"Republicans make it sound as if America's
stature is so fragile, it is easily weakened by casual courtesies at an international forum. President Obama, in contrast,
acts as if America's stature is strong, and can withstand a handshake with a foreign head of state. Since when does
the GOP find it useful to promote the idea of American weakness?"

Excerpt: Just last week, I wrote that Kansas Congressman
Todd Tiahrt had been asked at a Kansas City Star Editorial Board meeting
whether the vulgar Pigboy was the de facto leader
of the Republican Party. "No, no, he's just an entertainer," replied Tiahrt,
who's running for the U.S. Senate in 2010.
Whoah. Those are fighting words for dittomonkeys
and knuckldragging supporters of Limbaugh.
The Methane Factory alreadyy has gone after people
who have refused to crown him king of the GOP -- or, to be fairer,
at least as a powerful spokesman for the ultra-conservative
cause...The money quote from Tiahrt spokesman Sam Sackett to
the newspaper's editorial board: 'The congressman
believes Rush is a great leader of the conservative movement in America
- not a party leader responsible for election
losses. Nothing the congressman said diminished the role Rush has played
and
continues to play in the conservative movement.'"
The Democrats pounced.
Add Congressman Todd Tiahrt to the list of spineless
Republicans who can’t stand up to their party’s leader – Rush Limbaugh.
Just days after claiming Rush is “just an entertainer,”
Congressman Tiahrt is now singing a different tune. Fearful of Pigboy's
retribution,
Congressman Tiahrt’s office quickly issued an
apology praising Limbaugh stating 'The Congressman believes Rush is a great
leader.'
They sooooooo
want to use the N-word, but they
can't so they make up the goofiest shit.
Subject: Gay judges in
Miss USA contest?
Miss USA beauty contest judge Perez Hilton, a
gay activist, proves the point of the people who voted for California Prop
8
that there is a difference between the gay world
and the straight world. When it comes to Miss USA beauty contest, I don't
see
how it makes sense to have a gay man be a judge
any more that a straight man should be a judge at a gay male beauty contest.
It is just plain wrong for Mr. Hilton to impose
his gay values as a test question for gay political correctness in a female
beauty contest.
It is also unprofessional in his role as judge
to go on national television and call her a bitch and a c**t.
So as far as I'm concerned
Carrie Prejean won. I don't recognize Mr. Hilton's
vote. If he can't control himself he has no place in a position of responsibility.

She may be brain-dead, but she can wear a bikini...
Excerpt: Former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, who is now the
director of the Miss California USA pageant,
spent the last few weeks in Las Vegas actively
promoting her pageant princess, Carrie Prejean.
But Moakler and her business partner, Keith Lewis,
a strong activist against Proposition 8, were so infuriated
over Prejean’s answer to Perez Hilton’s gay marriage
question during Sunday’s crowning, they refused to make
contact with the San Diego native after the show.
"This is why we have judges at Miss USA, so we
find the girl to rep us ALL," Moakler Twittered after the pageant.
"I don’t know how you can call a gay man or woman
your friend and not want them 2 have the same joys as yourself.
In my family we believe in equal rights for all,
I am sad and hurt, I agree with Perez 100 [percent]. It's one thing to
have
an opinion I am very opinionated n have dealt
with backlash from it, it's another to alienate people who cared about
u."
Why drag politics into something as stupid and
lightweight as a beauty pageant?
Can't a girl wear a bikini without having an
opinion on gay rights, guns and abortion?
And why the hell is Perez Hilton famous enough
to be a judge for Miss USA? I wish all the people who hate
Paris Hilton would throw a little rage towards
this asshole. All he's ever contributed to society is publishing
pictures of movie stars at the beach and writing "Fat Pig" on their
thighs.
He makes Paris look like the hardest-working woman in America.

Excerpt: Obama’s decision to spare CIA torturers from
prosecution stands the Nuremberg principles on their head.
“Good Germans who were only following orders”
are not exempt from the bar of justice. Individuals must be
held responsible for war crimes and crimes against
humanity.
Justice Robert Jackson, chief United States prosecutor
at the Nuremberg trials, declared in his opening statement to the
tribunal that the men charged “represent sinister
influence that will lurk in the world long after their bodies have returned
to dust.
They are living symbols of racial hatreds, of
terrorism and violence, and of the arrogance and cruelty of power.”
The arrogance and cruelty of CIA officers who
torture and brutalize helpless prisoners are not expunged just because,
as Obama said, they “carried out their duties
relying in good faith upon legal advice from the Department of Justice.”
Attorney General Eric Holder says it’s “unfair
to prosecute dedicated men and women working to protect America for
conduct that was sanctioned in advance by the
Justice Department,” but he fails to note these very CIA agents requested
said authority in order to engage in what all
but the most insidious parsing of legal thought recognizes as torture."
> "Plus, I don't want to hear any talk of "international
law prevents us from taking action." > "Fuck that. "
That's pretty much the Bush Administration's attitude
toward the Geneva Conventions and international laws against torture.
I thought of another analogy yesterday.
"There's absolutely no legitimate reason for
a black man to be running along Lake Shore Drive in Grosse Pointe, so if one is seen, he should be shot
down before he can cause trouble. I don't want to hear any talk of
human rights, the rule of law or habeas corupus. Fuck
that." Peter Y

I would not say you were "just like
Bush" if you chose to save him.
Excerpt: In a move sure to accelerate the push for a wide-ranging
investigation of Bush bastard misdeeds, Obama today said he is
not opposed to some sort of "further accounting
of what took place during this period," as long as it doesn't get "so politicized
that we cannot function effectively and it hampers
our ability to carry out critical national security operations."
He also said that, while he has ruled out prosecution
of the people who followed the legal guidance provided by
Department of Justice, he wasn't taking a position
on what should happen to people higher up in the chain of command.
"With respect to those who formulated those legal
decisions, I would say that that is going to be more of a decision
for the attorney general within the parameters
of various laws, and -- and I don't want to prejudge that. I think that
there are a host of very complicated issues involved
there."
Hey Barack, why were you so slow coming to the
correct conclusion?
If I had been on your staff, we would've avoided
this mess you created for yourself.
First, you had Rahm on Meet the Whore saying
the Bush bastards would remain untouched for their crimes.
Monday, you had Gibbs saying the same thing and
then Tuesday you (very clumsily) reversed yourself.
If you get things right the first time, you don't
have to reverse yourself, your Chief of Staff and your press secretary
don't end up looking stupid and uninformed AND
you don't look like MoveOn.org's puppet.
We expect some newbie mistakes - but on something this simple?
Your staff does have IQ's higher than 64 - right?
Oresident Obama is a professor of law, correct?
If so, there is no way that he can ignore the
treaties we’ve signed or the rule of law. But…
This is a man who can’t save a baby from a fire
without being vilified by the repuglican smear machine.
What would happen if Obama said that he intends
to charge Bush and Cheney with war crimes?
The right would go ballistic. It’s not Obama’s
job to decide what the justice department does,
it’s Eric Holder’s responsibility, and I believe
he will appoint a special council very soon.
Mike in Mooo Hampshire
After a false start, Obama has reversed himself and says IT IS up to
Holder.
I say we put the spotlight on those torture-for-fun bastards and let
everyone get a good look
at what they did with our money and in our name, all the while
swearing they weren't doing it.
Excerpt: The following is a quote from Bush speechwriter
Marc Thiessen:
Critics claim that enhanced techniques do not
produce good intelligence because people will say anything to get the (torture)
to stop. But the memos note that, "as Abu Zubaydah himself explained with
respect to enhanced techniques, 'brothers who are captured and interrogated
are permitted by Allah to provide information when they believe they have reached the limit of their ability to withhold
it in the face of psychological and physical hardship."
In other words, the terrorists are called by
their faith to resist as far as they can -- and once they have done so,
they are free to tell everything they know. This is
because of their belief that "Islam will ultimately dominate the world
and that this victory is inevitable." The job of the
interrogator is to safely help the terrorist do his duty to Allah, so he
then feels liberated to speak freely. This is the secret
to the program's success.
Hear that, everyone? Muslims are allowed to confess
and give up information once they're tortured to their breaking point.
So, really, the poor Muslims we had in our custody
wanted us to torture them so they'd finally feel free to speak their minds
about all the bad stuff they did!
Bart,
Don't say that all Repubs are racvist or
that we all hate any particular group.
That is bullshit and you know it. I have
no animosity for people of other cultures or colors
but I am a fiscal conservative because
I know that collectivism sucks.
You call me a racist ? Take it back.
If you know nothing about conservatives
you should endeavor to learn
and not try to raise revenue by demonizing
people when you would hate it
if that were done to you or other lefties.
Carson
You are correct.
I can't say ALL Rethugs are racists because I don't know you
all.
But as a party, you are racists.
What else could explain your failure to elect
a single Black person to national office?
What's next - your party doesn't hate gays, either?
Excerpt: Senator Russ Feingold, one of the harshest critics
of Bush torturing, says he cannot bring himself to
support Obama's apparent decision not to investigate
or prosecute illegalities from those years...
That got reversed Tuesday.
In a slightly weasel-like move, Obama now says
it's up to AG Eric Holder.
And maybe Robert Gibbs is a good guy, but he sure
sounds like a weasel, too.
Did you hear him Tuesday?
He didn't answer a single question reporters
asked him.
If our side is innocent, why can't Gibbs answer
simple questions?
"If you want to see just how outrageous this is,
I refer you to the remarks made by Peggy Noonan this Sunday," he said,
referring to the longtime scumbaggette on ABC's
This Whore with Judas Maximus. "I frankly have never heard anything
quite as disturbing as her remark that was something
to the affect of: 'well sometimes you just have to move on.'"
"Some things in life need to be mysterious," Noonan
said on Sunday about the release of the torture memos.
"Sometimes you need to just keep walking...It's
hard for me to look at a great nation issuing these documents
and sending them out to the world and thinking,
oh, much good will come of that."
So, when a Rethug president commits crimes, we should look the other
way?
You mean like the GOP did when they suspected Clinton had a girlfriend?
That's the kind of "look the other way" Piggy supports?
How come Michael Vick is regarded around the globe
as a MONSTER who should be locked up
in prison for torturing animals, yet the MSM
and the right-wing nutjobs are willing to give everyone
within the Bush Crime Syndicate a pass for torturing
humans?
Could it be that they value the life of a dog
more than the life of a person with brown skin?

The Summit of the Americas, a Bill Clinton invention
in 1994, has turned into a thug-fest, a showcase for the

The country that spent the last eight years kidnapping suspects?
The country that spent the last eight years murdering suspects?

people who didn't survive the torture that the right says is so innocent.

Yes.

We are still suffering for the crimes they were

Subject: Prison guards
prefer pot to booze
Prison guards in the big lockups, especially Federal
Penitentiaries, prefer pot to inmate-made hooch!
I worked with prison inmates at a federal prison,
and I had to laugh when I discovered that on weekends, when
inmates would go to the prison theater to watch
a movie, within minutes of the lights going out matches were flickering
all through the audience, and inmates would be
lighting up weed and hash or whatever was smuggled in.
The guards can clearly see the smoke cloud and
smell the weed, but they leave it alone. They know that after the flick
the majority of inmates will simply return to
their cell blocks, hit some munchies and crash. Next time you look at one
of those little plastic spoons from the DQ, imagine
it being filled with some weed and leveled off even with the rim.
That's $10.00 in prison!
One of the worst prison riots took place in New
Mexico in 1980. Inmates broke into the protective custody block
and slaughtered every rat. Several guards
were not spared. The cause was home made booze. About a dozen inmates
got drunk on some high octane liquid and the
fuse was lit.
You can't beat Mother Earth's flower, and all
the bullshit and fairy tales spread by the DEA is really sickening!
