Advertise on bartcop.com Quotes "Healthcare costs flatlining? Hmm, I wonder if the guy in the White House has anything to do with this...." -- The Angry Liberal, Link Send e-mail to Bart Obama, the Insane Criminal Really? It's like that for the next two years? Link They say absolute power corrupts absolutely. That adage applies more than ever to the president of the United States, his administration and the Wall Street flunkeys that sit in Congress. But the corruption extends beyond the usual meaning of a dysfunctional moral compass to include the incapacity for intelligent reasoning and self-reflection. The political class of most powerful country on earth has been so over-indulged in arrogance and hubris that it is no longer able to realize how ridiculous it appears to the rest of the world. In short, criminal insanity seems to be the condition of US rulers and their puppets, including those in the mass media. The American president and his cronies on Capitol Hill preen and talk as if into a charmed mirror that reflects loveliness to the beholder, yet the rest of the world sees ghastly, frightening clowns, loaded up on self-righteousness, delusion, inordinate firepower and a reckless ease for squeezing the trigger. Indeed, such is the ridiculous posing by Washington that the US - the world’s number-one terrorist state - seems to have added a new weapon to its arsenal of planet-destroying armaments - one that induces uncontrollable laughter in victims to the point of death from asphyxiation or from a busted gut. So out-of-control is the delusional US president that it took Vladimir Putin to make a telephone call and remind Obama that he is a Nobel Peace Laureate and should act accordingly instead of playing with fire that might engulf the region and the entire globe. I'm tired of this movie - can we change the channel? A few days ago I thought Obama might actually win this Syria vote, but no more. This thing has spun so wildly out of control, I'm thinking he's in over his head. He's got Kerry and Hagel talking about how "limited" this "non-war" is going to be, but McCain and Fabulous didn't sign on until Obama promised "to arm the rebels." Once we arm the rebels, you know Putin is going to run supplies to Syria. Didn't we allready see this movie? It was called "Korea" the first time we saw it and "Vietnam" the secone time. Plus, everyone agrees "No US boots on the ground," but now they're saying, "Don't make it illegal for us to rescue someone if, somehow, they land on Syrian soil." In other words, "we'll try to avoid boots on the ground if possible." The Tuesday speech is likely to convince nobody. America looks at Obama and all they can hear is George Lying Bush so they tell the evidence to go fuck itself. I'm tired of hearing, "YES, it's terrible when a tyrant gasses hundreds of children, BUT..." If our Boy Scout had a little more scoundrel in him, he would've slapped Assad back in 2011. He's never heard, "It's easier to ask for forgiveness later than get permission up-front." Since nobody, not the Democrats and not even England, will stand with this American president, he has little choice but to publicly admit what everyone privately knows - that he is very weak, his words are not to be taken seriously and America isn't the same country it was twelve years ago. Chevy Impala Wins
'Best Sedan'
Take that, you better car makers Link Cars.com has named the 2014 Chevrolet Impala the winner of the site's Full Size Sedan Challenge. The challenge put seven sedans against each other in a series of extensive expert and consumer testing to determine which car deserved the title as best overall full size sedan. In addition to the 2014 Impala, other full size sedans tested include the 2013 Chrysler 300, 2013 Dodge Charger, 2014 Ford Taurus, 2013 Hyundai Azera, 2013 Nissan Maxima and 2013 Toyota Avalon. "The Impala, which was drasticly redesigned this year, blew us all away with its stylish looks and impressive drivability. In all honesty, this redesign brought the Impala from one of the less desirable full size options to the absolute best in the class," said Olsen. Send e-mail to Bart Free Math Tutoring

Why didn't Obama handle this when the banks came begging for money? Why didn't he break them up into the Top Ten Banks of America? Why are banks allowed to gamble with money we taxpayers have guaranteed? We don't get the profit when they bet correctly, but we're on the hook for the losses the incompetent bastards run up? Why did Obama allow that horseshit to continue? Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Obama & Syria Bart, you write: < Really? Obama is a calculating, conniving warmonger who gassed hundreds of Syrian kids? I don't think it is Obama but the neo cons who are still running much of our intelligence and covert operations that are capable of anything to get control of more oil and destabilize the Middle East. The POTUS can direct the government about as much as someone can steer an ocean liner with a canoe paddle. Probably as soon as someone gets in the White House they are told what they can do and can't do. "Nice family you got there Barry, wouldn't want anything to happen to them." The system is way stronger then any person or political philosophy. Just look at how after Holder and Obama said that states can have legal marijuana, the US attorney for Northern California said she was going to continue prosecuting marijuana cases against dispensaries that are following state laws. Cynically, Your Friend Rohn Is that US Attorney a decent person doing what she thinks is right? Or is she a crazed Teabagger, looking for any excuse to impeach the Black guy who eventually decided to follow the will of the voters? On the other, yoiu're saying the NSA might be coercing/blackmailing Obama? Obama does have his hand-picked man running the FBI and CIA, right? Are you saying there's another level of government above the President? I hope you're not saying that. Send e-mail to Bart Did Russia just Blink? Why would they blink? We're the ones in trouble... CNN: Syria "welcomes" Russia's proposal for Assad's regime to put its chemical weapons under international control, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem told reporters in Moscow today. That works for me. Assad turns over ALL his chemical weapons to somebody (not us) and we call it a crisis avoided. Of course, this makes Russia look like the level-headed peace-keepers who were able to stop American Madman Obama before he had a chance to kill more Muslins. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: More Un-Syrianty Bart, You may think that, as a Democrat, I should be supporting the President in his desire to strike Syria. I can't think of anything I've disagreed with him on as strongly as this. (And I have disagreed). Let's put it this way, and go back to the way it started, Obama has now crossed MY red line. And that red line would be getting us involved in the civil war in Syria, with all sorts of unintended consequences. I know what the President says, but he and Kerry can't promise (or should I say keep the promise) it won't morph into something bigger. Frankly, I'm not convinced that is not what they want. They really want a regime change, I believe. Kerry seems to have gone off the rails on this. I don't thing they are being 100% truthful. I am unable to see a good ending to this for all parties, no matter what. Can you? Mary Lou I think Obama should accept Ruussia's suggestion that Assad loses all his gassy toys, declare victory and stumble on to the next crisis. Did everyone know NASCAR was croooked but me? but then, who cares? It's grown men driving fast cars in a circle. Bart's Law Number Two Any time a person or entity makes a "mistake" that puts extra money (or power) in their pocket, expect them to make that "mistake" again and again and again. So Nascar will continue to be crooked - because that's where the money is. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: It's like Bush and Iraq all over again It feels like we are in Dick Cheney's 4th term as Obama beats the drums of war pushing hard to strike Syria. And just like Iraq they don't want to wait for the UN report to figure out which side was the ones who used chemical weapons. The rest of the world wants to wait for the inspector's report and if we attack then it is us who is violating international law. And it will be especially bad if it turns out that the rebels manipulated us into doing their dirty work for them. And even if we do strike, what is the purpose? Bring down Assad to give Syria to al Qaeda or the Taliban? And since Obama seems to think he can strike without the approval of Congress why should Congress even bother to vote? And then there's the missing question, who is going to pay for it? When we have an issue here with unemployment, food stamps, medicine for the elderly, or disaster relief they always ask who is going to pay for it. In 2008 Obama ran against the Republicans and Hillary on the basis of voting for the war in Iraq. Now Obama wants Democrats to vote for his war and not wait for the UN inspector's report? Speaking of Hillary, I don't hear her coming out to endorse this war. She's not going to make that mistake again. I think Congress should vote no and impeach Obama if he strikes anyway. After a Nearly 20-Year Hiatus, the one-time king returns Link It’s been a long wait. Arsenio Hall’s well-remembered late-night talk show, a phenomenon in the early 1990s, encompassing moments as varied as the candidate Bill Clinton playing saxophone and Magic Johnson revealing he had contracted AIDS, has been gone since 1994. But after several false starts, when the rhythm wasn’t quite right, he is ready to jump back in, starting tonight. Is there room for Arsenio Hall again? At the age of 57? Is there an audience for his brand of hip party, mixing comedy and music more evenly than any host before or since? One long-experienced late-night hand, Robert Morton, gives him a shot. “He’s got his finger on pop culture, sports and politics, and he seems to be a guy that knows what he wants and has figured out a way to get it,” said Mr. Morton, the longtime producer for Letterman and George Lopez. “Will America buy it? Anyone’s guess. He and his team are aware of an older audience” that is “hungry for a show that’s aimed at them. If he can capture that segment solidly, he could be a contender.” Twenty years ago, Arsenio was a big deal. He got Oprah-level guests, the biggest starts came to him to get on TV. Arsenio was on live during the 92 LA riots - seems like the whole country watched him that night. Can he do that again? They're not saying who the first guests will be - who could it be that's big? Maybe have Jay-Z and Beyonce come out and do a song? Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Checkmate Syria, not ONE nation on our side, That means nothing Bush had 40 nation-allies when he invaded Iraq and they were all dead wrong. black unemployment highest since the 20's, Yes, it's a shame what the GOP did to Clinton's robust economy. min wage 15 bucks.... No, it's closer to $8. Obama now has proven beyond ALL doubt is the single most inept, stupid, illiterate, ass bag to ever hold office. a crazy person Crazy person, now and then you should let some facts leak into your argument. Clinton left peace and prosperity to the warmongering Bush bastards. The Bush bastards turned peace and prosperity into war, death, debt and depression. Obama prevented Bush's crash from being worse, he stopped two wars and doubled the stock market while reducing the debt - oh, and gave America health care. Suck on that. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Obamacare Bart, not sure that obamacare is the best thing for us, but I do believe that there has to be healthcare reform. What bothers me is that the very pricks who decide what's best for us, aren't covered by it. Te only path to viable healthcare reform in this country, is for our elected officials to have the same piece of pie that their constituents have. hotdoglou Send e-mail to Bart When in San Francisco, be sure to visit The Beat Museum 540 Broadway San Francisco, CA 94133 And visit Kerouac.com for all your Beat needs! Without ACA, the dreaded "Obamacare," Bonnie would still be standing on the edge of a cliff without insurance. This was a great thing for her! In 1954 Edsel Ford handed control of Ford Motors to his son Henry Ford II. Anxious to bring Ford back into the modern era, Henry the Second hired Italian Gian Paolo Boano to construct a one-off show car on a new Lincoln chassis. This is the result – the stunning 1955 Lincoln Indianapolis. The car was first exhibited at the 1955 Turin Motor Show. As you can see from the pic, the design is very futuristic, and was inspired by 1950s aviation. The result was a flamboyant and bold concept. After the Indianapolis was shown in Turin, it was sent to the United States where it was consigned back to Henry Ford II. After using it as his personal car for more than a year, it is believed that Ford gave the car to his friend, Errol Flynn. Paul in VA Send e-mail to Bart What is today's History Mystery?
