"You know, all three of us spend a lot of time
covering politicians and they’re all emotional freaks. They’re guaranteed to invade your personal
space, touch you. I sat next to a Republican senator once at dinner and he had his hand
on my inner thigh the whole time.
-- New York Times whore columnist David Brooks, Link
And, of course, he won't say who that senator was because it's
the job
of a NYWTimes reporter to keep the sexual deviant secrets of
the weirdo Rethugs.
"I'm not telling you, I'm not telling you."
-- New York Times whore columnist David Brooks, asked to name that senator,

"I avoid dinners with Republican senators.
It’s usually far too gay a scene for me." -- Gayer-than-gay Andrew Sullivan, Link
Yet you keep their secrets AND lie for them - why?
Excerpt: "If this were the democracy that the Founding
Fathers thought they were creating, word from CIA Director
Leon Panetta that his agency had lied to Congress
and specifically that it had lied repeatedly from 9-11 through
the end of 2008 concerning an as-yet undisclosed
secret program, would have virtually every member of Congress
in a state of rebellion, demanding answers.
After all, the CIA is required by law to report
to at least the majority and minority leaders of the House and
Senate Intelligence Committees and to the majority
and minority leaders of both houses of Congress about such things.
But not only did the spy agency not report on
what it was up to; it lied about what it was up to.
"Why
is everyone making such a big deal out of nothing?"
"There’s this big piece in the Wall Street
Journal this morning that says that it was a number of different concepts for ways that we could
capture or kill al Qaeda leaders in the days after 9/11. I am really surprised that the Democrats decide
that that’s what they want to fight over. If they want to go to the American people and say that
they disagree with the notion that we ought to be capturing and killing al Qaeda leaders, I think it’s
just going to prove to the American people one more time why they can’t trust the Democrats with our
national security."
-- Liz Cheney, on why it's OK for the CIA to lie to its Director, congress
and the president, Link

How do you have the energy to do BCR, the Bartblog,

Koresh, I can barely get my shit moving by noon
some days.
It's nice, though, that someone shares the same
disdain for hate, hypocrisy,

Gonna contribute next month. I want more BCR!
Bart, ya keep me sane (mostly).
Thanks.

Maybe I could contribute to your blog occasionally?
Excerpt: Court societies invariably expend amazing amounts
of time and energy squabbling over arcane matters of order and degree.
Decaying aristocracies become obsessed with hierarchical
minutiae: who outranks whom, and for precisely which reasons?
So it is among the lords and ladies of Washington's
beleaguered press corps. Preoccupied with status issues in the best of
times,
many appear to find today's economic turmoil
doubly unnerving. Will metropolitan newspapers survive in anything resembling
their present form? If not, who will populate
the capital's fashionable drawing rooms? Have they made their way into
the royal
antechamber to find peasants in muddy boots putting
their feet on the furniture?...
Meanwhile, what makes Milbank scream? A breach
in decorum: a commoner treated as a member of the Beltway peerage.
During President Obama's recent press conference,
he invited a question from one Nico Pitney, a blogger with Huffington Post,
a liberal-leaning Web site. Somebody at the White
House had noticed that Pitney was in regular contact with Iranian protesters...
Milbank was nevertheless infuriated. A mere blogger
had been recognized at court. In a column that neglected to quote
Pitney's question or Obama's answer, he railed
at the impropriety: "Reporters looked at one another in amazement at the
stagecraft they were witnessing ... The use of
planted questioners is a no-no at presidential news conferences, because
it
sends a message to the world -- Iran included
-- that the American press isn't as free as advertised. But yesterday wasn't
so much a news conference as it was a taping
of a new daytime drama, 'The Obama Show.'
Did Milbank have a problem when Bush called on
a male prostitute for a planted, kiss-ass question?.

Palin says she will resign as governor on July

So, she's going to become a power broker?
No doubt, giving wads of cash to other brainless

Excerpt: The Obama Doctrine is finally coming into focus.
It’s been hard to glean its form because for so
long it seemed the president’s most obvious guiding principle was “not
Bush,”
Trust me - America loves taking the "not Bush"
path.
You, on the other hand, miss Bush's bungling
so much you can't stand living here.
...particularly when it came to the Iraq War.
Indeed, his anti-Bush stance has led him to stubbornly refuse to say the
war
has been won or to admit that he was wrong to
oppose the surge. In the past, this unthinking reflex has caused Obama
to
take some truly repugnant positions. In July
2007, Obama said that he would order U.S. forces out of Iraq as quickly
as
possible, even if he knew it would lead to an
Iraqi genocide. This makes Obama the first president in modern memory to
have suggested that causing a genocide would
be in America’s national interest."
Yeah, that's right - blame Obama for Bush's quagmire in Iraq.
Why don't you push Jeb for 2012 if you love the Bush bastards so much?

her positions, and sometimes in knowing them.
She couldn't say what she read because she didn't read anything. She was
utterly unconcerned by all this and seemed in
fact rather proud of it: It was evidence of her authenticity.
She experienced
criticism as both partisan and cruel because
she could see no truth in any of it. She wasn't thoughtful enough to know
she
wasn't thoughtful enough. Her presentation up
to the end has been scattered, illogical, manipulative and self-referential
to
the point of self-reverence. 'I'm not wired
that way,' 'I'm not a quitter,' 'I'm standing up for our values.' I'm,
I'm, I'm."...
"The elites hate her?" The elites made
her. It was the elites of the party, the McCain campaign and the conservative
media that picked her and pushed her. The base
barely knew who she was. It was the elites, from party operatives to
public intellectuals, who advanced her and attacked
those who said she lacked heft. She is a complete elite confection.
She might as well have been a bonbon.
"She makes the Republican Party look inclusive?"
She makes the party look stupid, a party of the easily manipulated.
"She shows our ingenuous interest in all classes?"
She shows your cynicism.

John, what do YOU call it when someone says,
"I'm not coming to work anymore?"
Bart, these people who talk about the first case
in which Michael Jackson
settled the lawsuit out of court aren't arguing
with the correct facts.
Michael Jackson wanted to go to trial against
that first kid. But, he had legal insurance
and they made him settle. This is exactly what
happened with Clinton and Paula Jones.
Clinton wanted to go to trial but the legal insurance
he had made him settle.
When you have legal insurance and they're paying
the bill you've agreed in advance
to do what they say if they decide to settle
out of court (for civil suits, not criminal).

"His reaction to the story that we may well

Liz, don't worry.
The Democrats wouldn't have the balls to put Dillinger on trial.
Excerpt: Palin's surprise resignation, amid negative press
coverage in Vanity Fair and elsewhere, suddenly revived dormant feuding
among campaign operatives and conservative media
figures -- notably between Steve Schmidt, the former campaign manager,
and Bill Kristol, the Weekly Standard editor
and Fox News commentator.
In ordinary circumstances, all their bitchy backbiting,
spinning and fabricating would be of little interest except as comic
entertainment for political junkies. Who first
called Palin a 'diva'? Who insinuated that she might suffer from postpartum
depression? Who searched computer files to find
out which staffer was leaking these bilious tidbits to the press?
And who cares now, eight months later, except
for these losers?
Plainly there is no reason why anyone should care,
except for one small nagging concern. It is worth remembering that these
are the same people who chose Palin, a manifestly
unqualified and incompetent politician unable to string together a series
of
coherent sentences, as the potential presidential
successor to a 72-year-old cancer survivor. So it would be refreshing and
salubrious to see the perpetrators of that contemptuous
and cynical tactic held accountable for endangering the country.
McCain was an old, unstable man and a cancer survivor.
The odds of Palin taking over for him were as high as 50-50.
How dare McCain endanger this country with his foolish gamble.
Bart,
Why are people questioning you and others who
tell the truth about Palin?
She deserves every critique she gets.
SHE is the person who drags her family out in
front of everyone at every chance
she is in front of a camera. She is one who speaks
without making any form of sense.
She called the media out to interview her Tuesday
while she “fished” with her “family business”.
In full makeup no less. This after blasting the
media because they will not leave her alone!
She has an addiction to the spotlight and will
do anything to stay in it.
Keep hammering away,

Hi, Bart,
When Sarah Palin pushed her family into the spotlight,
they became targets as did she.
When any comedian can take your words as a politican
and repeat them verbatim and get laughs,
you may want to either rethink what you are going
to say, or, get in another line of work.
Palin's idea that she had foreign policy experience
because she could see Russia from Alaska
is also a total fabrication. If you stand on
the West side of a small uninhabited island off the
coast of Alaska, you can see a large, uninhabited
island off the coast of Russia.
As for seeing Russian bombers, this is also total
BS. Having seen many B-52 strikes in Vietnam,
I can tell you this, you do not see the bombers,
just the dust from the bombs going off.
She knew or should have known she was not ready
for the major leagues, but she went anyway.
She wanted the glory, and this is the price that
HAS to be paid for that glory.
Keep swinging the hammer.
