"Ex-cooches - n. the excuses Republicans will use to rationalize why nominating an anti-sodomy candidate in 2013 wasn't a terrible idea." -- LOLGOP in a tweet Last I heard Terry McAuliffe was 9 points ahead of oral-sex-is-illegal Cuccinnelli in Virginia. I can't find the link, but I heard Cuccinelli wants to make this race a referendum on Obamacare. No, you don't, because you're going to lose and that means people LIKE Obamacare. What are you, like, stupid or something? Send e-mail to Bart Snowden Owned by Russian Spies Now naive to trust the Russians over America Link You might want to read the whole story, lest you think I'm shading it, somehow. Edward, what have you gotten yourself into? Send e-mail to Bart There He Goes Again This Just In from CNN: Health care manufacturer Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiaries will pay more than $2.2 billion to resolve criminal and civil investigations over allegations that they marketed three drugs for uses that were never approved, and that kickbacks were paid to physicians and to a long-term care pharmacy provider, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said today in Washington. Once again, the billionaires get caught and once again they pay a fine, probably 10 cents on the dollar, and nobody goes to jail so Johnson and Johnson will most certainly be selling illegal drugs later this year, too. Send e-mail to Bart Did Ted Cruz Inhertited Crazy? His father is jusr as crazy as Ted Link Mother Jones, the website that brought Romney “47 percent” gaffe has posted a video of Ted Cruz’s father saying he’d like to send President Obama “back to Kenya.” Rafael Cruz, a Dallas-area pastor, made the comment to Teabaggers in 2012, during his son’s successful campaign for the US Senate. “We have our work cut out for us,” the elder Loon says on the video. “We need to send Barack Obama back to Chicago. I’d like to send him back to Kenya, back to Indonesia.” The comment by the father of a prospective Republican presidential candidate – and one who speaks frequently on his son’s behalf – is laden with irony. It suggests that when it comes to Obama’s origins, the senior Cruz may be a “birther,” even as his Canadian-born son has had to defend his own eligibility to be president. Send e-mail to Bart Making $ in the Pot Gold Rush Who's going to make the most? Link It’s no secret that when the gold rush is on, the person in the best position is the guy making the picks and shovels. Much of the pessimism that surrounds marijuana-industry penny stocks is the severe competition. Most people who set out to strike it rich looking for gold will never find any — and not every company with a foot in the door of the medical or recreational marijuana industry will succeed. But everybody — those who fail and those who win — will be buying the equipment necessary to compete. Growlife may be the company selling those picks and shovels to the marijuana industry right now. Through brands like Stealth Grow LED, SGsensors, and Phototron, the company is engaged in the business of providing would-be marijuana growers with the tools they need to thrive. This equipment falls under the umbrella of the urban gardening industry. The company operates both retail locations and an online storefront. Growlife is also fully reporting — a huge plus. The company also owns and operates cannabis.org, which puts it front and center in the ongoing conversation about the legalization of medical marijuana. Jennifer Love Hewitt Fired "Client List" gone after too many demands Link There will be no third season of Jennifer Love Hewitt‘s Lifetime series The Client List. Lifetime and Sony TV were in a creative standoff with star Hewitt over storylines for a potential third season after the actress, who is an executive producer on the show, had requested that Brian Hallisay, her baby daddy, also play her character Riley’s baby daddy on the show. The issues became too much for Lifetime and Sony TV, leading to today’s formal cancellation. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: hey Bart! Your e-mail could've gone here. Send e-mail to Bart

Link Send e-mail to Bart Obama "To Pay a Price" for Lying Says Van Jones, fired when GOP demanded it Link On "This Whore with Judas Maximus," Crossfire co-host Van Jones, a former Obama administration official, said the president would "pay a price," for reversing course on his now famous promise that those Americans who like their plans could keep them if them if they wished under Obamacare. ""And he overpromised. And he will, listen, he will pay a price. 'Mission accomplished,' you pay a price. 'No new taxes,' you pay a price. 'You keep your plan,' you pay a price," Jones said. White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer, who appeared on "This Week," defended the president. "If the president didn't intend to keep this promise, why would he have gone out of his way to put a provision in the law that specifically says that if you have a plan before Obamacare passed, you can keep that plan," he asked. So, what's up with Van Jones? A. He really believes what he saying. B. He's full of sour grapes for Obama firing him back in 2009 or orders from Glenn Beck. C. Like most Democrats, he's got no clue what to do politically. I'm betting on "C" until I get more information, but isn't that just like a Democrat? To go on TV and "admit" their president is a lying SOB? You've never see a GOPer do that. No, that "special loyalty" comes courtesy of the Party of We Hate our President. Isn't the truth behind Obama's "lies" that IF you lost your insurance it wasn't worth having anyway and at least this way you now have real insurancs that will be there for you? And IF, say, Aetna cancels your $400 a month policy but XYZ Insurance can cover you for $500, isn't that proof that Aetna COULD cover you for $500, but its' just not enough profit for them? And if XYZ can cover a stranger with pre-existing conditions, why couldn't Aetna cover you, especially since you've been paying the bastards monthly premiums since goddamn 1990? Send e-mail to Bart Colorado is "New Amsterdam" It's smart to promote tourism that way Link The state's new progressive marijuana laws have established Colorado as the world's first legal, regulated and taxed recreational marijuana market for adults -- just call Colorado "New Amsterdam." These new laws in Colorado and Washington state are without historical precedent and the consequences will likely be closely-watched around the world. Adult-use marijuana retail stores are expected to begin opening in January 2014. Non-residents will be able to purchase a quarter ounce at a time. Subject: how to fix Obamacare Hey Bart, Commenting on your response to Steven B's letter, I feel I must tell you that as a dumbass Okie with an I.Q. of 64 your solution to the Obamacare problem reflects all the very qualities of your severely limited intellect. That follows... People with real, properly developed brains can come up with sophisticated and complex solutions that leave ordinary people in the dust, solutions incomprehensible to the lumpen masses and their simplistic reasoning. Why come up with a simple solution that everyone can understand, when with a bit of "clear " thinking one can come up with a convoluted, impenetrable mass of rules and regulation? That's why we pay our legislators and their minions, the bureaucracy, and consultants to government big money. Jeez. Albie in Newburyport. I'm not sure what that means but I'm going to gamble and say "Thanks." Send e-mail to Bart A
new book about those notorious American resisters and truth-tellers,
Dr. James Fetzer and Dr. Kevin Barrett. Fetzer and Barrett, career academicians and longtime radio-show personalities, in the past hosted a radio show called “The Dynamic Duo.” Click to Order It all comes from that day, 22 November 1963, at 12:30 PM in Dallas. From that day we got Oklahoma City, we got 9/11 and Afghanistan and Iraq. From that day we get this day, today — our world, our lives — whatever is yet to come in Syria, Iran, perhaps even WWIII. We can choose to watch it unfold on TV, or we can do something. For years and years, Fetzer and Barrett have done everything they can. This new book is a biography of Jim Fetzer and Kevin Barrett. But it is also a call to resistance: Stop the wars End the empire Help the poor The GOP Civil War Continues
The 'baggers don't like the Reigious Right Link Remember when Evangelicals were the staple of the Republican coalition? Turn them out and you could win any national election. Well, they are fast becoming the fringe of the GOP. The GOP is now roughly split into three factions: one-third Evangelical, one-quarter Tea Party and one-quarter moderates. These focus groups comprise the base of the Republican Party. Evangelicals are apparently beside themselves over losing the culture wars. They “believe their towns, communities and schools are suffering from a deep ‘culture rot’ that has invaded from the outside.” Their main focus is homosexuality, but they’re also concerned about the decline of small (white) towns. But the Tea Party folks couldn’t care less about social issues. Gay marriage. Abortion. “Who cares?” said one Tea Partier from Roanoke. Another Roanoke Tea Partier agreed: “I think it’s not important.” A Teabagger from Raleigh who said he didn’t support same-sex marriage but also said it wasn’t the job of the government to intervene. “I personally don’t agree with gay marriage, but I don’t think the government should say who can get married and who can’t. It’s not their business,” he said. So...the craziest Republicans also have a streak of sanity running thru them? I think I'm going to love this civil war even more! Send e-mail to Bart America is reconsidering marijuana. But even as medical applications are recognized and Colorado and Washington roll out regulations for recreational use, the definition of “abuse” is still subject to debate. Until only a few years ago, any marijuana use was drug abuse. Refraining from pot was good. Using it was bad. Then, as medical marijuana gained recognition, users of marijuana ended up split into medical and recreational users, the worthy and the wayward, the legal and the criminal. But, as marijuana’s legal status changes, should the framework for what constitutes “abuse” change, too? Is a recreational user of marijuana like the social drinker, using not abusing, indulging a vice but not committing a crime? Advocates of marijuana legalization often, on one hand, point out that the negative social impacts of alcohol are far worse than those of marijuana, which are barely detectable outside of use by minors. Yet, when looking to regulate marijuana use, laws and systems governing alcohol use remain a basic framework for what legalized marijuana laws should look like. For the record, I have never abused marijuana. Oh, our Colorado Freedom-Fest has suffered a setback. The state is saying they won't have the pot licenses ready by Jan 1. I'm hearing maybe February or March. which screws up my plans. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Rick's Obamacare Situation (Last issue) Link Send e-mail to Bart

Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Dallas game Dallas beat your team this week! That was fun. Bill Clark Bill, you are correct! Dallas was being spanked hard by the last-place, 1-6 Vikings for almost the entire game, when, at the last minute, the Cowboys came back to win a thrilling victory - good for them. So I'm sitting there watching the game, listening to Joe Buck and Troy Acheman prattling on and on about how Dallas is the greatest team ever and how they're the most talented team and yada, yada, yada, when, one would guess, the guys in the booth got as sick of their Cowboy worship as America is and they posted this on the screen. ha ha I thought I was going to f-ing HURL! The poor Dallas Cowboys have been losers for the last seventeen years? And they've only won ONE playoff game in the last seventeen years? Gee, that's only one more than me and I don't play football. Suddenly, I felt kinda ashamed, like I'd been teasing a special needs child all these years. Had I realized how truly terrible Dallas's record was, I might've gone easier on them! I'm so old, I remember when Dallas was a winner. Seventeen years is generation of the Dallas Cowboys losing. That's gotta suck. Send e-mail to Bart Here's another chance to donate.
