Black on Black
 by  Isaac Peterson

I thought I was pissed off about the last election until I read this:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A20918-2001Jun4.html

They're pissed because the report was released before they had a chance to respond?!!!
They think that there is any possible defense for the shit they pulled?
Their actions directly led to one of the biggest "fuck you's" to minorities in this country
since Jim Crow, not to mention to most of the rest of the country, and they have the nerve
to say that it is "fraudulent and shameful" that the report came out early?!!!
That's what they're worried about?

The report was careful to say that the disenfranchisement was not something that could be proved
to be a "conspiracy" but I am convinced there was one. I believe that the people involved pulled off
one of the biggest crimes in this country's history, and they're never going to  pay for it.

These people had a hand in throwing out the Constitution and giving us an idiot in the top job
in the world who's not fit to work in a fucking car wash! These people think there is any possible
thing they say in a few days from now that will make any of this okay?

I'm tired of having for all my life people like these lecturing me that if "we" would just get ourselves
educated and keep our noses clean, we would make it in this country. But far too many of us have
educated ourselves and have great ethics, work and otherwise, and we're still no closer to the light
at the end of the tunnel. And many others of us who have tried have been denied the opportunities
to get a leg up, and then are attacked and derided for being where we have been forced to stay.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about how if we all just had the kind of morals they do that everyone
will be happy and everything will be hunky dory. I will not sit quietly while they do everything in
their power to hold onto power and expect us to make an exception for them. I will not be quiet
while they claim they are not racists and then use "Willie Horton" caricatures to scare gullible,
ignorant and frightened people into voting for them. There will never be a report they can issue
that will quiet me down.

I am pissed off that one of the best paying jobs in this country for blacks right now seems to be
writing columns and books, making  speeches, and appearing on television to criticize other black people.
Walter Williams, Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, they and everyone else who has sold out can go straight to Hell.

While they are lecturing the rest of us about being lazy and asking for things to be handed to us, they are
showing the rest of us just how little there is they won't do to make it. Many of the rest of us are on the
bottom because there are things we WON'T DO. Like stabbing our own brothers and sisters in the back
and climbing on the piled up bodies to get to the top. Clarence Thomas, as head of the EEOC allowed
THOUSANDS of discrimination claims to sit beyond the statute of limitations, and was awarded with a
lifetime job of being Scalia's fuck buddy on the Extreme Court. He and the others have theirs now,
and their lives are dedicated to keeping Massa on top. If that's the price for making it, then I will be
poor and happy the rest of my life because I know what I am and what I refuse to be.

These are the same people trying to convince us that we shouldn't pay attention to Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton,
Louis Farrakan or anyone they don't approve of. We should be good little children and listen to who they think
we should. They have demonized anyone speaking for us, and are doing everything in their power to make
Jesse Jackson's life miserable. Jesse vowed to stay and fight until everyone knew exactly what had happened
in Florida, so he had to go.

What happened in Florida was gang rape on a colossal scale. And I use rape in its purest, ugliest form.
Tens of thousands of minorities went to the polls in November believing that no matter what, no matter
how bad other parts of the system are, at least there is this thing we call Democracy that lets them have
some small say in how things are going to go.

This time the system said "Just who the fuck do you think you are? We like things the way they are and
nobody gives a damn what your little colored opinion is." Just like that, we all found out that Martin Luther
King died for not a goddamned thing and Abraham Lincoln may as well have never lived.

And then to have 5 termites on the Extreme Court use the 14th Amendment (the one that gave all Americans
their "freedom") to justify not counting the votes that did get cast in order to install a "man" who doesn't even
know we exist except as props for photos is more than just a kick in the pants. 90% of black people in this
country voted against Bush-and that was before word got out about the crap that was pulled in Florida.
Just like that, the whole Civil Rights movement was thrown out the door, the Voting Rights Act, all of it.
We have it officially now: we don't matter, and as far as they are concerned, we don't exist.
Once again, David Horowitz and anyone like him can kiss my ass.

I am pissed that the people telling us to "get over it" are some of the people with the most access to this system.
"We got what WE want, and that's all that matters. Now fuck off." This system doesn't exist for anyone who's
not already in it, and we got reminded that we can't even use the servant's entrance.

I never could condone the Black Panthers or any of that kind of thing, but all of a sudden I realize that
sometimes people react in proportion to the way they feel they've been treated. And if there are enough
people that feel like me, the blowback from this is going to be a real bitch for some people.
The Democrats haven't been doing the job for us, and it's anybody's guess how the vacuum is going to be filled.

I'm never going to bend over for these fuckers, and I'm never going to GET OVER IT!
