in turn used Bin Laden and the Taliban and others
as a proxy terrorist army.
Of course he did, and he might still be working for the Bush bastards.
Without bin Laden, where would Bush have gotten
the excuse to expand presidential power
and spy on us and spend extra trillions on defense
and destroy the damn Constitution?

My hubby and I lived in Columbia for 3 long years
(seemed like three decades) and during that time he was laid off
and had to apply for unemployment. The

Most of the population is military or retired
military (Ft. Jackson, nearby Shaw Airforce Base) and RACIST to the core.
Most of the native born have never been out of
the state and thought we were "Yankees" since we are from Tennessee.
They had Blue Laws that had been in effect since
the Civil War, you couldn't shop on Sunday except for groceries and
even then you couldn't buy anything that might
cause you to "work" on the "Sabbath"......no laundry detergent,
no dishwashing liquid, no brooms or mops. It
was INSANE. Those have been repealed since that time, but it was
like
turning you calendar back a hundred years when
you crossed the state line. Oh yeah, one other thing, the liquor
stores
all closed at SUNDOWN. EVERY DAY.
Hell, we're from a RED STATE that caused Gore to lose, (Tennessee)
but we look downright LIBERAL next to those jerks)
So, yeah, folk there are hateful, ignorant, and
of course REPUBLICAN of course.
In their tiny little minds, a Democrat is equal
to a "Commie".

That would not surprise me.
It sounds like Phil Ivey was betting 50K at even
odds on events that were equally likely to occur,
without any house percentage at all. If I remember
Nick the Greek's rules, blackjack is the best game
- if you can keep track of the cards a little,
the percentage actually goes in your favor (keep track of them
a lot and you'll be invited to leave the casino)
