Excerpt: For the first time since last fall's election,
Democrats and Obama are backpedaling furiously on an issue
easily understood by financially strapped taxpayers:
$165 million in bonuses paid out at bailed-out AIG.
Republicans, struggling to regain their political
footing, are content to let Democrats try to dig their way out.
Professing shock at the bonus payments, Democrats
have embarked on a hurry-up effort to fix things.
"It's shocking that they would act surprised about
these contracts," said Mitch the Bitch of KY.
"They could have and should have ... prevented
this from happening. They had a lot of leverage two weeks ago."
The provision to deny bonus payments was dropped
without explanation in the final compromise, replaced by a less restrictive set of conditions backed
by Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and accepted by the White House.
I don't think I'ever written this before - but Mitch the Bitch is right.
How could they make a blunder this big - how is it possible?
Will they go with the "Who could have predicted?"
defense?
Hardly, because we always expect corporate America to rape us like crazy
A
story from yesterday blamed everything on Geithner, saying he insisted
the bonuses should stay and
right now that's costing Obama a truckload of credibility for being
"pro-exec bonuses" with our money.
No telling how bad the damage is, but it reminds me of General Schwarzkopf's
hueueueueueuueuge and
bloody blunder when he forgot to ban Iraqi helicopters from flying
after the first fake Gulf War in 1991.
As a result, Saddam flew death choppers up North and wiped out Kurdish
towns who were promised
protection by Bush the Not As Stupid for assisting the Americans during
the "1991 revolution."
How do you forget something that big with the whole world watching?
Excerpt: Obama's comments came just more than an hour
after Chris Dodd told CNN that he was
responsible for language added to the stimulus
bill to give giant bonuses to the AIG pirates.
Dodd admitted his guilt after a Treasury Department official told CNN that Obama pushed
for the language.
Both Dodd and (Geithner) who asked not to be named,
said it was because Obama dudes
were afraid the government would face numerous
lawsuits without the new language.
Really? You paid a $160M bribe with OUR MONEY because you were afraid
some crooked, broke-dick
derivitive traders might possibly file a lawsuit against the
United States at some point in the future?
Are these guys smart enough to be running this country?
I'm not out to get Obama, but in this case, "I'll
take responsibility" doesn't hunt.
If Obama CHOSE to go with Geithner's "AIG bonuses are fine" plan
while publicly saying
"This is an outrage," then he's
got severe credibility problems and that means all Democrats do.
When Obama says, "I'll take responsibility"
it sounds like he's saying,
"If I take the blame would you please stop
looking into this?"
Reminder: I'm not out to get Obama, but so far this is like a Three
Stooges episode.
You've known me 14 years and I've never fucked up anything this bad.
"Fortunately, we wrote this amendment in a
way that allows the Treasury Department to go back and review these bonus contracts
and seek to recover the money for taxpayers."
-- Chris Dodd, admitted liar, Link
When some blowhard politician tries to blow smoke up your ass,
just go back and take out all the unnecessary words to see what
he really meant.
"We wrote this amendment to allow Treasury
to seek to recover money."
That is a totally worthless f-ing statement.
Dodd wrote the bill to allow the government to seek the
lost money?
That's 200% pure horseshit.
Bartcop is in a position to seek the Papacy when Benny
the Rat dies.
Really? Can you see me as the Pope?
I remember when I lived in the USA some Texan
also wanted to secede from the union.
The overwhelming reaction of the American People:
Please do, we hate Texas,
nothing good and lots of bad has come from there.
And if only they’d done it, then Bush would not
have been able to run.
No, I say, anytime a Texan says we need to secede,
we should give that effort all our cooperation.
They’re NOT Americans; they hate America. They’re
populated by backwards troglodytes who
believe in Fascism. Let them leave.
Jitske
There are some good Texans but I get your drift.
Maybe we can get Florida so secede with them.
Excerpt: Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) looking guiltier than a
mother-effer admitted on CNN that he inserted a loophole
in the stimulus legislation that allowed million-dollar
bonuses to insurance giant AIG to go forward – after
previously denying any involvement in writing
the controversial provision.
How could they fuck this up this bad?
I have an IQ of 64 and they'd never catch
me lying like Dodd did.
And how guilty is Geithner? How guilty
is Obama?.
Dodd the liar had previously said that he played
no role in writing the controversial language,
and was not a part of the conference committee
that inserted the language in the bill.
As late as today, Dodd’s spokeswoman denied the
senator’s involvement.
How can Dodd be such a clumsy liar?
He's in the US Senate, for Christ's sake.
Dodd put out the following statement last night:
“I’m the one who has led the fight against excessive
executive compensation, often over the objections of many.
What?
Rule Number One - when confessing your guilt, try to make sense.
"I did not want to make any changes to my original
Senate-passed amendment but I did so at the request
of Administration officials, who gave us no indication
that this was in any way related to AIG. Let me be clear
– I was completely unaware of these AIG bonuses
until I learned of them last week.
So who is Dodd preparing to Judas kiss - Geithner or Obama?
Dodd told Wolf the Whore, "Treasury asked me
to give those crooked bastards $160M." And Wolf asked, "Who, specifically
asked you to give the crooks $160M?" And Dodd the clumsy, boneheaded liar replied,
"Staffers, I didn't get their names..."
Really?
Unnamed, blank-faced "staffers" asked you to give $160M to the AIG crooks
- and you did?
Unnamed, blank-faced "staffers" asked you to lie to Wolf the Whore
Tuesday - and you did?
Unnamed, blank-faced "staffers" asked you to throw away your integrity
- and you did?
What if some unnamed, blank-faced staffer asked you to dress up like
Bo f-ing Peep
and blow every dude at the Washington DC Greyhound Bus Station?
"I'm
fucked."
Folks, we might be in trouble. Our Democratic administration seems to be lying
to us.
Why can't they tell the truth?
What have they done that puts them in the position that being a clumsy
liar on live TV
is better than telling the truth because the truth - obviously
- is so much worse?
Last thing: Dodd said some gobbledegook about, "If we
didn't make this deal WITH the $160M in bonuses, we wouldn't have been able to make the deal
and THAT would've been much worse."
Really?
When your friend comes to you and says, "I need
$30K or Guido is going to break my legs," your friend is in no position to dictate terms and deny you
the chance to loan him money.
If they're innocent, why can't they tell the truth?
Excerpt: Finally, on Sunday night, March 15, the government
finally released the details. They were indeed highly embarrassing.
The largest recipient turned out to be Paulson’s
own firm, Goldman Sachs, headed the list. It was owed $13 billion in
counterparty claims. Here’s the picture that’s
emerging. Last September, Treasury Secretary Paulson, from Goldman Sachs,
drew up a terse 3-page memo outlining his bailout
proposal. The plan specified that whatever he and other Treasury officials
did (thus including his subordinates, also from
Goldman Sachs), could not be challenged legally or undone, much less prosecuted.
This condition enraged Congress, which rejected
the bailout in its first incarnation.
It now looks as if Paulson had good reason
to put in a fatal legal clause blocking any clawback of funds given by
the Treasury
to AIG’s counterparties. This is where public
outrage should be focused.
Instead, the leading Congressional shepherds of
the bailout legislation – along with Obama, who came out in his final debate
with McCain strongly in favor of the bailout
in Paulson’s awful “short” version – have been highlighting the AIG
executives
receiving bonuses, not the company’s counterparties.
$32 billion were wasted on reconstruction and
most of it cannot even be traced.
I repeat, Cheney gave away $32 bn. to anonymous
cronies and we can't even be sure who stole it, exactly.
And people are angry at AIG about $400 mn. in
bonuses!
We are talking about $32 billion given out in
brown paper bags.
"Rush is a good friend. I love him. I think
he does great work and has for years. He’s now offered to debate Obama on
his radio show. Hell, I’d pay to see that!"
-- The Evil Dick, Link
A phoney offer from the vulgar Pigboy?
He's never debated anyone in his life - HE CAN'T because he's nothing
but a bag of lies.
That speech he gave at CPAC - wish I had a copy because he told
hundreds of lies in that hour.
I know people are outraged about the AIG bonuses, and I am, too, but
CNN is turning it
into another Monica and it wouldn't hurt to remember that the AIG bastards
and their
Democratic accomplices stole about $160M dollars.
And remember, $160M is roughly 1/6 of one billion dollars
but we have TRILLION dollar problems that we need to
keep our eye on.
Maybe the worst part of this Dodd/Geithner mess is the whole crash
might eventually be remembered as "the Democrats'
mess."
Once agin, Demo stupidity gave the Bush bastards
the cover they need for their massive, global crimes.
We have broken the $1,000
level! Thanks to all who have been so generous.
A word to you, the Bartcop reader.
I know what you're thinking...
"I like Ol' Bart, been reading him for a while, and I've alwasy thought about sending him
a "love" check because there was a couple of times when I
had a bad day and I dialed up bartcop.com and I saw something
that gave me a chuckle and made that day's load
a little lighter."
Y'know how I'm always saying, "List the facts?" Fact is - about 2% contribute.
I know times are tough, so I'm not asking for your rent money
or your food money or your utility money - no, not me.
I'm asking for your cocaine money.
If you send your cocaine money to bartcop.com you can notdie of a cocaine overdose - so you, then,
logically, could owe your future to bartcop.com
I'm asking for your hooker money.
If you send your hooker money to bartcop.com your wife can notcatch you screwing a hooker.
That means you get to keep your kids and
what's that worth to your tight-wallet ass?
Because you donated - heavily - to bartcop.com you got to keep your precious little angel offspring.
Whatever hueueueuge amounts of your hard-earned cash
you're spending on cocaine (or whatever) and hookers,
if you send that to bartcop.com you will get to
keep
your house, save your marriage and keep your kids.
If the stakes were lower, I wouldn't ask...
.
Help us
make the pie higher!
Throw us some cocaine/hooker money. You're guaranteed to lose 15 pounds with any donation
and your old boyfriend will divorce that bitch.
Last year, we raised $10,000
but it took 4 months to do it. This year we're trying

Subject: Is Jon Stewart
the great debater of our times?
Hi Bart, you asked,
> Is Jon Stewart the great debater of our times?
I'd have to say Colbert is better. The guy's fucking
brilliant.
He takes GOP talking points and throws them at
Democrats (who should (!)
know how to answer those questions)and then runs
them out to their logical extreme
to show how ridiculous they are. Unfortunately,
half the time people don't get the joke.
Anybody that goes on the Colbert show should read
"The Art of Deception" a few times.
Robert in Tallahassee
But the bigger point is why is there nobody
in the Democratic party who
can list the facts as well as Stewart,
Colbert, Seth Myers (SNL) or Bartcop?
How is it possible the Dems are so brainless,
clueless and sacless?
"AIG finds itself in financial distress due
to recklessness and greed. Under these circumstances, it's hard to understand how derivative traders
at AIG warranted any bonuses, much less $165 million in extra pay. How do they justify this outrage to
the taxpayers who are keeping the company afloat?"
-- Obama, Link
BUT, ...if it comes out that Obama personally
agreed to those wild-ass bonuses,
how much will that hurt his credibility
and his ability to govern for the next four years?
Why am I so worried about this?
Because Dodd lied, then got caught lying so he confessed saying,
"OK, I did it, but only at the request
of unnamed Treasury staffers," which is
another lie.
When you lie during your confession, that means the problem is
REAL big.

Excerpt: Even the audit log system on current versions
of Premier Election's (formerly Diebold's) electronic voting systems ---
used in
some 34 states across the nation --- fail to
record the wholesale deletion of ballots. Even when ballots are deleted
on the same day as an election. That's
the shocking admission heard today from Justin Bales, Premier's Western
Region manager,
at a State of California public hearing on the
possible decertification of Diebold/Premier's tabulator system, GEMS v.
1.18.19.
An election system's audit logs are meant to record
all activity during the counting of ballots, so that later examiners may
determine,
with certainty, whether any fraudulent or mistaken
activity had occurred during the count. Diebold's software fails to do
that, as has
recently been discovered by Election Integrity
advocates in Humboldt County, CA, and then confirmed by the CA Secretary
of State.
The flaws, built into the system for more than
a decade, are in serious violation of federal voting system certification
standards.
Will history record that Bush stole two elections?
Of course not - because the Democrats have refused to list the facts.
Even now, Democrats have no problem using Diebold
machines.
They just refuse to try to win an election.
Maybe Obama won by 15 points and Diebold shaved
11 of them.
Excerpt: I was very happy to see the president forcefully
step in and oppose the bonuses, and not just because of how disgusting
the idea is that the company that nearly brought
down the financial system was rewarding those responsible for causing
the near collapse. The political angle was even
more important.
There was a danger that the Republicans were going
to grab onto the populist anti-bank feelings in the country to position
themselves as the party of the people, with the
Democrats being cast as the party of the bankers. Factually, of course,
we know
that this notion is not true. Republicans
treat 'regulation' like it was a curse word, allowing the greedy to run
amok and bring
down the economy in a heap of risky derivatives.
Now in control of the White House and both houses of Congress,
the Democrats are left to clean up the mess.
And it is a mess that has to be cleaned up for the economy to rebound.
I'm worried that our president has found himself in a box.
Today is the sixth anniversary of Bush's war of
lies in Iraq.
The traditional gift idea for the sixth anniversary
is either candy
or iron.
We should send some candy to the wounded soldiers
at Walter Reed and send some
iron to Cheney & Der Monkey so they can make
an anchor and tie themselves to it,
then get in a boat and go out into the Gulf of
Mexico and throw it overboard.
Excerpt: In Abdullah Almalki's case, he wasn't renditioned.
He simply flew into Damascus to see his Syrian family, got banged up in
the
city's secret police headquarters and was then
beaten into submission, not much different from Maher Arar, who was a Canadian
citizen and got renditioned to Damascus by the
Americans while the US authorities sent questions to his perverted Syrian
torturers.
Arar has received apologies from US senators
– though not from Bush -- and compensation from the Canadian government.
The details of each case are shockingly similar.
Tim Hancock of Amnesty International has supplied similar information on
Khaled
al-Maqtari, a Yemeni man, who was apparently
threatened with rape and beaten in chains by his perverted American torturers.
Western nations simply assisted the perverts
by providing them with pages of questions while their citizens/residents
lay in agony,
wishing they had never been born.
