"In my mind's eye, I can see Ronald Reagan,
watching all the goings-on down here in his old earthly home. The Republican Party that is in such disrepute
today is not the party of Reagan. It is the party of Rush Limbaugh, of Ann Coulter, of Newt Gingrich, of George
W. Bush, of Karl Rove. It is not a conservative party, it is a party built on the blind and narrow pursuit of power...I
suspect Reagan is wondering who these clowns are who want so desperately to wrap themselves in his cloak." -- Mickey Edwards, former
Oklahoma congressman/handjob, Link
Mickey Edwards IS Pigboy, Coulter and Rove.
I love hearing him tear down those Fascist dogs, but I think
he's just tired of losing.
Also, doesn't God have the same problem? (Assuming you believe
in invisible ghosts)
Isn't God angry at the charlatans that speak for Him in an effort
to grab money and power?
Wouldn't it be cool if "Christians" were Christ-like?
Excerpt: Barack Obama has fatally undermined our currency,
our solvency, our financial stability and - ultimately
- our economy, all to spend money that has had
no economic effect!
Is Obama a failure? Not by his lights. His goal
was never to stimulate the economy. His goal was to expand government
spending, and he used the recession as an excuse
to do so. And, by this standard, he is a raging success. With the stimulus
spending, the government proportion of gross
domestic product will rise from about 35 percent to about 40 percent,
and with health care "reform" it will go soaring
into the mid-40s, bringing us to parity with Germany en route to France!
Butt Handjob, Obama wouldn't have had to spend that money
if Bush hadn't bankrupted America and broke the entire world.
How many trillions did the Bush bastards lose?
How many hundreds of billions did the Bush bastards steal?
And Obama's a bad guy for trying to fix Bush's Greatest Disaster?
Keep talking, loud and clear and be sure everybody hears you.
We need voices like yours if Obama's going to get his 80 Democratic
senators.
(He needs 80 senators because 20 of them will stab him in the
back)
"I’m surprised by how many people, including
many Republicans, already presume Obama will be a two-term
president." -- former Bush and McCain
strategist Mark McKinnon, Link
He's lying.
He's not surprised, he's angry that, after Gore and Kerry,
we finally have a winner on our hands again.
Excerpt: This is one Christmas gift U.S. taxpayers don't
need. Construction of a $30 million dining facility at a U.S. base in Iraq
is scheduled to be completed Dec. 25. But the
decision to build it was based on bad planning and botched paperwork.
The project is too far along to stop, making the
mess hall a future monument to the waste and inefficiency plaguing
the war effort, according to an independent panel
investigating contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In its first report to Congress, the Wartime Contracting
Commission presents a bleak assessment of how tens of
billions of dollars have been spent since 2001.
The 111-page report, obtained by Whore AP, documents poor
management, weak oversight, and a failure to
learn from past mistakes as recurring themes in wartime contracting.
Anyone who reads bartcop.com
knows exactly what happened:
Bush's phoney wars were designed to create such
a giant f-ing economic mess
that nobody in the government had any idea where
all those missing billions went.
All you have to know about Bush's war spending
is Bart's Law #2. Any time a person or
entity makes a "mistake" that puts extra money (or power) in their pocket,
expect them to make that "mistake" again and again and again.
That's why the Beheaders were allowed to control
Iraq for years - to prevent some semi-honest journalist from
actually doing his job and asking why there were
no meters on Iraq's thousands of Halliburton-upgraded oil wells.
That's why the super-rich fabricate wars - to create confusion. When
the bank's on fire,
nobody notices the manager slipping out a side door dragging a very
heavy duffle bag.
Halliburton Sidebar: We haven't mentioned this in a while - Halliburton is an oil
field equipment services company, so naturally Bush gave them the contract to feed our troops on the
battlefield.
Halliburton got a non-performance contract (meaning they got paid even
when they failed to perform)
to feed the troops at, say, $50
a meal. Hey, it's hard serving hot food in a Beheader zone.
So Halliburton
then hired some other company to feed the troops at $25
a meal, which means Halliburton made $75 per day per troop in the war zone for six years - that's
a shitload of money to make for one phone call.
That's why the Bush bastards fabricated a phoney war - so they
couild make billions in profit
and anybody who asked for accounting was labeled "anti-troops" by Bush's
whore media,
not to mention that the invasion caused $40
oil to go to $135.
It was
so easy - with the media behind
me and the Democrats wetting
themselves in fear.
Excerpt: It started in December when he was asked why
he was making Hillary Clinton his chief diplomat after criticizing her
qualifications and promising Democratic primary
voters that his views on international relations were different than hers.
He responded by telling the questioner "you're
having fun" trying "to stir up whatever quotes were generated during the
course of the campaign." The implicit assertion
was that anyone expecting him to answer for campaign statements must
just be "having fun" -- and certainly can't be
serious.
A few months later, in reversing a five-year-old
commitment to support ending the Cuban embargo, Obama offered no
rationale for the U-turn other than saying he
was "running for Senate" at a time that "seems just eons ago" -- again,
as if
everyone should know that previous campaign promises
mean nothing.
At least that was a response. After the New York
Times recently reported that "the administration has no present plans
to reopen negotiations on NAFTA" as "Obama vowed
to do during his campaign," there was no explanation offered.
We were left to recall Obama previously telling
Fortune magazine that his NAFTA promises were too "overheated and
amplified" to be taken literally. It's
true that politicians have always broken promises, but rarely so proudly
and with such impunity.
We once respected democracy by at least demanding
explanations -- however weak -- for unfulfilled promises. Then we
became a country whose scorched-earth campaigns
against flip-flopping desensitized us to reversals. Now, we don't flinch
when our president appears tickled that a few
poor souls still expect politicians to fulfill promises and justify broken
ones.
Poor David Sirota - his little idealistic heart has been crushed by
the political realities of the presidency. .
Gee, David, were you nine years old when you told all those vicious
lies about Hillary?
Now Sirota's turning on the man who he was willing to lie for
less than a year ago.
Poor David, forced to grow up and face the real world when all he wanted
was a pony.
Bart, I'm still confused. Are we following the
Constitution or not?
Every election seems to take us farther away
from it to the left and the right.
Is it okay for me to be wiretapped?
Declared a terrorist?
Deprived of Habeus Corpus? Denied
representation?
See, I'm confused about all of this.
Now that Bush is gone, the man who called our
Constitution " a piece of goddamned paper",
the people on the right are claiming that their
rights are in danger. I don't understand that at all.
Did the last 8 years happen, or not?
Did that moron set the tone for America's future?
On the other hand, the guy we voted in to fix
all of this is dragging his heels.
He talks the talk, but he don't walk the walk.
Who is in control here?
I think the government is now a self-serving organism.
It lives only to serve itself and perpetuate itself,
no matter what happens to the country. Take the
DEA. They just declare something illegal, then they
go take enforcement action to show what a great
job they do. Of course, they'd be out of business
without drug dealers. Same thing with Homeland
Security,
And by the way, when will the troops come home,
and when will Gitmo be closed?
I'm not one of those teabagging idiots. They don't
even know what they are protesting.
I'm serious in questioning whether the US is
organized under a Constitution or not. Congress
doesn't seem eager to reaffirm the rights we
gave ourselves over two hundred years ago.
Neither does the President or the Supreme Court.
So what country am I in?
What are the rules now???
Steve in MT
Steve, I think I understand Obama's predicament a little bit.
If he goes too far in reversing Bush's over-reaching, and we get hit
again, the Fascist dogs
will say that's because a Democrat can't be trusted to protect us from
the terrorist threat, etc.
If Obama makes a mistake, the GOP echo machine will make him into another
Jeffery Dahmer
and if the #1 Democrat is another Dahmer, the Dems could become what
the GOP is now.
I'm not a big fan of the "Bush light" we're getting from Obama but I
understand it.
If Obama fails to play his cards right, President Huckabee might make
Bush look sane.
"A provocative speech from the president of
the United States, delivered in the heart of a Middle East capital. How will it play with the extremists? The
main takeaway from Fox: 'Why are we even talking to these people?' You're the network that most vociferously
and enthusiastically supported our attempt to reform an entire region through military action, but where you draw
the line ...is conversation?"
-- Jon Stewart, making FOX News suck it because the whore media is afraid
of them, Link
I think there's a parallel here.
The whore media allows FOX News to tell
outright lies because they're afraid they'll retaliate,
the same way no Republican can call Limbaugh
out because they know he'll mock them on his hate show.
Too bad the networks and cable whores and major papers don't have
the courage
that we see from Jon Stewart, Mike Malloy and some bloggers.
Excerpt: Now that we’ve elected President Obama and we’re
officially in a post-racial age. But I saw more black people
in a road trip from Atlanta to the Mississippi
Delta and back than I have in PittsburgH in the last year.
The New South, in case any other dumb Yankee besides
me hasn’t noticed what’s been obvious for decades,
is far more racially integrated – from top to
bottom – than the Old North.
I’m sure this is no newsflash to Georgians, where
blacks make up 30 percent of the population, or Mississippians,
where blacks comprise 37 percent. But I live
in PittsburgH, one of the country’s lily-whitest metro regions.
Nearly 90 percent of us western Pennsylvanians
are Caucasian and about 10 percent are black. Latinos and Asians
are almost as demographically rare here as Detroit
Redwing fans and Eskimos – sorry, Inuit. And in the southern
suburbs where I live you can go weeks without
seeing a person of any color except white.
How can this be?
I'll bet half the PittsburgH Steelers are Black.
Excerpt: Obama traveled to Egypt Thursday and delivered
an historic speech to the Muslim world at the University of Cairo.
For nearly two hours Obama spoke of the region's
various unsolved crises--such as U.S./Islamic relations, the Arab/Israeli
conflict, and terrorism--while extending an olive
branch to both America's friends and enemies alike. It was a brilliant
dissertation on accepting difference, overcoming
challenges and achieving a lasting peace. And it was a much welcome
departure from the Bush bastards' eight years
of reckless cowboy arrogance and bullying... No more swagger. No more
cockiness. No more inciteful hate-speech. It's
time for the frothing extremists in our country to tone down the incendiary
rhetoric, stereotyping and scapegoating and start
supporting the administration's effort to rebuild America's standing not
just within Islam, but all over the globe.
After eight dreadful years of Bush's arrogant,
polarizing, isolationist, xenophobic foreign policy, it's quite refreshing
to have a president who's smart, thoughtful,
engaged and passionate about building a true coalition for making the world
a better place. But Republicans hate the fact
that the world loves Obama. It's killing them. And they're working feverishly
to undermine him and the administration's efforts
to spread peace and goodwill rather than war and hatred.
America's military industrial complex can make more money with war than
with peace.
Republican war profiteers don't care how many soldiers get killed, there's
a profit to be made
and if they can't bring us to Armageddon, they'll bring Armageddon
to us.

Every step you take in life is a gamble.
Why don't more people doesn't see that?
If you ever buy a car or a home or some stock, you're gambling.
Trying to decide which job to take or which girl to date - you're gambling.
Should you fly home for Thanksgiving or drive? It's all gambling.
Why not embrace the science of statistics (and bluffing)
and be better prepared for life's gambles we're all faced with?
The final table of the main event is in November but since it's live

Bart, Dear ol' Jeff-Bob Sessions asked if
upcoming Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor would
"allow her personal views to color her decisions."
Interesting question, but is it relevant?
If my personal view is that the Constitution
is perfect as written, won't that make me a "strict constructionist?"
What about if I think it's "just a ***** piece
of paper," like one recent politician said?
Also, history tells us that Justice's personal
views always color their decisions. Scalia is the most open (I almost
said "honest") about this. For example
in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, he has insisted that combatants captured "on the
battlefield"
do not have to be tried in U.S. courts, including
the statement, "I had a son on that battlefield; they were shooting at
my son,
and I'm not about to give this man who was captured
in a war a full jury trial." In a school prayer case--I believe it
was
Independent School District v. Doe, but I'm not
sure--part of Scalia's reasoning to allow the prayer was that his
religion
requires evangelism. These sound like personal
views coloring decisions, don't you think?
Russ
Of course.
They claim they want a "strict constructionist" but they really want
someone
who shares their religious insanity and their faith in the non-existent
Cloud Being.
They embrace ghosts and they can't stand science and logic
because their brains can't handle the overload of consistency.

Excerpt: “Our business depends largely on trust,” said
Julio. “The idea is that Mexicans can only trust one another when they
are
so drunk they are almost blind. So in this bank
we always drink ‘tequila oils’ before we begin any negotiations.” I had
never
heard of a tequila oil. It had apparently been
named in honour of Mexico’s petroleum boom. Julio gave an order to the
waiter.
He came back with a double tequila mixed with
tomato juice. Then Julio took habanero chilli sauce and mixed it in. He
took a
bottle of black Maggi out of his briefcase. I
had seen the stuff in European restaurants, a sharp, aromatic version of
HP sauce.
He stirred enough in to turn the drink black
and viscous. It did look like oil.
“Try this. Just as the alcohol hits your stomach,
the chilli will as well and blow it back into your brain. It will take
your head off.”
And it did. Julio and I would turn up at a factory,
fence around the issues with the bosses and then go to one of the many
wonderful restaurants in the city. We would order
dried ants in chocolate, or mole poblano, the great national dish of dried
chillies, turkey and chocolate . Julio would
then get out his mixing kit, line up three or four of his tequila oils
in front of
everyone at the table and within half an hour
we would all be friends for life, and have a sensibly renegotiated loan.

Rio Premium Dry Aged 18oz Bone-In New York
Maybe the "strip" part of that was incorrect, but it actually had two

One on the side of the New York and then one holding the marrow which

I also had to choose a side and they all sounded funny.

Excerpt: The biggest economic collapse since the Great

conservative homilies came their way. Which has been the status quo
since November 1980.
No politician or President has ever enjoyed the
success that Ronald Reagen has enjoyed for doing literally nothing
other than creating an all encompassing visceral
hatred of the United States government.
Looking back it seems that the only reasoning
for this has been the anger directed at our acceptance of progressive
taxation which asks the wealthy - Ronald Reagan
and the GOP - to pay a higher percentage in taxes than the rest of us.
For all their screeching about less and smaller
government not only did Reagan and Bush enlarge the government
but they each increased the deficit each year
and more than doubled our national debt. The party of Borrow and Spend.
For 28 years, they beat us over the head with
"Tax and spend" and the idiot Democrats
couldn't even figure a way to list the damn facts and mention "Borrow

How is it possible for Democrats to be so clueless and sheepish at the
same time?
