Rodham Clinton said on Tuesday that Russia is sending attack
helicopters to Syria, warning that the conflict there could escalate
without a regime change.
"We are concerned about
the
latest information we have that there are attack helicopters
on the way from Russia to Syria," Clinton said, echoing remarks she
made last week
calling for Syrian President Bashar Assad to be
removed from power.

After being shocked by tragedy and witnessing one of the more miraculous recovery stories
in recent years, voters in Tucson, AZ chose to keep Rep. Gabby Giffords’ (D) seat blue Tuesday night.
Ron Barber, a former Giffords staffer, defeated Jesse Kelly, Giffords’ last Republican opponent, in a
special election to fill Giffords seat after she resigned. Overcoming a Republican lean in the AZ-08 district
(registration is 38 Republican and 31 Democratic), the AP reported Tuesday that Barber won.
He’ll now serve out the remainder of Giffords’ term.
So, Sarah Palin's "Lock-and-load Second Amendment solution" failed to make a difference this time.

That is Obama's first term in a nutshell.

So Tally claims that Obama signed the order to close the military base at Guantanamo Bay
the second day he was in office. An Executive Order. Hmmm.
So...all those subordinates running the facility at Guantanamo Bay are still there?
They didn't close the facility? They didn't leave, as their Commander-in-Chief ordered them to do?
Isn't that mutiny? Isn't that treason? Isn't that disobeying a direct, written order?
I'd like to read that Order. I'd like to see it. I'd like a legal military expert to read that Order
and interpret it, if need be. I'd also like to know what other President has issued direct orders
to his subordinates who failed to carry them out because there was no money...
Tally has chosen an example that makes Obama look MUCH WORSE than Tally understands.
When Obama's own military won't follow his direct, written Executive Orders...not only is Obama
in trouble, we ALL are. I guess the Pentagon Boys just put up with him and his Executive Orders
...and do whatever the hell they want.
And the pathetic excuse that Congress won't fund it? Please. Please. PLEASE...it doesn't
take direct funding for each flight to and from Guantanamo to bring soldiers there and back.
Each military flight isn't paid for individually...with all the flights AWAY from Guantanamo
subject to Senate approval.
All Obama has to do is order them to come home. If they don't come home, they're in trouble.
The reality is this: Promising to close Guantanamo Bay became a political hot potato, and Obama CAVED.
I like Tally a lot, but he's wrong if he thinks Obama can pass the buck on this one
...or any other issue that we see with our own eyes.

The way I see it, Obama promised more then he could deliver.
Candidate Obama said, "I'll get this done," so asking congress to do it doesn't fly.
It's also possible that Obama caved in 100 times so he could say, "I tried everything to work
with the snarling dogs, but each time I reached out, they bit the shit out of my hand."
IF that was his strategy and IF he gets re-elected and IF he turns Democrat
in his second term, it might end up being worth it, but that's a lot of IFs.

Obama Trade Document Leaked

A critical document from Obama's free trade negotiations with eight Pacific nations was leaked
online early Wednesday morning, revealing that the administration intends to bestow radical new
political powers upon multinational corporations, contradicting prior promises.
The leaked document has been posted on the website of Public Citizen, a long-time critic of Obama's
trade objectives. The new leak follows substantial controversy surrounding the secrecy of the talks,
in which some members of Congress have complained they are not being given the same access to
trade documents that corporate officials receive.
"The outrageous stuff in this leaked text may well be why U.S. trade officials have been so extremely
secretive about these past two years of [trade] negotiations," said Lori Wallach, director of Public
Citizen's Global Trade Watch in a written statement.
Looking at the big picture, remember right after the election, when Obama declared that
Traitor Kissyface would NOT be punished for the knives he put in Obama's back?
I said it at the time - BIG mistake, because it sends the signal that it's OK to fuck with Obama.
If you fuck with Obama and cause him great pain, that's OK, he will forgive you.
Maybe that's why Obama is having these leak problems now - because everyone knows that
no matter how much you hurt the president, he'll smile and say, "That's OK, I forgive you."
That might be a nice way to run a religion but it's f-ing suicide in politics.

Indiana Law: OK to shoot cops

Police officer’s in Indiana will have to be a little more careful when they make house calls,
or pull drivers over nowadays, after a law was passed to allow regular citizens to shoot any officer
they feel is illegally breaching their property.
Just like Florida - murder is legal if you "feel" a certain way?
Indiana state Senator Michael Young, who authored the new law with the support of the NRA
said it was necessary to create such a law after a state Supreme Court issued a ruling last year
that “there is no right to reasonably resist unlawful entry by police officers.”
David Koresh was ahead of his time, eh?
Of course police organizations in the state tried to oppose the law out of fear this will give
some people in certain situations that are not deemed unlawful, to put officers trying to deal
with the situation, in harms way.
Tim Downs, of the Indiana State Fraternal Order of Police, said that the law could open the way
for people who are under the influence or emotionally distressed to attack officers in their homes:
“It’s just a recipe for disaster. It just puts a bounty on our heads.”
“If I pull over a car and I walk up to it and the guy shoots me, he’s going to say, ‘Well, he was
trying to illegally enter my property,’” Sgt. Joseph Hubbard said. “Somebody is going get away
with killing a cop because of this law.”
It's OK with the GOP if more cops are murdered - as long as they can win more elections
and put more of the tax burden on the middle class so the super-rich can pay less taxes.
We're OK with that, right?
