Capizomics.com A regulated free market economic system for democracy Quotes "The terrorists do not function in a vacuum. I know a lot, and what I have said, as clearly as I know how, is that states are supporting these people.” -- Rumsfeld, talking about the hijackers the week after 9-11 Link Do you think Cheney and D.M.F. told Rummy to ix-nay on the audi-say talk? Send e-mail to Bart Rove vs the Koch brothers
Oddly enough, we should root for Rove Link Karl Rove's team and the Koch brothers quietly coordinated millions of dollars in political spending in 2010, but that alliance, which has flown largely under the radar, is showing signs of fraying. And with each network planning to dwarf its 2010 effort, Republicans worry that the emerging rivalry between the two deepest-pocketed camps in the conservative movement could undercut their party's chances of taking the Senate and White House in 2012. The billionaire industrialist brothers David and Charles Koch plan to steer more than $200 million - potentially much more - to conservative groups ahead of Election Day, POLITICO has learned. That puts their libertarian-leaning network in the same league as the most active of the groups in the more establishment-oriented network conceived last year by veteran GOP operatives Rove and Ed Gillespie, which plans to raise $240 million. The fault lines revealed themselves this summer, when the camps split on the highest-profile conservative movement issue of the day: The biggest groups in the Rove-Gillespie network supported Boehner's bill to increase the debt ceiling and the Koch brothers' primary political group, Americans for Prosperity, pressured conservatives to oppose it. Why should we side with Rove if this mess? Rove might be an evil racist bastard, but he's sane. Someone said, "If Obama tells a Lady Teabagger she has a nice smile, look for her to shoot herself in the face to prove Obama was wrong." One other thing: Rove is no genius - forget that idea. He's just smarter than our can't-be-bothered-to-try Democrats. Send e-mail to Bart

No and it only takes seconds to prove it Link Herman Cain has a plan to radically reform the nation's tax system and make things a lot simpler for taxpayers. Problem is, it could end up adding to the deficit and shifting the tax burden away from the wealthy and onto the poor, according to some leading tax experts. Cain, who's recently moved up in the polls, is basing much of his campaign on what he calls the 9-9-9 plan, which would get rid of almost all current taxes and replace them with a 9% flat tax on income, a 9% flat corporate tax and a 9% national sales tax. Cain claims his system would raise as much tax revenue as the current income tax, corporate taxes and payroll taxes. And he believes his plan could bring in additional revenue by boosting economic growth. Pure bullshit. Cain is a rich man who says, "If you're not rich, blame your own lazy ass." Cain doesn't weant to make taxes "simpler," he wants to pay less taxes. And when the rich pay less, the poor pay more or the size of the pie shrinks. You want the pie to shrink? You want fewer cops and fewer firemen? How's Texas doing after Perry laid off more than half the volunteer firemen? Do you want fewer detectives and prosecutors? Do you want fewer women's centers for abused families? Do you want the snow plow to clear your street on Day One or Day Nine? Do you want fewer women's centers for abused families? Do you want fifty power restorers after a tornado or 500? Do you want fewer meat inspectors and less paint on that slick road at night? And the last thing - the super-rich already have everything they'll ever need but food. But a young couple needs a home, bedroom furniture, drapes, washer-dryer, kitchen furniture, TVs and computers, a lawnmower, the list is endless because young people need everything. and everything they'll need to purchase will come with an extrea 9% tax added on top, just so super-rich cain can pay less taxes, oh, Boo Hoo for poor old rich Mr. Cain. As always, the super-rich are fed up with non-millionaires. They want someone else to pay the bills - you and me. Send e-mail to Bart Halloween is just around the corner! Buy early - get THE costume you want! If not, you'll get stuck with the Sonny Bono costume Also, check out their Sexy Halloween Costumes Thanks to Daoud The 'trick' they played on Amanda Knox Link Amanda Knox said she was falsely told she was HIV Positive by prison officials, who forced her to compose a list of all the sexual partners she’d had -- a list that was leaked to Italian media and published. Knox wrote in her diary at the time of the faux diagnosis: "Please oh please, let it not be true. I don't want to die." "I think the Italian courts ... practically made sure that Amanda was going to be harassed in prison,” said Vanity Fair's Judy Bachrach, “since they made her sex life so much of a focus of the first trial.” I didn't follow this story much - but that little trick pisses me off. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Are Mormons Cult Members? A Baptist preacher recently said at a political conference that Mitt Romney wasn't a Christian and the the Mormon church was a cult. The way I see it if Mormons are not Christian and are a cult then Baptists are the same. Both religions are splinter groups that evolved from the Catholic Church which was where the Christian religions started. The degree of coercion and ritual in these two religions is about the same. So if Mormons are a cult the Baptists are a cult too. The real question voters should be focusing on isn't what the candidates religion is, but what kind of relationship they have with reality. Do candidates understand cause and effect? Do that believe that bad decisions have consequences. Do they respect the concepts of examining facts and evidence? Are you willing to put reality first in making your important decisions? I'm not interested in whether or not your invisible friend is better than some other invisible friend. What I want to know is if you have a vision for the future of America and a plan to take us from where we are to where we need to be. Marc Perkel Send e-mail to Bart The

The super-rich got out before the crash. The super-rich were paid for the houses their crooked banks sold for twice the value.. You buy a house for $300K - you sell if for $1 million. After the housing crash, the super-rich strill have that $1M. Each time someone says the money "was destroyed" or it "evaporated," those who emptied out the banks are very, very grateful. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Jon Stewart and protestors Bart: Jon Stewart has long had animosity toward protestors, especially those who do more than just stand around with a sign in their hands. In fact, every time either side has a protest, he constantly belittles any protestor who dresses in costumes, especially if they're liberal and make a point. This is the one feature of Jon Stewart I've never liked. It's as if he feels protests needed to stop in the 60s. I guess he feels they're passé, or that someone dressed on stilts in an Uncle Sam costume makes the whole movement irrelevant. He's the king of anti-protestors, the king of false equivalencies. I like the man, I like The Daily Show, but as intelligent and keen to politics as he is, he just doesn't get what protests do, and he doesn't care. Eric from OH Send e-mail to Bart Sarah Palin Nude
Link Send e-mail to Bart Christie to Endorse Mittens Link In what could be a game changer for Romney, Chris Christie will endorse him today in New Hampshire. Christie's move comes just a week after he opted against his own bid for the GOP nomination. There have long been hints Christie might throw his backing to Romney. The big question is whether social conservatives and tea party handjobs will now take a second look at Romney--just as the many of the donors who had been holding out for a possible Christie 2012 bid have now transferred their support to Romney. Christie has a chance to change history today - I wonder if he'll take it? Christie needs to come out and say, "Our great party has been hijacked by crazy people. They might mean well but they are crazier than a runover dog, in my opinion. So I am endorsing Mittens to bring some sanity back to our sinking ship. Our party is so fucked, we could to a Black guy with a wrecked economy." That's what he needs to say - will he grasp this golden opportunity? Send e-mail to Bart Joe the Plumber is running Symbol of Teabagger Stupidity Link America's whore media says the 99% lack a coherent meggage. Last night, whore CBS talked to maybe 30 occupiers. Then they edited it to play the goofiest comments from the goofiest people. All they need to say is "TAX the RICH!" That'll get the conversation started. Send e-mail to Bart The Amish Scissors Wars Forced beard-cutting is the issue "Hi, we're crazier than Catholics..." Link The leader of a breakaway Amish group said an attack on fellow Amish in which a man's beard was cut off was a religious issue stemming from long-standing resentment of his group's treatment. Sam Mullet, 66, said the goal was to send a message to Amish in Holmes County that they should be ashamed of themselves for the way they were treating Mullet and his community. "We'd like to get up in the morning, be left alone, live like normal people," Mullet said Monday. "They won't leave us be." Mullet said he didn't order the hair-cutting but didn't stop two of his sons and another man from carrying it out last week on a 74-year-old man in his home in rural eastern Ohio. "I didn't order anything like that," he said, and added: "I didn't tell them not to, I'm still not going to tell them not to." Mullet said the Holmes County group changed the rulings of the church and were trying to force his community to change. Well, isn't that special? Two factions of the same sliver of religious insanity are cutting each other's facial hair off to please The Invisible Cloud Being. Oh, how proud He must be to have followers like you. They're playing on Thanksgiving, right? Link The Lions (5-0) are undefeated through five games for the first time since 1956. Detroit and its fans were clearly fired up for their first Monday night game in a decade. The Lions had their largest crowd at Ford Field and the 67,861 fans created enough noise to rattle the Bears into nine false starts. I hope Detroit runs the table. I hope they win every game - including the Superbowl. Send e-mail to Bart TV Stuff On Dave tonight, a guest is a female horse wrangler. She made headlines lately by taking on a grizzly bear.
