in the chest - "friendly fire."
They told her mother, "You don't want to see
her this way," but Mom insisted.
Mom saw more than one shot to the chest, so the army continued lying
to her.
Turns out her daughter's steroid-crazy stalker had her transfered to
his unit,
(He got a 'favor' from somebody 'upstairs") where he could hurl rage
at her until
he couldn't take it anymore and then he murdered her - and the army
lied about it.
How many other women came home from Iraq victioms of "friendly fire?"
How many other families were told, "You don't
want to see her this way?"
How many Rihannas will follow Kamisha Block to an early grave?
"(People) are aghast at Limbaugh’s statement
that he hopes Barack Obama fails. Well, given what Obama wants
to do, I hope he fails too." -- Jonah Goldberg, bravely following Der Pigboy's
lead in rooting for America to fail, Link
My reply was: Richard, were you attempting to make a point?
Fine. You didn't watch the clip, so no wonder
you would bleat in the dark.
Yeah, I have lots of spare time to watch a 59-minute video that might
eventually make a point.
Dude, I'm in the dark until you say something of substance. So far,
you've offered an adventure
"up my ass pipe," and you
wonder why I chose not to humor you?
Why bother to write if you're not going to say anything?
The point is, it was the Clinton financial honchos
who to deregulation to the extremes and really caused
the mess we are in. And now they're back in power.
No wonder Obama was effusive about Ronald Reagan.
So, Reagan and Bush and Cheney are innocent and Clinton is to blame?
Are you wondering why you got the Monkey graphic?
You say, "Clinton caused everything?" What makes you different from every handjob at FOX Whore News?
But Clinton took from one end of the pipe to "balance
the budget" while he was passing legislation at the
other end to turn real money into Monopoly paper
by doing the Reagan dance much better than the master.
You're not making sense. You're not even close to making sense.
And stop comparing Clinton to some mythical "perfect" president.
If you don't like Clinton or Obama or Bush or Reagan, I assume you
hate everybody.
Why should I bother to try to reach a miscreant like you?
Sure. I blame The Flaming Monkey for bringing
this mess to the current point of calamity, but the other Bush
was there, and Clinton took Reagan's idea of
deregulation to extremes. And it was Clinton's extremes that
really were destined to drown the economy.
"Clinton's extremes were 'destined' to drown the
economy?"
Did you graduate from Liberty University?
He "balanced" the economy on money printed only
on one side.
Watch the goddamn clip.
Richard.
No.
I'm not going to spend an hour watching something you can't explain.

“Whenever a Republican criticizes Rush, they
have to run back and apologize to him and say they were misunderstood. He
is the voice and the intellectual force and the energy behind the Republican Party." -- Rahm Emanuel on Face the
Whore
No, actually it's just the castrated cowards, like Tom Michael
Steele, who are forced to apologize.
Certitude: The first Republican to stand up and say, "Rush
Limbaugh is poison for us," will become the leader of the Republican party and the
de
facto front-runner for 2012.
It's so clear - why doesn't anybody see it?
The reason Rush is acting boss is because the GOP has nothing
and nobody.
Bush and Cheney are worse than laughingstocks.
Sarah Palin and Piyush Jindal can't find Washington DC on a f-ing
map.
Mitch the Bitch and his Boner Buddy are pigmys - they really
need a leader so the
first person with the courage and brains to trash the Pigboy
will be the new boss.
This is agreat opportunity for some GOP nobody to make a name
for himself.
The first Republican with the courage to say, "Rush
Limbaugh is poison for us," will be THE most popular man in the Republican party - I guarantee
it.
Rush, the intellectual leader of the Party of
Bush, says that it's OK to want Obama to fail because Democrats
wanted Bush to fail. Did Democrats
want Bush to fail? Absolutely! Does that make it
the same thing? Absolutely not!
Even though it's true on the surface that the
Democrats fought against Bush the way Rush is fighting Obama, there is
a
big difference and that difference is reality.
Many of us on the Left believe in an absolute
reality. We believe reality actually exists. Many of us are monorealistic
in that we believe in the one true reality that
we all live in. That we live in a world where what is true is different
than
what is false. We believe in cause and effect.
We believe that if you make the wrong choices that you are likely to
suffer the consequences.
Many on the Right don't believe in an absolute
reality. They think reality is all in the mind and that the consequences
of your actions don't matter. They believe that
if you convince enough people to believe something that it replaces reality.
For the last 8 years we had a president who turned
his back on reality and reality is now punishing us for our sins.
We are learning the hard way that bad choices
have bad consequences. America has elected a new president who is
dedicated to embracing reality and making reality
our friend. There is a difference between right and wrong, between
failure and success, and we have chosen to do
it right and succeed. We Realists invite the Republicans to join us in
embracing reality. Be part of the solution, not
part of the problem. Reality changed my life, it can change your life too!
Excerpt: I just watched the disgraced Tom DeLay hail Rush
Limbaugh on "Hardball," and warn: "Republicans better understand
and look at the role model he's presenting ...
Stand up and fight!"
The GOP's reputation is circling the drain, and
Obama's approval ratings are at an all-time high while only 26 percent of those polled have a
favorable view of the GOP -- an all-time low.
The vulgar Pigboy is a GOP role model? Let's
list the facts:
He has no education.
Three divorces, no woman will
have him.
Addicted to hillbilly heroin
that he made his housekeeper buy..
Hates "niggers, the homeless
and queers" and doesn't care who knows it.
Sexually molests third world
children, spreading his syphilis everywhere.
Super-rich, but still
can't get a woman.
Yeah, I think I agree with Tom DeLay.
Rush is the perfect role model for Republicans.
Excerpt: Last week's Conservative Political Action Committee
in Washington offered a rich spectacle. Except it wasn't the usual
sideshow barkers who provided the most bizarre
entertainment; it was the headline speakers, notably Rush Limbaugh
and Mike Huckabee. Between them, they made Bobby
Jindal sound statesmanlike.
ha ha
Jindal, after all, was merely pitching sweet feed
to the cattle. But was it wise to argue that government doesn't work by
citing Bush's feckless response to Katrina? To
mock as wasteful the U.S. Geological Survey's monitoring of volcanoes?
The same agency funds river gauges and tidal
monitors, of interest to the Bayou State. Heck, why not throw in the
do-nothing National Weather Service? Why watch
the weather if you can't change it?
Which brings us back to Limbaugh and Huckabee.
Sweating like a draft horse, and appearing to have gained the
hundredplus pounds that Huckabee famously lost,
Limbaugh all but anointed himself titular head of the GOP.
OK, so he's never held office or participated
in open debate. Where an ordinary mind might be daunted by the
spectacular economic wreckage left behind by
George W. Bush, Limbaugh's is an other-worldly doctrine.
Conservatism cannot fail, it can only be failed;
hence, its patron saint, Ronald Reagan, is remembered only for cutting
income taxes during his first term. His subsequent
tax increases-nearly doubling the Social Security tax, for example
- are never mentioned. This, Bush refused to
do, resulting in the near-doubling of the national debt that Republicans
have suddenly rediscovered with a Democrat in
the White House.

McAllen and Brownsville may be next.
I moved from McAllen in late 2007

Excerpt: If AIG were so important to the American economy,
shouldn't government regulators have been looking more
closely at its activities? They couldn't then,
and even now they don't understand what AIG has been up to, because
the company was allowed to operate in an essentially
unregulated global economy in which multinational corporations
have their way. As the Treasury/Fed statement
concedes: "AIG operates in over 130 countries with over 400 regulators
and the company and its regulated and unregulated
subsidiaries are subject to very different resolution frameworks
across their broad and diverse operations without
an overarching resolution mechanism."
Oh, really? And you're discovering that only now,
when you're making us bail AIG out? It wasn't that long ago that
a couple of hustlers operating out of an AIG
office in London were going wild making money off selling insurance
on credit default swaps that no one could understand,
but the company execs loved those huge profit margins.
To challenge their maneuvering, as some in Congress
attempted, was said by their defenders, including Geithner,
to put them at an unfair disadvantage in the
world market. Ignorance was bliss ... until the bubble burst.
There was a great letter to the editor in the US Whore Today.
Unless you put down 20%
or more on your mortgage, the law says you have to buy Private Mortgage
Insurance.
Why isn't that insurance paying off these bad loans? Did the lenders
take money
from the buyers and pocket it instead of buying the required-by-law
insurance?
Too bad we don't have anybody in government who gives a fuck.
"When Limbaugh says he hopes Obama fails, almost
everybody listening will hear that as a wish for a longer and more severe recession.
He means that he wants the president's program to be rejected in favor of some other emergency
package. But that's not what he said, and that's not what the big voting public will remember." -- David From, Link
He has a point. When the vulgar Pigboy dies, it's possible
the first paragraph will read:
Rush Limbaugh, who said he wanted our president to fail in
the worst economic crisis in recent history, was called home to Heaven when his fat ass burst into flame
after mocking Michael J Fox.
hey bart
long time Irish reader in cork.
to answer your question on our tax system its
20% up to about 36,000 euros and 41% after that.
the problem people here have with bono is that
until a couple of years ago all songwriters and other artists
income was tax free no matter how many millions
they earned, now ONLY the first 1/4 million is tax free
and they have to pay tax on the rest just like
the us commoners.
this didnt suit bono so he moved his income to
tax avoidance shelters which he is entitled to do.
the nub of the problem is this is the same guy
who pontificates at and berates world governments
for not sending enough taxpayers (the little
people) money in African aid. he wants to look like
a great humanitarian just as long as its at someone
elses expense.
yours sincerely
finbarr
Without more facts, I can't really form an opinion,
but let me say this: I have a feeling that most guys
like Bono - who has (wild guess) $400 million
in a safe bank - would rather pay a few more dollars
in taxes than be stuck on a cold airplane for
20 hours to Africa with a boring old fart like Paul ONeill.
Trust me, Bono would rather spend a week with me & Mrs. Bart than
one day with Paul O'Neill.
And unless Bono paid a crooked politician to give him special tax breaks,
why should he not take advantage of the tax laws as written?
If I'm in Tommy's Mexican
Restaurant (Tommy is a Dem) in San Francisco and shots are half-price
from 4-7 and it's 3:58 - am I some kind of hypocrite to wait three
minutes to order my shots?
If Bono is a cheap bastard hypocrite, then he just is and nothing I
can say can change the facts,
but it's my guess those accusations are as valid as the "Bono cheats
on his wife" accusations.
Sure, the poor people of Ireland have mixed feelings about the biggest
band in the world.
That doesn't make U2 a bunch of pricks.
Excerpt: Since the election, the right wing has seized
nearly every opportunity to link any sharp decline in the stock market
(without any basis in fact) to Barack Obama.
Yesterday, losses on Wall Street forced the Dow to close “below 7,000
for the first time since 1997” and like clockwork,
the right (and some on Wall Street) jumped to blame Obama.
The Whore Street Journal claimed today that 'Obama’s
policies have become part of the economy’s problem.'"
If the Left would simply list the facts, there'd be no argument.
But if the Right says it's Obama's fault and the Left remains silent,
then people who don't pay attention will believe whatever they've heard.
The Democrats just refuse to stand with their president.
Bart: how many years have you been saying that
the way for Democrats to defeat right-wing
gasbags is to say, "Rush speaks for the Republican
Party", and then force Republicans to deny it?
Well, here you go!
-------
On "Face the Whore," Rahm Emanuel was more than
happy to build up Rush: "He is the voice and the intellectual
force and energy behind the Republican Party,
and he has been up front about what he views, and hasn't stepped
back from that, which is he hopes for failure.
He said it, and I compliment him on his honesty. But that's their
philosophy that's enunciated by Rush Limbaugh
and I think that's the wrong philosophy for America."
