"I studied journalism, my college degree there
in communications.
That's
not even a sentence.
And now I am back there (back
there? back where?) wanting to build
some trust back in our media.
How
can you build trust in our media when you can't take unscreened questions?
I think the mainstream media is quite
broken and I think there needs to be the fairness, the balance in there (the
balance in there?) - that’s why I joined
Fox. Fair and balanced, yes." -- Sarah Palin

"We finally win power in the House, Senate
and White House and we're sitting on our hands. That's why people are frustrated. They
want decisive action. I hate to criticize my own party but what great things have they done?" -- Pa. State Senator Jim Ferlo, wishing Obama would

Excerpt: Tea Party leader paid by GOP run campaign to
promote party goals. One of the Tea Party's top leaders
was recently paid $7,500 by a campaign run by
a California Republican group to promote one of their ballot initiatives.
Mark Meckler is a spokesman for the Tea Party
Patriots and had publicly distanced himself from the Republican Party.
But state records show that he accepted the money
for "petition circulation management" from the "Citizen Power
Campaign Supported by the Lincoln Club of Orange
County."
The Lincoln Club is a key player in state politics
and this latest initiative is an ambitious act of political skullduggery.
The Citizen Power Campaign is trying to put a
measure on the ballot come November that would make it illegal for
taxpayer money for political activity.
Why? Because that would remove a key source of funding for the public
employees union, making it more difficult for
pro-labor candidates to get elected.
The Repugs are claiming that unemployment insurance
is free-loading
and a burden on tax payers and the Dems do nothing
to correct this.
Unemployment INSURANCE is just that, it is INSURANCE
paid for
by the very same people that are now unemployed.
These people are
only collecting the money that they themselves
put into the pot.
It’s like paying for house insurance for 30 years
and then
getting money when your house burns down.
Are these people free-loaders also?

Excerpt: Bush has
promoted gays to high office including Ken Mehlman formerly of the RNC.
At his
frat house, Bush became known as "a jock sniffer".
"Bush
has lost the ability to control himself. He is broadcasting gaydar at 100,000
watts."
George
earned the nickname Lips Bush for his skill at giving oral to frat buddies,
circa 1965.
An old
boyfriends, Anthony Berusca, told The Dallas Morning News that Bush was
"deeply conflicted about being
gay, even somewhat self-hating."
Excerpt: Let's get one thing straight, as the nation's
esteemed TV news networks appear determined to obscure
simple facts for ratings-building melodrama.
The U.S. Senate has already passed Obama's healthcare reforms
by a filibuster-proof majority. If Speaker Nancy
Pelosi can persuade a majority of House Democrats to pass
the Senate bill, that's the ballgame. There's
nothing complicated about it.
All this scare talk about Democrats using the
"nuclear option" or launching a "kamikaze mission" is the crudest
kind of partisan propaganda. Using the Senate's
reconciliation process to make fiscal changes to a bill already
passed was standard operating procedure under
President Bush. It's grimly amusing watching Senate Republicans,
who spent years telling Democrats to get over
the suspect 2000 presidential election, now pitching hissy fits over
the prospect of a simple majority vote.
How many times did Vice President Dick Cheney
emerge from his Fortress of Solitude to break 50-50 tie votes
in the Senate? Eight times. As Paul Krugman points
out, Bush used reconciliation twice to pass tax cuts for tycoons,
increasing the national debt by $1.8 trillion.
There's and old political joke that goes like
this. "What is the opposite of progress? Congress!"
But that joke has never been more true than it
has lately. This is especially true of the Senate.
I'm not sure which is worse, that a single senator
held up government to settle a political score
or the fact that the rest of the senate let him
do it. Senators from both parties hold up important
legislation and appointments to get their little
piece of pork for themselves and their district.
America is in big trouble and our elected officials
aren't taking their jobs seriously.
"The People" are supposed to be the owners of
America. But to these politicians
"The People" is little more than a slogan they
use in their political ads.
"These Democrats are disgusting. Wimps and
wusses and weasels. You know, get some spine. When Republicans get elected, they
go "Get outta my way, there's a new sheriff in town." What they do is crazy. But dammit,
they are good at it. We should take a page out of their book." -- Michael Moore, wishing Obama would come to work,

Excerpt: Nissan is recalling 540,000 vehicles worldwide
to fix faulty brake pedal pins and inaccurate fuel gauges.
Nissan said no accidents or injuries have been
reported, but the company is initiating the recalls based on
three reports of brake pedal pins partially disengaging,
hindering braking ability.
A separate, unrelated fuel-gauge issue can lead
to inaccurate fuel readings in certain trucks and minivans.
The gauge may show gas left when the tank is
actually empty.
I talked to my old boss at the used car lot yesterday.
How is business?
"Terrible, nobody's buying new cars so nobody
is trading in old cars so inventory sucks. People want to purchase a car for $3,000
but I tell them Cash for Clunkers made them all go away."
Are the banks lending?
"Only to the very best blue chip customers
- everyone else is cut off."
What's up with Toyota?
"They made some mistakes and mishandled the
recall but they're still the quality standard. Obama's in the car business now and
he's eliminating the competition."
"Yeah. No question about it, he’s done several
things well... He boosted our effort in Afghanistan,
which is the right course to take." -- Mitt Romney, yesterday on The Today
Show, Link
"He's made some classic errors. He should
have been making sure that we're successful in our fight against terrorism
around the world particularly in Afghanistan. But instead he diverted onto health
care." -- Romney, 12 hours later on FOX Whore News,

GROW A SPINE AND PASS HEALTH CARE REFORM NOW -
I work for an insurance agent. I know how evil
the Health Insurance/Pharma CARTEL has become.
I'm also so old, I remember when health insurance
was regulated, and NON-PROFIT, (pre-Reagan.)
When it was a service, not a business. Being for-profit
now, it's not in their best business interest to pay anyone's claims.
It's that simple. Their collective greed has,
and continues to destroy not only the national economy (effecting the world
economy in the process), but millions of people's
lives as well. As your constituent, I demand that if you fail to pass this
legislation without either a public option/Medicare
FOR ALL, or non-profit choice, you give up your lifetime health benefits
THAT WE, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, PAY FOR. I'm also
asking you to stand with President Obama and get
comprehensive health reform DONE. It's the only
decent, moral, HUMANE thing to do, and our economy, our families,
and our nation require nothing less. Otherwise,
we deserve better than your sorry selves if you let us down AGAIN.

"Obama had his first physical exam as president
over the weekend. The doctor said he was in much better
shape than the country." -- Jay Leno, being hysterically funny - AGAIN!!!
Excerpt: When Rahm Emanuel was riding high last summer,
expanding his power while swatting down retarded liberals,
the New York Times published a long profile presenting
him as the undisputed master of Obama’s universe.
According to that story, he was "more chief than
staff." He was taking names, kicking ass, setting policy
and micromanaging down to party invitation lists.
Nowhere did he or anyone around him complain back
then that Emanuel could not make his will done in the
White House, or worry that the president was
not listening to him. That particular profile suggested that Obama
himself had informally forbidden everyone from
"cooperating with staff profiles," which was why "Mr. Emanuel
declined a formal interview for this article."
To describe someone as declining a "formal interview"
sounds like another way of saying that he spilled
everything off the record or on background, of
course. Which seems to be what Rahm is doing these days,
either himself or through cutouts.
"Bush says while he was president he would
enjoy the occasional cigar. On a rare occasion, he would have a
cigar because he said it helped him think. I want to tell you, occasions don't
get any more rare than that..." -- Letterman

Quotes
"Bill Clinton called Tiger Woods to offer his
support. They have things in common, I guess. It reminds me of the time Bush called
Homer Simpson after Homer stapled his face to a doughnut." -- Jimmy Kimmel,
Excerpt: The Republicans' strategy for motivating their
base this year -- is fear. Fear of President Obama, fear of change,
fear of some giant socialist revolution, of death
panels, of government bureaucrats and liberals and anything else
that might pop up. Still, you wouldn't expect
the Republican National Committee to come right out and admit to that.
That's exactly what RNC Finance Director Rob Bickhart
did, however, as part of a fundraising presentation.
The presentation included several slides that
portray the GOP's own supporters in a very negative light,
giving the impression that the RNC believes its
donors are stupid, and that it plans to treat them that way.
One of the slides divides donors into two groups
-- major donors and smaller ones. The latter group, the slide says,
gives for visceral reasons: "Fear" and "Extreme
negative feelings toward existing Administration" are listed. The slide
also tags this group with a term usually used
in an less-than-flattering sense: "Reactionary." The major donors don't
fare much better; they give, the slide says,
for "Networking Opportunities" and "Access" and they're "Ego-Driven."
Another slide says: "What can you sell when you
do not have the White House, the House or the Senate?
Save the country from trending toward Socialism!"
Our braindead Democrats are going to stand there
like statutes
and let the GOP paint them in every negtaive
color possible.
Why can't our side learn?
People say, "Both parties are the same" but that's
not true.
One fights, one cheats, one steals.
The other party wets themselves in fear and crawls
under a table.
If only we could find a way to inject them with some Bartcopism.
Excerpt: All that's clear is Leno's not particularly straining
to keep the job now that he has it again.
Monday's monologue was detached, tired and short
on laughs; Tuesday brought more of the same,
including some of the same jokes and targets,
from Russian Olympians to Toyotas, airlines and George Bush.
Isn't there an air of desperation to this whole,
sad project?
A going-through-the-motions feeling of retreat
instead of advance?
What you have is a show that now simply seems
to be too small for its platform — and sadly adrift.
Which won't stop it from sailing on again tomorrow,
just as it did for 17 Leno-led years.
Here's to the next 17.
Wake America when they're over.
NBC owned late night - I guess all my life.
But the idiots in charge decided to "fix" that 50-plus year winning
streak.
Law &
Order bait & switch
NBC is truly the whore network.
For weeks they've been promoting the Kathy Griffin/Mariska
Hargitay lesbian kiss on SUV.
They even released the clip and the kiss was
just barely a peck on the lips, less than one second,
but in the episode last night they started to
kiss ...and stopped before their lips met.
And just like the Toyota deal, this is NOT about
the kiss, it's about NBC lying.
Of all the major networks, NBC is the worst.
I remember watching Homicide on NBC years ago,
and the preview editing was done
to make you think one thing was happening, but
in the episode the opposite was true.
Nobody lies to you more often than NBC.
I have a feeling Kathy Griffin is pissed about
the bait & switch but she's trying to get
an Emmy nomination out of this guest appearance
so she's going to play it cool.
NBC you are standout whores in a whore-dominated
business.
