After voters chose to legalize pot in Colorado and Washington state, we wondered whether
Obama’s old school hardon for harmless flowers would shrivel, but the answer is now clear.
But as this crackdown suggests, hall monitor Obama will not be backing down.
In January, South California medical marijuana dispensary operator, Aaron Sandusky,
was sentenced to ten years in federal prison for running a legal California business.
Now, as the East Bay Express reported, “a new round of actions against lawful pot
dispensaries in the South Bay” has begun.

Several senators who voted against increasing background checks for gun buyers
have since seen their approval ratings noticeably drop, according to new polls.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski's (R-Alaska) net approval rating dropped 16 points, as she shed
much of her previous cross-party appeal. Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) saw his numbers
dive 18 points, from a positive to a negative rating.
In Alaska, Arizona, Nevada and Ohio, at least 60 percent supported background checks,
and many expressed disappointment with politicians who voted otherwise.
Fifty-two percent of Arizona voters said they were less likely to support that lying shit
Sen. Jeff Flake (R) due to his "no" vote, while 46 percent of Nevadans said the same of
Sen. Dean Heller (R). More than a third of voters were less likely to back Alaska Sens.
Mark Begich (D) and Murkowski. A previous poll found that Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.)
also saw her ratings tumble 15 points, likely due in part to her vote against background checks.
WTF were these cowards thinking?
Their choices were to anger voters the NRA and they chose to anger voters.
They KNEW background checks were supported by 89% of the voters and they said,
"Screw my bosses, I want that NRA endorsement" and now they're screwed.
...unless, of course, the meek and mild Democratic mice decide not to list the damn facts
for the super-fporgetful idiot voters in the debates coming up before their next election.

Over the last few days, the Obama administration has conveyed far-from-conclusive statements
about the use of chemical weapons in Syria. When one hears phrases like "with varying degrees
of confidence," it's quite a stretch to regard anything as certain.
And yet it doesn't stop many on the right -- including more than few right-leaning friends of mine
-- from directing criticism at Obama, claiming he had a "red line" which appears to have been crossed,
so what is he waiting for? It's another chance for them to hopefully cast him as a wobbly Democrat
when it comes to making difficult decisions about going to war or intervening militarily in another country.
As always, Obama's no dope. He remembers all too well what happened when the prior administration
acted on very inconclusive intel about WMD. He's definitely not going to make that same mistake.
However, suppose the intel is 90% or 95% on-the-mark, that it's very likely Syria did indeed use
chemical weapons, but yet it's not 99.9% ironclad. Will Obama delay in favor of getting a near-100%
certain answer from intelligence sources?
The way I understand it, it's a numbers thing.
If 10-20 people have strange symptoms, that's one thing.
If a village is gassed and hundreds of people die,
Obama will have no choice but to explain things to Assad.

Hell yeah we want the police to search for bombers, arrest them and let the DA
prosecute their suspected asses, in front of a jury of their peers, Koresh and everybody.
That is the rule of law.
That is what I wanted after 9-11, too.
In these searches for bombers, however, I DO NOT want the police ALSO finding a joint here,
a plant there – and then handing THAT over to the DA for prosecution as well.
Lockdowns and door-to-door searches for A SPECIFIC, NAMED and PHOTOGRAPHED PERSON
who is believed to be hiding in a specific area, it seems to me is a very different thing from blanket
searches and arrests based on whatever the police can find.
Just a few thoughts from the land of the midnight sun.

Former Green Bay Packers safety LeRoy Butler is out an $8,500 appearance fee
after a hate church canceled his appearance because he congratulated NBA player Jason Collins.
On his Twitter account, Collins wrote Monday, “Congrats to Jason Collins,” the basketball player
who declared he is gay. The Wisconsin church Butler was to appear at didn’t like that and Butler
shared the details via his Twitter account.
“Wow, I was schedule to speak at a church in WI, and a member said that the pastor wants to
cancel my event, I said ok why?
“Then I was told, because I said congrats to Jason Collins on twitter,
I said "Really? We have a contract," and the pastor said "Check the morals cause."
“FYI the fee was 8500$,then I was told if i removed the tweet, and apologized and ask God
for forgiveness, I can have the event, I said "No. Only god can judge,”
First thing, a shot of Cuervo Gold in a filthy glass to coward Brad Biggs for not identifying the hate church.
Why is Brad going out of his way to shield the haters in this story?
Second, I hate $100 that says that pastor's morals clause is bullshit.
Butler didn't get arrested for lewd misconduct - he wrote "Congrats" to some athlete.
He should sue that hate church for his $8500 fee and teach the haters a lesson.
If Jesus was real we could ask him if he loves gays and he'd say, "Of course,"
but he's as real as the Easter bunny so there's no sense in getting into that.
And a giant "Fuck you" to that hater preacher.
You time is over, Asshole.
You haters are dying out and there's a new day coming.
Kids today don't automatically hate someone because their pastor says they should.
Maybe that hate church should hire gay-hater Chris Broussard to speak instead.

NMike HAD to say that - they had NO CHOICE.
If they had dropped Collins today they'd see a backlash of historical proportions.

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Fascist) said Monday that he has changed his position on
gay couples adopting children, WKOW reports.
He was asked why he doesn't support same-sex marriage. Ryan said that while he
believes marriage should only be between a man and a woman, he now regrets voting
in 1999 to ban same-sex couples in the District of Columbia from adopting children.
"Adoption, I’d vote differently these days. That was in my first term, 1999 or 2000,"
Ryan said. "I do believe that if there are children who are orphans who do not have a
loving person or couple, I think if a person wants to love and raise a child they ought
to be able to do that. Period. I would vote that way."
Ryan claims he changed his position on same-sex adoptions years ago.
Probably the top reason Thurston-Ryan lost last year is that they are such terrible liars.
Hey Paul, why didn't you mention DURING THE CAMPAIGN that you were pro-gay adoption?
And how can you be FOR gays adopting a child and be AGAINST gay marriage?
Don't you want that child growing up in a stable home with loving parents?
Do you want that child to grow up watching his Dad "date" a new guy every night?
I think Ryan is flat-out lying.
He's not pro-gay adoption, but he sees the writing on the wall.
He might be one of the few Republicans smart enough to realize their party is dying
because the world is chaging and if the dinosaurs can't change they'll die out.

My Google and Amazon checks were down again for April.
At this rate, I'm not going to make it till next Christmas.
I bought a $9 reading light for my keyboard (On a cloudy day I can't see the keys)
but it didn't show up on my Amazon earning report which means I'm losing money.
Sometimes the links work, sometimes they don't. That's unacceptable.
I wrote to Amazon, they replied with:

Of course you don't - why bother to try to increase sales?

I'm still getting enough hits to make a livng at this

six kings (Haakon VII of Norway, Ferdinand I of the Bulgarians, Manuel II of Portugal, Willhelm II
of Germany [also known as the Kaiser and originator of the short-lived fashion for starting world wars],
George I of the Hellenes and Albert I of Belgium) which clearly beats the hand in front of only three kings
(Alfonso XIII of Spain, George V of UK, and Frederick VIII of Denmark).
The poker rules became more like the American ones a few years later and these kind of games died out.
However they were the inspiration for The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper.
