Barbour Felon Kills Woman

A felon pardoned by Gov. Haley Barbour stands indicted on three counts in the 2011 highway death
of 18-year-old Charity Smith. Harry Russ Bostick, will be arraigned May 24. A grand jury indicted
Bostick on charges of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and DUI-death.
The indictment claims that on Oct. 7, 2011, Bostick drove a motor vehicle while intoxicated and
caused the death of Smith and her sister seriously injured in the accident.
Last January, Barbour issued pardons, clemencies and other leniency for more than 200 people.
Among them was Bostick, who was under arrest for violating his probation from a DUI-3rd charge,
although Barbour and his spokesmen claim they didn't know it at the time.
Before Smith's death, Bostick had three DUI arrests and was going through a court-mandated
drug rehab program. With three DUIs, he faced possible imprisonment. But Barbour's pardon
erased that third DUI, which removed Bostick's jail jeopardy.
IF the Democrats wanted to win in November, (should I bother to finish this sentence?)
they could point to Haley Barbour's pardons and mention how soft the GOP is on crime.
Of course, listiung the facts isn't something Democrats do - wouldn't be nice.

Florida's idiotic "Stand Your Ground" law is coming under more scrutiny, this time in a case involving
a woman sentenced to 20 years in prison after firing a gun in the direction of her abusive husband.
Marissa Alexander was sentenced last week after a Florida judge rejected her defense citing the
"Stand Your Ground" law, which allows people to use deadly force in a case where a person is
attacked or believes his life or safety is in danger.
Alexander, a 31-year-old mother of three, claimed in court that she fired a warning shot into the ceiling
of a house after her husband threatened her and moved in her direction. The husband was not hit.
In issuing the ruling, the judge said Alexander could have escaped the situation instead of firing her gun.
Florida's minimum-sentence guidelines require Alexander to serve 20 years in prison
because a gun was fired in the incident.
So, in Florida if you fire a warning shot you get 20 years in prison?
If I lived in Florida, I doubt I'd own a gun.
Why own a gun if you get 20 years for warning an attacker to stay away?
And how's Trayvon's murderer going to go free since he had EVERY chance to
escape the situation instead of firing a bullet into Trayvon for walking while Black?

There was one in the opening credits of the "Get Smart" TV show in the mid-late '60s.

He did NOT count on Obama waging a jihad against his legal business
that was helping sick people.
