Excerpt: Coakley and this election are a wake-up call
for the left and for the Democratic party.
No, actually, it’s an ear-shattering warning
siren going off, and if the DNC doesn’t dig
the crap out of their ears and start listening
to the very people who voted them into
power a year ago, every hard won victory they’ve
had is in jeopardy...
The right had over eight years to screw up this
country with an unjust war, a devastated economy,
and incompetency in the face of natural disasters
and man-made ones alike before the voters had
finally had enough of it and got rid of them
– with the only other option available – our guys.
Don’t you believe for a second that by defeating
them in the last election that they can’t come back
to inflict more of the same on us. They’re still
in the water, hungry, circling our leaky boat. And all
they care about is winning. At any cost.
Our guys, the Democrats, with the popular backing
of the country and complete control
of the House, the Senate and the White house
have blown it… in only a year.
Can Obama and the Democrats learn from their ghastly
mistakes?
History says no - but maybe Obama will come to
work and change his course.
"The DNC isn't interested in your vote. They're
interested in your donation. No donation, no time. No donation,
no invite. No donation, you don't exist." -- osisbs, Link
I remember in 1998 I dropped by the DNC in Washington.
They told me I wasn't allowed into the building.
I told them, "But I'm Bartcop." and they said they never
heard of me.
At the time, I was one of the only "bloggers" sticking up for
Clinton.
Blow me - I didn't ask for permission.
I print what I fucking want to print, Douche
monkey.
And where do you get off threatening our president
with a gun?
I respectfully request that you remove it from
your site, and delete it from your server.
Who the fuck are you?
You think you can bark at me and I'll obey?
Blow it out your ass, Cubby.
I don't take orders from corn-fed handjobs.
Go circle jerk to a burning cross, Monkey, then
go fuck yourself.
If I want to hear from you, I'll pull on your
broke-ass tail.
If President Obama and the Democrats really wanted
to do something about the deficit
they should have eliminated the Bush tax cuts
for the rich in 2009 when they took power
rather that to let them run for an additional
two years.
It seems when it comes to tax cuts for the rich,
bailing out millionaires, bailing out banks,
bailing out insurance companies and big corporations,
there's no limit to the spending.
But when it comes to helping out the middle class
and the poor there's no money left.
We still have the Bush economy where the poor
are paying welfare to the rich.

Excerpt: The four men accused of trying to tamper with
Sen. Mary Landrieu's (D-Backstabber) office phones
share a common experience as young ideologues
writing for conservative publications.
Federal authorities said two of the men posed
as telephone workers wearing hard hats, tool belts and
flourescent vests when they walked into the senator's
office inside a federal building in New Orleans
on Monday. The other two were accused of helping
to organize the plan.
The most well-known of the suspects is James O'Keefe,
a 25-year-old whose hidden-camera expose
posing as a pimp with his prostitute infuriated
ACORN and made him a darling of conservatives.
O'Keefe and suspect Joseph Basel, 24, formed their
own conservative publications on their college campuses.
A third suspect, Stan Dai, 24, served as editor
of his university's conservative paper and once directed a program
aimed at getting college students interested
in the intelligence field after 9/11.
And the fourth suspect, Robert Flanagan, 24, wrote
for the conservative Pelican Institute and had recently
criticized Landrieu for her vote on health care
legislation. O'Keefe was a featured speaker at a Pelican Institute
luncheon days before his arrest. Flanagan is
the son of the acting U.S. Attorney for northern Louisiana.
Excerpt: Let's start with the theory that he's little
more than a lucky pretty-boy who opens his mouth to change feet.
As his two daughters can attest, dear old dad
sometimes says some pretty embarrassing things, as he did
during his victory speech when bizarrely announcing
that they were "beautiful" and "available." Or how about
his assertion that it was "not normal" for gays
to be parents. Or when he implied that Obama was born out
of wedlock. Fortunately for him, he's yet to
say he can see Russia from Cape Cod. As a friend of mine who
knew him at Tufts said, "he was just a big dumb
jock" who the smart girls didn't take too seriously.
But make no mistake: at least at this point, Brown's
no Palin. He may say some goofy things sometimes,
but so did Bush, and he chilled in the White
House for eight years. Brown could grow into a formidable
opponent to Obama in 2012. Honestly, with the
sheer lack of sexiness and excitement in the GOP right now,
if I were the party leaders I'd have started
grooming this guy for a presidential run yesterday. Stay tuned.
I suspect BrownWatch is going to get mighty interesting
going forward.
I don't know Bush about this Brown clown,
but he'd have to be one stupid bastard to be compared to Palin.
"The asteroid hit just as the final, small
adjustments on the HC bill were being completed. Getting that far along in the sausage-making
- keeping conservative and liberal Democrats together against total Republican obstructionism
- was like finishing a book on a lap-top, clicking save, and then watching it
accidentally delete the whole thing forever. It was staggeringly demoralizing for
the Democrats." -- Andrew Sullivan,
proud to be in the Party of Hate, Link
Watching Reid & Pelosi bungle health
care reminded me of Marsha Clark's O.J. trial.
Why did she make that trial last a whole
f-ing year?
By the time it went to the jury, those people were ready to go
home.
Everybody's sick of health care and we haven't even started yet.
Why, oh why did Obama turn his presidency over to Reid & Pelosi?
Is San Francisco as sick of Pelosi as Nevada is of Reid?
How did he do that in 8 years when Bush killed
only twice that many by decimating the country
with bombs and other weapons. Is there
any proof of that or is it just repeated year after year?
It never struck me as plausable and it still doesn't.
Ask you dozens of readers if any of them can
provide proof.
Dirt
Dirt, Clinton-hating Leftists aren't interested in proof or the facts.
Their goal is to scream lies at the Clintons - that's what they live
for.
BTW, usually they claim he killed 1,000,000 kids so claiming
he only killed a half-million makes them look fair and balanced.
"No, I don't think it's burned..." -- Kissyface, when asked if he burned
his bridge with the Democrats, Link
"You can run again as a banana, it doesn't
matter - you're toast, Douchebag!" -- dannyluv, Link
"The Dems better kick him out of caucus in
November and strip him of his chairmanship." -- Walter Mitty, wishful thinking the
Democrats would do something right, Link
"The Dems - and Obama - couldn't muster the
brains and the self-respect to boot Holy Joe after the '08 election, they're never
going to do it. anybody who thought Lieberman's vote could be relied on was living in a
delusional fantasyland. Voters are far more likely to support a party and a President who can make
tough choices and defend itself, even if it means a temporary political disadvantage. Average
people can discern weakness pretty easily, and ever since the election the Democrats
have been reeking of it." -- bluestate, Link
To this day, do Democrats realize how much trouble they're in?
Some of us have been screaming since August, but they don't listen.
I'm not sure what Bev Harris has done to earn
the ire of so many people.
I guess I'm out of the loop on her being crazy.
There is so much statistical evidence that our
elections have been stolen
someone needs get a little crazy. So could you
enlighten me as to her transgressions?
Dave B
Dave, it's been too many years, I can't give you the details but Bev
made so many
wild and crazy claims that she couldn't back up, I eventually promised
her in print that
if she was right, I'd fly to wherever she was and crawl across the
floor and kiss her feet.
Needless to say, I did no flying, no kissing.
Bev was screaming, "I've got the smoking gun"
but
then her failure to produce
that gun made her the best friend the crooked Florida recount ever
had.
Bev is to the Florida recount what Dan Rather is to Bush's military
record.
Black Box Voting is too important to be in the hands of a publicity-whore/clown.
She also did a famous
interview with Randi Rhodes.
Randi had been shilling for Bev for a long time, but when she finally
talked to her,
Randi found out she'd been supporting a crackpot fraud and it pissed
her off.
Every time Randi said "So Bev, dammit, where's
your proof?" Bev would say, "We're still working on it"
or
she'd give some long,
undeciferable answer that left Randi sputerring,
"So
what does that mean?"
This, after screaming "smoking gun" at the top of her lungs.
One last funny - if you Google Black Box Voting you'll see some
sites that start off
by saying "We are NOT affiliated with
Bev Harris," because she's the kiss of death.
"We might be entering a double-dip recession
and unemployment is in double-digits, and Obama is going to freeze spending?
What in God’s name is he thinking? This cedes the ideological ground to the Republicans.
At some point someone must make an argument for government. Why exactly did
I give money and make calls for this guy in 2008?" -- Jonathan Zasloff, from Obama’s
Self-Inflicted Lobotomy
Hey Bart, I listen to Thom Hartmann all the time;
he is truly brilliant.
He says if corporations are people, they should
be taxed like people.
If the actions they do kill people, they should
receive the death penalty (and be dissolved)
like people, and that they shouldn't be able
to merge or acquire other corporations-- that's
the equivalent of same sex marriage, which is
illegal.
To quote Thom on the difference between corporations
and people:
"A corporation today can have an infinite lifespan.
It doesn't fear death. It doesn't fear pain or incarceration. It doesn't need fresh water
to drink or clean air to breathe. It doesn't need health care or retirement. It can own others
of its own kind. It can change citizenship in a day. It can tear off a part of itself and create
a new corporation in an hour. It can amass virtually infinite wealth without that wealth ever having
to pass through probate or being subject to estate/inheritance taxes."
This is bad news.
Any country doing business is the US can give
a couple of million dollars to
a candidate in a close race and change our history.
Why would we allow that?
But then it is much different from the Korean Moonie Times giving out
fake news?
Or Australian Rupert Murdoch paying reporters and pundits to lie?
I've been saying for years that Democrats are all about being fair.
Remember the old westerns, when Little Joe Cartwright was in a fight,
he'd knock the guy down, then help him to his feet and knock him down
again?
But when the bad guy knocked down Little Joe, he'd kick him in the face.
I always wondered, why does the good guy always want to fight fair?
That's today's Democrats and I think I see the source of their confusion.
The Democrats seem to think they're in the NFL, and it's important
to
play by the rules because there's no shame in losing if you tried your
best.
They want to play the game with honor and that's a laudable goal,
but the other team is cheating so there's no way we're in a fair fight.
The Democrats don't understand that this isn't some damn football game.
It's the future of our country and health care and civil rights they're
supposed to be fighting for, but they're all hung up on playing by the rules
and it's killing us.
The Democrats have laid down their arms in the hope that the GOP teabaggers
will see that disarming themselves would be the fair thing to do, but
the GOP
just laughs at how gullible and naive the Democrats are as they shoot
at us.
I wish the Democrats would put winning first, for once, and playing
fair second.
Tell me, if you're walking with your wife on the street and some asshole
jumps out
from behind a bush with a knife and says,
"Give me your wallet and your wife," a Democrat might - I say might - engage him but as soon
as hey knocked the
mugger down, the Democrat would be all Little Joe and help the mugger
back to his feet.
Not me.
I'd wail on the bastard until a crowd pulled me off of him.
I'd beat his head with a brick until he stopped moving.
That's what we need in this life-and-death fight we're currently in.
More bartcop and less "Let's be fair."
I'm sick to f-ing death of fighting fair - and losing.
Democrats need to fight dirty - whatever it takes to win..

Excerpt: Pro-choisers are screaming “No” to a Superbowl
abortion ad featuring Florida Gators Quarterback Tim Tebow.
The whiner is featured in a 30 second ad, funded
by Focus on the Handjob, with his mother.
The National Organization of Women and other pro-abortion
women’s groups are crying foul,
reminding CBS that they have a long-standing
commitment to avoid controversial advertising.
Erin Matson, VP of NOW said to Politico, “The
abortion debate has no place in the Super Bowl.
I organize abortion rights rallies all the time
and I recognize how inappropriate it would be for me
to sit in the stands with signs at the Super
Bowl.”
I's much rather see Janet Jackson dance naked than a abortion ad during
the Superbowl.
Wasn't that their compalint back then? That so many children
and families were watching?
Think of the fights that could break out at drunken Superbowl parties.after
Tebow calls Pickles and the Bush twins, "Murderers."
Note: You can bet on if the ad will air at bodog.com Odds are CBS will break with tradition to appease the teabaggers.
Dude, you hit that one out of the ballpark.
Uber-kudos to you.
And the idea of an Israeli second Exodus to rebuild
Detroit and New Orleans? Brilliant.
But best of all is having a nuclear deterrent
to protect us from Texas;
if we'd had that, we might have avoided the Chimpy
and Poppy administrations.
Texas doesn't have nukes yet; hell, nobody there
can even pronounce it.

"I wasn’t in favor of having so many Clinton
people in this administration and nothing so far has caused me to change that
assessment. They’re nothing but trouble." -- Mark Thoma, blaming
Clinton for Obama's refusal to fight, Link
Mark, you forgot to mention how racist the Clintons are...
Let's try this again because I need to raise some money:
It didn't work before, probably due to my ineffective salespitch.
This would be perfect for two people needing a sudden,
expensive
flight.
If there's two of you and your flight is sudden and expensive
this is perfect for you.
Example: If you're in Los Angeles and you have to take a sudden trip to New
York
even Southwest is going to slam you for $1900
and I could save you, say, $500.
Example: If you're in San Jose and you have to take a sudden trip to New Orleans
Southwest is going to slam you for $1700
and I could save you, say, $400.
I've given/traded tickets before so I know this works.
But it's only for a sudden, long trip for two.
If you're in Austin and need to get to Dallas for Cinco de Mayo,
this deal's not for you.
Somebody's going to suddenly have a need for a pair of tickets.
I can help and save you money..
Excerpt: Obama spent his first year in office trying to
reassure the Washington/New York establishments that he
was not going to upset their apple carts too
much, that they shouldn’t panic, that he would – despite all
the speeches – be more about continuity than
change.
And he succeeded. The big banks were pulled back
from the brink; the auto industry survived; the stock markets
rebounded; a new Great Depression was averted;
the national security elites praised Obama’s more nuanced rhetoric
as he continued many of George W. Bush’s war
policies..
Yet the first major political judgment on Obama’s
“responsible” behavior came from Massachusetts
when a little-known right-winger was chosen by
the voters to fill Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat.
It turned out that what Obama had accomplished
politically in his first year was to associate
himself and the Democratic Party with the widely
despised national establishments.
I forget who, but someone said a basic flaw in the Democratic plan is
you can't win the White House
without accepting millions of dollars from the corporate bastards who
are strangling America.
Excerpt: It is an irony of the Obama administration that
its basic attitude toward Clinton-style governance is hostile.
In private many of Obama's aides sound lke Bush’s
advisers in disparaging the Clinton years.
That's true - many Democrats see the Clinton years
as the bad old days.
How did I get stuck in a party that hates winning
and is addicted to losing?
The people around Obama are romantics. They dream
of Obama as a transformational figure,
looming large on history’s stage. They see Clinton
as a transitional figure, whose poll-tested
pragmatism and incremental policies loom small.
Clinton has been there. After a Democratic disaster
in 1994, a shaken president recovered in time for
an easy reelection in 1996. But Clinton learned
a lesson along the way that surely applies to Obama:
The only thing other politicians really respect
is popularity and power. When Clinton’s approval ratings
were high, his own party got in line. When they
were low, Democrats were happy to pile on...
Clinton once told me that one of his secrets was
to run toward controversy and political weakness,
rather than follow the natural human instinct
to run away from them. So he traveled to New Hampshire
to talk with hunters who were angry about gun
control, even though his own advisers thought he was
"crazier than the March Hare" to do so. Clinton
was also willing - albeit grudgingly - to acknowledge that
he had made mistakes during his rough start as
president. This allowed independent voters who were upset
with him to view his presidency through a more
sympathetic narrative - that of an earnest president who was
ready to learn from his mistakes - rather than
to join Republicans in rooting for his failure.
Will Obama imitate success or will he imitate failure?
He needs to decide because time is running out.
