"A gas that makes u believe too many ppl & causes some to attack others,

Almost half of America is religiously insane.

I used to think racism was America's biggest problem,
but then I realized religious insanity causes much more damage.

Jon Stewart Caused the Shooting
Right-wing has all kinds of people to blame

 Link

New York Times bestselling handjob Joel Rosenberg tied Jon Stewart to the CT shootings,
because Stewart is part of “the cultural war against Jesus and Christmas” that helps “drive
God out of our society, our of our schools and courts.”

Rosenberg cites the War on Christmas, and how “We are, in many respects, in a moral
and spiritual freefall in our country, and we are paying a terrible price.”

Rosenberg, who has previously linked Hurricane Sandy to abortion rights, is an evangelical.
Says Rosenberg: The demons of violence are on the loose in America. But why?”

The answer is as painful as it is simple: the further we turn away from God in our nation
— the further we drive Him out of our society, our of our schools and courts, the worse
things are getting.

Feminism caused the Shooting

The Right is sticking to that theory

 Link

The dogged wish of many on the right to make the tragic Sandy Hook shooting about anything
but guns means that it has to be about other things — ideally, things they already do not like.
Things like feminism, abortion or anything else that contributes to the oppression of white men.
And when it came to the last point, solipsism was not limited to the right.
Here, a guide to the lowlights.

Blame Obamacare and abortion.
Blame our feminized culture.
Blame sexual frustration and/or bring up made-up black rapists.
Blame women and people of color for not being nice enough to white men as they’re robbed of privilege.

In other words, ladies and marginalized people: Can’t you be a little nicer in this apparently zero-sum
game of rights grabbing? Or else this otherwise shining young man will shoot a bunch of children.

"Keep and Bear," Not "Buy and Sell":
  by The Rude Pundit

Link

In 1989, now-deceased conservative megahero and Amish bearded fucksack Judge Robert Bork said,
"I'm not an expert on the Second Amendment, but its intent was to guarantee the right of states to
form militia, not for individuals to bear arms." In the same lecture, he added that "assault weapons
could be banned under the Constitution," and that other restrictions on guns were constitutional.

In 1991, he went at the gun rights' lobby: "[T]he National Rifle Association is always arguing that
the Second Amendment determines the right to bear arms. But I think it really is people's right to
bear arms in a militia. The NRA thinks that it protects their right to have Teflon-coated bullets.
But that's not the original understanding."

"The Second Amendment was designed to allow states to defend themselves against a possibly
tyrannical national government. Now that the federal government has stealth bombers and nuclear
weapons, it is hard to imagine what people would need to keep in the garage to serve that purpose."

Damn, that's the first time I've seen Bork make any sense.

Subject: Ban all guns now

Bart -- Lessenberry is correct, it's far more likely (40-1 according to the FBI )
that some night when you're whacked on weed and tequila you'll blow your brains out
in a depression-filled funk instead of saving the world from some criminal.

I may have an IQ of 64 but I don't play with my guns when I'm drunk and high.

The time to start taking the guns out of peoples hands is now,
We simply cannot be trusted,
Regards
 Stew

There is a mythical Perfect World where genies go back inside their bottles
buit we don't live there. We live in the real world, where guns are here to stay.

Subject: If everyone had a gun...

Bart, you wrote:

“The problem is, if "everyone" has a gun, what kind of country is that?”

Israel? They seem to avoid shooting each other at least.
  Bill F

Good point, which begs the question:

Why do Americans shoot each other for no reason
when other countries with guns don't?

Women Caused the Shooting
If only we could get rid of them...

 Link

A writer for the National Review hypothesized that the shootings in Newtown, Conn.,
would not have occurred if the school had more men around.

Insane handjob Charlotte Allen wrote:  There was not a single adult male on the school premises
when the shooting occurred. The teachers, the principal, the assistant principal, the school psychologist,
the “reading specialist” — were female. There didn’t even seem to be a male janitor to heave his bucket
at Adam Lanza’s knees. Women and small children are sitting ducks for mass-murderers.

Some of the teachers managed to save all or some of their charges by rushing them into closets or bathrooms.
But in general, a feminized setting is a setting in which helpless passivity is the norm. Male aggression can be
a good thing, as in protecting the weak — but it has been forced out of the culture of elementary schools and
the education schools that train their personnel. Think of what Sandy Hook might have been like if a couple
of male teachers who had played high-school football, or even some of the huskier 12-year-old boys, had
converged on Lanza.

Crazy Charlotte seems to be saying if some men had been there, they've could've
walked thru those assault-rifle bullets and punched the shooter out and saved the day.
But those pearl-clutching, swooning-from-the-vapors vagies are damn-near worthless.

This is why I say Democrats should always win every election by 30-40 points.
Their side has to make up the most ridiculous shit to try to make their points valid.

All we have to do is tell the truth - but Democrats often prefer muteness.

Subject: your art auction

Bart, I think you should start the bids with a minimum.

I think starting with a minimum bid of $50 each would be reasonable
otherwise someone could bid $1.00 and come away with a piece of art
that would cost more to send to them than what they paid for it.

It would be nice if you got enough of a donation to make a difference.
 Steve

Steve, I think that's a good idea.

We will start the bidding at $50.

Bart, there are prob a lot of artists that visit your site….
How about if we each donate one pc of work for you to auction off?

A photo print……or a sketch…. could be a good way to raise some $$$$$$$$ for the site.
I wish I could send cash but biz is slow and I have 3 kids to put food on.   ha ha
  Mario the Photographer

Mario, that's a good idea.
The artists would get some exposure, too.

So far, we have a $30 bid on the Bart Simpson photo.

The Dark Side of Gun Cults
  by Gene Lyons

  Link

“One of the worst days in the history of our country,” my friend Dan Kennedy
wrote on Facebook. “The worst day since 9/11.”

Twenty first-graders. Do his motives even matter?

The guns that ended Nancy Lanza’s life in her own bed indeed belonged to her.
Living alone with a troubled teenaged son she kept at home because the stresses of
school were more than he could handle, she adopted the least sensible hobby imaginable.

She became a gun collector and avid target shooter, and she took her son along.
Something of a mathematical whiz with a loner’s passion for computers and videogames,
he probably took to the mechanical precision of expensive, semi-automatic weapons.

The same kind of false bravado that has persuaded Bushmaster Firearms to advertise its
.223 caliber AR-15 rifle with a stark black and white photo of the weapon propped on an
oversized ammunition magazine and the slogan: “Consider your man card reissued.”

Seriously now, how pathetic is that?

Prove your manhood by plunking down $1,200-1,500 for a deadly toy.
Was this Nancy Lanza’s hope for her cowardly son? We’ll never know.

American automaker General Motors from early 1988 to 1991.
